Naava walked towards the labyrinth of hedges, following Lenetha Vadan, the new Skotadi kurio. Lenetha was a strong, but kind woman, and sadly was far too trained to fall prey to Naava's mild allure. Naava was sadly realizing how poor her allure really was day by day as it continued to not effect anything more than foolish humans who didn't know of Elysia. Sighing slightly, Naava slung the bag carrying most of her supplies into position on her back. As Lenetha spoke, Naava slid on the pair of katars she'd recieved per request. Her secondary weapon, a simple short sword, was already strapped around her waist. Naava would easily be able to drop the katars and unsheathe her sword if she needed to, but only if she needed to.

As Naava stood in front of the entrance to the maze, she took a deep breath. Lenetha gently placed a hand on Naava's shoulder and said "Don't worry, I'm sure you'll do fine." Naava smiled at her soon to be leader, but inside she rolled her eyes. Stupid peacekeepers. Those wimps thought they could win a war by being nice, but they were wrong. Fighting was the only sure way to be victorious, Naava knew this and set the belief firmly in her mind as she stepped into the maze that her strength would lead her through this easily.

Naava decided right then that she'd take every second right, and if she hit a dead end, she'd turn around and take the first right she found. with this plan she wouldn't get herself turned around and she quickly needed to use it too. Not far down the starting path she encountered two turns and kept true to her plan, taking the second right she saw. From there she was forced to turn left when she reached a rather intimidating wall, and then right when she reached another one. Reaching for her pack, Naava pulled out one of the bottles of water Lenetha had given to her and open it up. Quickly she downed half the bottle. She'd walked for over an hour already and was beginning to tire. This maze was alot bigger than it looked when she'd started.

Ending her short break, Naava reequipped herself and warily headed down the darkened passageway. Soon her stomach flipped as she smelt the scent of old blood. She wasn't sure if it was just her imagination, but all the bushes around her seemed blood spattered. It was all dried now though, so Naava was unable to tell if her eyes were playing tricks on her or not.

Warily, Naava continued down the path, passing up the next left turn to pursue her strategy of always taking the second right. Sadly her 'fail-proof' strategy failed when she hit a wall. Naava cursed loudly as she pressed her hand against the bushes in front of her and drooped her head. The action caused her to scratch her had, and gave fresh blood to the already splattered hedges. Sighing, she turned around and relented to going left where she'd passed it before.

Walking down the path, Naava was growing sick of the dried blood, literally. The smell was disgusting, worse than that awful demon in the salon. Coming to the end of the path she was on, Naava smiled slightly. There were two turns. One with what seemed like more blood, and one with the familiar safety of darkness. Naava was now faced with a choice, comfort, or strategy. I hate mazes..."

(((ooc: she went down 7, and went all the way down 8 where she hit the wall, then she turned back and went down 9 and is deciding which path to take on the corner of 9 and 10.)))

Dead silence rang through the air as the hedges began to darken to one side, and stay the same to the other. If one were to look toward the darkness, cobwebs could be seen stringing along the walls, hanging and clumpy. Unlike abandoned webs, these were obviously occupied as small rodents were wrapped, some still twitching from suffication and being paralized. What ever could create webs this size, can capture prey that big... not many people would want to know.

Toward the other path, the stench of blood continued to reak into the air. As if to justify the hedges, the carcus of a small animal lay near the edge of the path, most of meat eaten. Even the ground itself seemed to be stained with the blood. So what would one choose? A dark tunnel, seeming inhabited by spiders, or possibly something that could rip you in two?

Catching sight of the eroding body on the ground, Naava decided to go into the comfort of darkness rather than barf by having to stand in this odor any longer. Even as she stepped away from the red soaked hedging, she still could smell it. Pulling on one of the short sleeves of her t-shirt Naava lifted it to her nose before quickly putting it back. "-bleep- It's soaked into my clothes" She shouted angrily as she walked.

