The Anyeli Air Force, made up of the Peltachi (infantry) and Dimachi (mounted cavalry).

The Air Marshal of the Aeromichi.
Agechi
A division of the Anyeli military responsible for enforcing the law and carrying out necessary punishments. It is made up of the Varagoi and Dikasi.
Anti-Xanthian
Any religion, or any follower of such a religion, that denounces Xanth as their god. Anti-Xanthians may still believe her to be the original Creator, but think she has been or must be replaced by someone better (ex: the Sect of the Dragon?).
Anyeli
Anything related to the Anyeli, including their language.
Archon
The highest possible rank for Anyeli, and the figurehead leader of the Empire.
Arkiga
The leader of the Apali.
Arkigo
The male equivalent of the Arkiga, the leader of the [{Classes/Apali]].
Ashahrah
The tenth and final month of the Zanaryan calendar (November to December).
Aspects
Aspects are the living things that make up a Nymph's demesne, from the trees and animals to the insects, fungi and even the smallest particle of an element. Each one contributes to the collective consciousness of the demesne itself and plays a vital role in maintaining the natural balance.
Asteri
Anyeli Special Forces. The Asteri is a division of the Anyeli military normally consisting of trained assassins but may recruit anyone with training above and beyond that of regular soldiers.
Azat
A Zanaryan who has sworn fealty to, and is still in service to, a Shrine Lord.
Aziz
A Zanaryan who is considered a master of their element and has as a result been released from active service to their Shrine Lord.
Brume
A Mystrider village.
Chinyela
The language of the Mystriders.
Creator
"The Creator" is the name given to Xanth for her role in the creation of Elysia and its sister realms.
Demesne
A demesne (pronounced domain) is a parcel of land, between 5 and 50 acres, that bonds with a Warden. Also known as a "grove", it develops a collective consciousness shared by all the Aspects living within its borders.
Deminas
The seventh month in the Elysian calendar. It corresponds to March.
Dikasi
The Anyeli Empire's justice corps, made up of Peacekeepers who use empathy and telepathy to judge criminal cases.
Dimachi
A cavalry division of the Anyeli military, normally mounted on pegasi. They are trotted out for ceremonies more than used in active battle now.
Djan
A Zanaryan who has not yet sworn fealty to a Shrine Lord and thus has no elemental control.
Dracovari
Plural of Dracovarian.
Dracovarian
A descendent of the dragons who successfully assumed human form during the Great Split.
Duminas
The second month of the Elysian calendar. It corresponds to October.
Emporemai
A civilian branch of the Anyeli Empire that oversees trade and economy.
Eremis
One of two leaders of the Peacekeepers (one for each of the factions). Where other segments of the Anyeli Empire are split up into divisions led by their own military chiefs, the Erimis oversees all three of the non-combatant branches (Pedaea, Emporemai and Theologae).
Erethera
The Peace Corps division of the Anyeli military. Not to be confused with the non-combatant branch overseen by the Eremis, this is a military division that includes the Polethera (medical corps) and field ambassadors.

The eleventh month in the Elysian calendar. It corresponds to July.
Faeth
Any being, sentient or otherwise, born of the Fae Forest? (ex. "No matter how long they live in a town, the Faeth are wild at heart").
Familiar
A Familiar is an animal that has bonded with a Wanderer. They often gain a measure of intelligence from their bond, but also serve as a mobile Source of their Wanderer's element.
Fury
See Furies.
Furies
Furies act as a commune's border patrol and are the only Nymphs permitted by the Sylvan Creed to attack without provocation, so long as it is somehow in defense of the commune they protect. They only appear in communes where the gender segregation is severe.
Heart
All Sylvan communes have a "Heart", but what that Heart is made of varies. (In many Dryad communities, it is the "Heart Tree" or a stone altar called the "Heart Stone".) The material and location is always significant and sacred as this is where their rituals take place.
Hel
Elysia's? sun. It's also a common expletive (ex. "What the Hel!" or "What under Hel?").

The fifth month of the Zanaryan calendar before it was merged with Sharbina 1850 years ago.
Kuria
The female equivalent of the Kurio, the leader of the Skotadi.

One of six members of the Synedrion (the Anyeli Council of Representatives). Four are caste leaders (two each for the Warriors and Peacekeepers), and two faction leaders.

A guttural language spoken by the Malaki.

The first month of the Elysian calendar. It corresponds to September.

A civilian branch of the Anyeli Empire which deals with education and orphan care, or really anything to do with children.

The fifth month in Elysia's calendar. It corresponds to January.

