Zanaryan Fire manipulators are called Ifriit, and they serve the unpredictable Lord Ea?. Unlike the Nymphs, who treat the Nereids with disdain, Zanaryans do not see Fire as an element to be scorned. In fact, many of Zanarya?'s political leaders have been Ifriit.
The Ifriit nation, Keikis, is highly volcanic, but it is evidence of the Ifriit control over their land and their element that less than a hundred Zanaryans have died in volcanic eruptions in the last two hundred years.