Eyeing the intricacies of the cobwebs, Naava's foot got caught in some sort of weed on the ground. Flying forward, Naava's arms went in front of her face before she hit the ground, hard. Cursing wildly as she got up, Naava's mood quickly changed as she realised what the plant was. all around her was a small grove of the herb. Naava quickly went through, plucking the plants and shoving them not only into her bag, but various spots on her person. If she had to ditch her supplies, she was NOT about to have to find this stupid flower patch all over again.

Looking up, a sense of dread came over here as she realized she wasn't sure which way she came into this small enclosure. Picking a path at random, Naava proceeded down it only to find that it was a dead end. Turning back, Naava just walked through the herbs and went straight down the path across from the one she'd just tried. Finding yet another dead end, Naava turned back and wound up in the herb patch yet again. "-bleep- it! This whole -bleep- maze is so -bleep- stupid!" she yelled out in aggrevation.

(ooc: she went down 10, then went into the herbs via 45, then went up and down both parts of 50 and is back in the herbs.)

The Anyeli's words rang loud through the air, stirring up the sleeping creatures throughout the maze. A handful of bats took flight from the darkness, screeching as they passed over the fledglings head, trying to escape the noise in which she made.

A soft wind picked up as night began to take over the maze, making the dark even darker, and the light nearly compleatly gone.

In the distance, theres a distinct sound of rusling bushes, and if one were to listen hard enough, pounding hooves. A low, almost inaudable snort came from no piticular direction, but it would make sense that it would be the cause of the blood splattered hedges.

Naava started when the bats began to screech and come towards her. Acting on instinct, She slashed upwards with her katars in an effort to kill what ever was above her. The bats, however, flew higher than Naava could reach, so they were allowed to survive... for now. Her heart rate slowing, Naava felt the darkness around her grow even more thick than before. She cherished the comforting blanket that the hands of darkness abundantly lavished all over her body. Naava considered setting up camp for the night here, but decided against it when she felt the wind. Sighing slightly, Naava decided to drudge on.

After digging through her bag for a short while, Naava flicked on her flashlight and soon realized she was unsure of which way she'd come from. That's when she heard a subtle pounding noise. Naava quickly decided then that she'd follow it. It was hard as the sound seemed to echo from every direction, but soon Naava found herself back in the sickening red passage ways. Naava suppressed the gag reflex and could only hope this blood would soon be gone. Sadly it didn't fade as quickly as hoped and Naava had to stop to empty her stomach after accidentally stepping on a small rodent's carcass.

Recovering after a moment, Naava recognized where she was, but decided to continue on down this path walk down winding pathways that seemed to lead no where at all, just heading to the left this time. With one katar in her left hand, and her flash light in the other, Naava pushed onwards as the dark grew darker still. Finally she came to another crossroads. Naava needed to make a decision on which way to go soon, before she hurled once again, or worse, lost consciousness.

(ooc: she went 45, 10, 11,12,13 ad is now on the corner of 14 and 15.)

Sniffing around a dead carcus, Anchora snorted. He'd been asked to man the maz for the next few days, and hunt whatever was inside it down. Including young Anyeli. Normally he was a peaceful pig, although a carnavor no doubt. But if Suka asked him to do it, then he would.

Everything that lay on the ground, all the blood splattered on the hedges, non of it was caused by him. But hi was however given war paint before entering the maze. Not so much artistic as gory. But again, Anchora did as Suka asked and wore it. The blood covered the boars snout and feet and tusks. His natural skin and hair was all black, which already gave him a sinister look.

Hearing the Anyeli coming his way, Anchora lowered himself to the ground, getting ready for her to turn the corner. He'd been watching her, but was told to wait at a specific spot to attack. It varied each time. When the female finally rounded the corner, Anchora launched himself forward, grunting and squeeling as he aimed for the girls legs, ready to knock her off them.

