The garden was boring. It was as simple as that. He'd lived within it his entire life, and loved to get out every chance he could get. Before Nymphadora, Sacha was stuck, wandering the plains without much to really do. No other females of his species, at least cheetah, existed within the garden. And even if there were, they'd have nothing to do with him. His mutation, although helpful in so many ways, was what one would call a turn off for the ladies. At least, the normal felines. Sure, there were a few others that didn't mind his bulky black wings, but mostly, they scoffed at his presence, and continued on.
With his familiar out and about, busy ignoring him, and with him not needing to be with Nymphadora, Sacha had found himself wandering around the shifter grove. There wasn't much to do within the forest either, though the surroundings were new, and exploring was half the fun. When he'd gotten to the tunnel, the large king cheetah wasn't sure what to make of it, or even if he should venture inside. He'd seen others pass, most which ignored him, something that wasn't done often. He knew nothing of shifters, or their way of life. He didn't even know what exactly they were. Or any living race actually. The large cat could determine from humanoid to beast, but that was about as wide as his range was. No matter what his communication skills were with the nymph, Sacha was still a wild animal, who couldn't grasp the differences between a human and a demon. Or hell, even a human and a nymph. Allure had no effect on him, as there was no attraction between man and beast.
Once deep within the caverns, Sacha ignored the fact that his wings would be useless within the caverns. Venturing on, he slowly followed the scent of the springs coming from deep within. His route was different than that of the two shifters making their way to the same destination, but both paths intersected, combining into one before continuing on into the springs. As Sacha neared the fork, the thudding sounds touched his ears, causing them to flick forward quickly. Humanoids had passed him along his route, so their sounds didn't startle him, though as always, Sacha remained cautious.
Stepping forward, his large paw silent on the rocky floor, the winged cheetah stepped into the path, directly before the runners heading his way. He'd step back before being tripped on, of course, but his sudden appearance might cause one of their steps to falter. Who... was a matter of time.
