Chris smiled as Laurel left go. She watched as the girl shifted, and stood still for a moment, contimplating her next move. When she had decided, she moved forward to her opponet, ignoring the nothing more than annoying pain in her ankle.

She moved slowly, but she was ready to jump out of the way should Laurel make an attack. Coming closer to Laurel, she suddenly swung back her right arm in a fist, and aimed for the girl's face. She almost hoped Laurel would block it.

This is a bit too much godmodding. Scrapping is the one area you're allowed to make shorter posts (within reason) because there's more of a give and take - it would have been better to try to hit, then wait for Laurel's reaction before making a potential next move, since you aren't leaving Laurel much of a choice here.

Laurel wasn't surprised when the girl's right fist came towards her face, and it was nothing more than instinct for her to bring her left arm up to block the punch and to swing her right leg out in hopes of hitting the girl behind the knees. Well, the last part wasn't instinct, but it did add in a bit of her own attack towards Miss Vampire-Newly-Turned-Doesn't-Wanna-Talk-About-It. (Yes, Chris will be referred to as that whenever Laurel sees her. )

In the process of kicking, the 'shifter ducked down, bending onto her knees to wait for another attack.

Chris smiled as Laurel blocked her punch. She was surprised, however, when the girl swung her leg out towards her. She jupmed, folding her legs. The tips of her toes grazed Laurel's leg as it went under. As Chris landed back on the ground, she stumbled a bit, but held out her arms slightly, balencing herself. Once she was settled, she turned on her left foot, pulling back her right leg and aiming it towards Laurel's stomach. As it went forward, however, Chris was surprised to see that she was now aiming towards Laurel's shoulder instead. Oh well. As long as it hits her.