(Ill be godmodding at some points, and not at others. Hav fun and good luck ^_-)

(ooc, map reposted for my own reference, hehe)

Naava started to head towards a path when she heard something to her left. Quickly she pointed her light at the creature as she attempted to jump away. The pig however, hit Naava's legs as she jumped, knowcking her to the. As she hit the ground she cursed loudly at failed her attempt at evading the pig's attack. Quickly she tried to get up off of the ground but she faltered as she felt a sharp pain where she'd been hit in the leg. It soon went numb, so Naava paid it no mind and located the beast who'd attacked her.

Finding it directly in front of a pathway, Naava formed a plan and immediately set it into motion. Opening her wings behind her, in an attempt to make herself appear as a larger creatue than she truly was, Naava ran at the beast, the katar she held pointed at it's body. Just as she came close enough though, she jumped over the boar, her dagger swinging low beneath her body. The moment she hit the ground she ran wildly. She'd take every single turn she came to in the effort to lost that blasted pig.

Naava was in such a desperate hurry to get away from her attacker that she didn't even notice when the blood saturated shrubbery dissipated into your average plant color. Nor did she notice when she found her way into the comfort of looming darkness again. What she did notice however, was the ground slamming into her face when she fell trying to turn a corner at such an accelerated pace. Naava cursed violently as she hit the rocky floor hard. But as angry as she was, she was mortified when she saw the position her left leg was in. "Oh god it's broken!" She gasped, still unable to feel it's pain, or any feeling in it at all actually, as the endorphines still pulsed through it, trying to give her escape time.

Crawling across the floor, Naava found her weapon and her flashlight nearby. Trying to flick on the light, she swore as she realised it was dead. Quieting herself, Naava was careful with every single breath she made as she attempted to drag herself into the corner.

(((ooc: she attacked Achora at 15, ran down 16, 17, 18 and 19. She fell on 20, and is now in the far corner of 20.)))

Naava's remaining supplies:

Please don't godmod the pig. :P Jumping over it's fine, but everything after that assumes it didn't lift its head, or turn to tusk you when you landed. You also assumed it wasn't right on your tail as you ran by having time to rifle through your supplies and pile up the food. Additionally, wild boars are one of the most dangerous creatures on Earth. If it hit Naava's legs, its tusks would have done some serious damage and she wouldn't have been able to walk away from it. ;)

Having heard the crack caused from his tusking her legs, Anchora backed up slowly, ready to charge again while his target was laying on the ground. Pawing at the ground, his muscles aching to run and attack, Anchora lurched, but paused when he remembered Suka's warning. All beings who enter here are weak. They will fight you, but with your skill and cunning, they will not win. Give them a chance, and allow for them to use their mind and strength to overcome this challenge. Do not be weak Anchora, for most will not hesitate to kill you. But don't gore the fallen.

Snorting, Anchora lurched forward yet again, trying to encourage the fledgling to get up and attack. His eyes bore into the females, challenging her with everything he had. The moment she was on her feet, he saw the weapon in her hand, but paid it no mind. Its blade would not cut him. Rushing forward, Anchora lifted his tusks the moment the girl was before him, and knowing she'd been injured, he'd not expected her to jump yet again. The dagger she held sliced through his body, but did not cut him. As if he were of gassy content, the blade flew right through him.

Although blood was not drawn, a weakness from the attack filtered through the boar is if it had actually injured him. Snorting, Anchora turned his head quickly to see the girl running away. Pounding his foot on the ground, he ran the opposite direction. He knew this maze like the back of his hoof, and easily found his way through the shrubbery to meet her the other way. The girl was close to the finish, and it was his job to stop her. Seeing her up ahead, she was yet again on the ground. The moment her blade had passed through him however, he knew she would be tough to beat. Running at full speed, Anchora came upon the fledgling and clamped onto her broken leg with his teeth. Pulling her away from the corner, he began to bite down.

Naava sat against the bushes, their spiky branches stabbing into her back like tiny daggers. What's worse is the she was starting to regain the feeling of pain in her leg. Boy did it hurt! It was all she could do not to cry. She'd been watching the path she'd come from, hoping that the boar wouldn't come for her. Hopefully her minor display of aggression would send it away looking for an easier meal. That's when she felt the vice grip tightening around her injured leg.

