There's a white poster with a black and white photo. Above the photo the word "wanted" is spelled out in very large letters. "'One-Winged Ben' - Wanted alive for questioning in a murder case," is all the page says apart from the header. The man in the photo has one Zanaryan wing, but the other is no where to be seen. There's also a large scar going across one of his eyes.

An engraved envelope is pinned to the billboard. A note inside, written in gilded penmanship, reads: "Rumors that miners have uncovered substantial cuts of alastis in the Mines of Kyriake have piqued my interest. Bring me back the pretty stuff, and you will be paid handsomely." It would be near-impossible to extract the gem yourself unnoticed, so you will need to find another way to get the alastis to the employer.

After conversing with your local baker, you learn that he recently rescued a griffin cub from poachers. The baker would like to release the newly healed cub back into the wild but is afraid the young animal will just be captured again. He doesn't have time to travel to the griffin's natural habitat himself, so he asks: "Say, you wouldn't be headed to the coast, would you?"

EMPLOYER: Serin Mandrake (Human)

START: Your home town

OBJECTIVES:

Either:

Escort the griffin cub to its natural habitat (the mountains or the coast).
Protect and care for the griffin cub on the way.
Release the cub into its natural habitat.
Return to Serin Mandrake with proof that you released the cub and that it's doing well.

Or:

Take the cub to a beastmaster who will domesticate it for a PRICE.