The military branch of the Anyeli Empire.
Polethera
The medical corps division of the Anyeli Empire's military, made up of medics and healers equipped and trained for the field.
Pyrominas
The ninth month in the Elysian calendar. It corresponds to May.

The head of a Zanaryan tribe in Ilia.
Sabhasha
The seventh month of the Zanaryan calendar (July to August).
Selene
Elysia's second moon, which is not normally visible to the naked eye. (There are some exceptions, however, like the Danse Macabre.)

The eighth month of the Zanaryan calendar (August to September).
Shahrtesha
The ninth month of the Zanaryan calendar (September to November).

The third month of the Elysian calendar (March to April).

Shaping
An artisan skill most common among Dryads, Shaping is the act of "growing" murals and other visual depictions into a material such as wood. The result is similar to the work of a carpenter or stonemason, but Shaping is done by manipulation of elements. It can be employed in art but is more frequently used to build homes.
Settasha
The sixth month of the Zanaryan calendar (June to July).
Sharbina
The fourth month of the Zanaryan calendar (April to June).
Sharnain
The second month of the Zanaryan calendar (March).
Shawahed
The first month of the Zanaryan calendar (January to March).
Shrine Lord
One of four leaders (one for Air, Earth, Fire and Water) of the elemental and religious sector of Zanaryan society.
Shroud
The cloud of mist-like vapour exuded by a mystdragon.
Sidhe
The Sylvan word for male Nymphs. Sidhe are almost an entirely separate species.
Sigil
Sigils are the male equivalent of a Fury. They act as a commune's border patrol and are permitted to attack without provocation so long as it is somehow in defense of said commune or its residents.
Sky Lord
The leader of a Mystrider clan.
Sovereign
One of the many names attributed to Danae?, the god of Acantha. It is used primarily by Mystriders.
Summon
To call to one's side a dragon (Mystriders or Dracovari), familiar (Nymphs), or reaver (Malaki). The summons is either empathic, telepathic or a mixture of the two depending on the Summoner.
Sylvan
Anything of a "Nymphly" nature, from their language (ex. "Sylvan is a melodic language") to their culture (ex. "Sylvan festivals are very nature-based").
Sylph
A Sylph is a Nymph priestess. She performs all the rites and rituals for her commune.
Sylvan Creed
The Sylvan Creed? is a pact sworn by early Nymphs to end the Elemental War?. It decries violence, emphasises the importance of the natural balance, and is the primary reason for their pacifism.
Synedrion
The Anyeli Council of Representatives that governs the Empire, consisting of the six lochoi and four military chiefs from the Aeromichi, Varagoi, Dikasi and Polethera.
Tanakheimein
OOC information only: Anything related to Tanakheim? or its people. It also refers to the Tanakheimein language, which is a mixture of vocal and telepathic? concepts too complex for mortals to comprehend.
Telominas
The sixth month in the Elysian calendar. It corresponds to February.
Tesseminas
The fourth month of the Elysian calendar. It corresponds to December.
Thallominas
The third month of the Elysian calendar. It corresponds to November.
Thanatas
The twelfth and final month of the Elysian calendar. It corresponds to August.
Theologae
A civilian branch of the Anyeli Empire which deals with religion and culture. Their responsibilities include care of the Cloud Library? and Cloud Palace?, but they no longer maintain any temples or shrines.
Varagoi
A subdivision of the Anyeli military responsible for enforcing the law, also known as The Guard.
'Vari
Short for Dracovari, the plural of Dracovarian.
'Varian
Short for Dracovarian, the descendents of the dragons who assumed human form during the Great Split.
Water Shaping
Water Shaping is similar to Shaping but is considered an art form all its own. The domain of the Nyads, it is used most often for entertainment but can also have practical purposes (such as forcing water to defy gravity in order to carry a fresh supply to a tree-top commune). Water Shaping is also used in some coastal communities to defend against storms.
Waymarkers
There are two kinds of waymarkers. Regular waymarkers are sign posts or, as in the case of Danurai?, small monuments meant to guide travellers to a safe route or help them gauge distances. Many Nymph communes Shape waymarkers into the trees and rocks to serve as route markers or warnings. Some such communes hide these markers so only their own can find them.
XA
XA stands for "Xanth's Arrival" and marks the beginning of the Elysian calendar as the date when she first appeared to Danyel? on Earth (8,000 BC).
Xanthai
Elysia's currency.
Xanthian
Any religion, or any follower of such a religion, that features Xanth as the Creator of Elysia.
Zanaryan
Anything related to the Zanaryans, including their language.

The Zanaryan calendar is called "Zanaryan Time" and began in 1,060 XA?.