Naava gasped sharply as she felt the pain shoot into her leg. Why did the endorphines have to stop working? Naava groped around, trying to find something she could graab hold of to pull herself away from the Boar. Slicing her hands on the thorny bushes she winced, pain plus more pain was a bad combination. Groping along the floor, dirt got into Naava's small cuts, making the pain worse. Screaming as the boar clamped down Naava tried to grab hold of anything a loose rock, branch... wait! she still had her sword!

Unsheathing it she sat forward and slammed it downwards. Hopefully it would kill, or at least injure the best. Heck, she'd be glad if it simply got the monster to release her. Not that she could run in this shape...

(((ooc: due to special circumstances, Naava didn't go anywhere this post XD.)))

Suka had been watching overhead, having sent the faction leader home. He wanted to watch this one for himself, seeing as no one before had ever reached Anchora. He'd met this girl before... and although she'd acted as if they were involved, which, he had no way of disproving, he still was curious about her within the Anyeli latter. She had more spunk than a fledgling, and he wanted to see how she would fair. Bot not only that, he wanted to see how well a fledgling could match up against Anchora.

What he did see... he didn't like. Anchora was only doing what was asked of him, but Suka didn't think he was a right choice for this obstacle. Maybe for when they chose their path, especially for the warriors... but not fledglings. Xanth, what had he been thinking. And the idiot faction leader was allowing this to continue. She hadn't even bee watching the girls progress when he arrived. That in itself set Suka into a raw mood. He was determined to be a good leader, especially after all he had done. And letting a fledgling die was not going to help.

Thrusting his wings hard, the red sheen glistening in the light, Suka dove toward the girl, Clicking his fingers as he approached. Anchora enough! With the tone of his voice, the hog backed off, his nose bloodied by the girls wound. Suka gave him a slight glare to let him know of his disapproval. With that, Anchora trotted of. Bending down, Suka picked up the girl in his arms, holding her close to him. He didn't once look at her, or ask her if she was alright. It was quite obvious that she wasn't.

With an easy thrust of his wings, Skua broke into the sky and out of the maze. Landing at the front steps of the Palace, Suka placed her on the ground, and looked her over. Luckily he'd learned to realize his powers were stronger than he knew, and the fracture in her leg, as well as the bite marks were easily fixable. Within minutes he'd healed her battered body, and sat back on his feet as he kneeled by her side. Don't worry... you passed the faction initiation. He said, knowing she was probably curious. The maze was a good idea, Suka still thought so. But it needed to be rehashed. After time and thought, he knew he could improve it, and make it more suitable for fledglings.

Standing up, he held out a hand to lift her off the ground. You have the herbs. Just make your way to your ceremony. With the portal free for others, im sure you have family and friends waiting to see your wings take the faction color of your choice. Congratulations. he said, giving a small nod before turning to head to his quarters.

Naava growled angrily when her blade hit the ground. Shoving it forwards, the metal grated against dirt and stone making an awful screeching noise. Looking upwards, she glared at her savior, not even trying to put on her facade of love. It hadn't worked before, so why should she keep pushing at it? What she did try to push at, however, was Suka as he drew her close to him. Couldn't he tell her leg was shattered? She yelled out in pain as contact was made with open wounds and separated bones. Soon the pain was alleviated as Suka apparently healed her once again.

Pushing him away, Naava got herself off of the floor. "My hero." She said with an eyeroll, her voice dripping with sarcasm. "Listen Suka, next time you need to get your rocks off by saving someone, save someone who really needs it." She said, elongating her curves so that the setting sun accentuated her body to Suka. He'd rejected her, so now she was gonna do her very best to torture him. Turning away from him, Naava began to walk towards her Kurio. The two then walked off towards Naava's ritual alone. Trying to convince herself she didn't need anyone the entire time she walked.
