[Laurel]

A medium-height girl of eight-teen walked out of the cinema with a sigh. Laurel had just watched yet another "chick flick", though she preferred a different term, alone. She'd been feeling out of place ever since she'd come to Elysia, not making very many, if any, friends. Inside the theater, however, she was reminded of this; Best friends crying into each other's shoulders as the movie went on, two or three couples snuggling together... The normal things you see at movie theaters.

Walking down the street, she considerred the options she had. She could open up a shop, though she didn't know what she could sell. She'd seen that the furniture shop was for sale, though she hestiant about talking to Chenoan. Why, she wasn't sure. Laurel had never really been the shy type. But maybe it was because he was the 'shifter alpha, a higher level, while she was just a 'shifter cub. She resolved to talk to him later.

[Ryou]

Ryou walked down the street; Tall, dressed in black jeans and a zipped lather jacket, hair silver-colored and just barely brushing his shoulders. He was surprised he hadn't drawn much attention to himself, though that must be a good thing. He wasn't human, and didn't really care to interact with non-elysians.

His eyes searched the people on the street around him, searching for another Elysian. His attention was drawn to a girl, maybe four or five inches shorter than himself. She was kind of cute, though she was dressed in clothes you'd see on a beach boardwalk; Short shorts, the tank top, the sandals... The whole thing.

The dragon grinned. She was a 'shifter, he assumed, and probably only level one or two (of course, so was he, but it didn't matter to him). Walking past her, he bent down and whispered, "A cute thing such as yourself shouldn't go walking in the big city alone," before briskly walking away before she could notice he'd even been there.

[Laurel]

Laurel jumped a foot into the air as someone spoke to her. She turned quickly, stammering, "Who was... What... Who?" Whoever it was, though, was gone as fast as he'd come. That was... Strange, she thought, shaking her head. Maybe it'd be best for me to shift....

Looking around her, she walked into a small, empty alley. Her body began to shift, white fur growing over her skin. After a few moments, all that was left where she'd just stood was a ferret kit of white coloring and red eyes. Running onto the sidewalk, she darted around the feet of pedestrians.

[Usagi]

Usagi chuckled. She was sitting in the alley at the side of the cinema and had seen the dragon whisper in the 'shifter's ear. Being a wolf, her sense of hearing was incredibly good and had heard what the dragon had said.

She despised love and often thought it pointless. But she enjoyed watching couples being together and found it incredibly amusing when two creatures flirting, especially when they were different species.

The 'shifter had moved into the alley and had shifted into a small white ferret kit. Suddenly, the kit darted out onto the sidewalk and into the cluster of feet. Usagi chuckled and decided to follow the ferret incase she got a glimpse of the dragon again.

Getting up, she ran after the ferret kit.

[Mahesa]

Mahesa wandered towards the cinema, before noticing Ryou abruptly leaving the area. Dman, did she always have to see some guy she was REALLY akward around wherever she went? Ah, well, it was probably better that she went to her movie as quickly as possible. Hurrying onwards, she almost ran into a... WOLF?! Falling backwards onto her bum, Mahesa couldn't help but let out an ear-piercing scream. I mean, odds werei t was a shifter, but still. It was a WOLF in the middle of NYC. Hadn't Xanth explained to the shifters about the rules of blending in? Pulling her shrunken sweater closer around herself, Mahesa shivered, still recovering from the shock.

[Thryn]

Thryn walked along the path towards the cinema, when she saw a ferret and a wolf pup chasing after it between the people. "I hope people mistake them for something else," she murmured. She was doubtful though. She heard a shrill scream break the air, and she turned around to see Mahesa, a rather spirited person in her eyes.

"Don't...not so loud," she said quickly. It couldn't be helped, though.

[Usagi]

Usagi yelped as a human almost ran into her. She knew attention would be drawn to her so she had to shift into her human form.

She ran into an alleyway as her fur began to tingle. Slowly, skin began to replace her fur and her paws turned to hands and feet. Soon she was standing up, brushing dust off her cloak.

"Stupid thing." She muttered. Being in her human form always made her feel uneasy; she never liked humans and being one made her uncomfortable. She pulled her hood over her head and rushed into the street.

[Ryou]

Ryou heard a scream, ear piercing and terrified. He'd watched the 'shifter go into the alleyway, so he wasn't posisitive who it was. He was, however, interested. Walking back down the street, he realized that it was Mahesa, sitting on the ground. " :potty: . Mahesa, are you okay?!" he asked her, sounding a little more than alarmed.

[Usagi]

Usagi rushed down the street, brushing past the dragon she had seen earlier, but was too frightened of being seen to say 'hello'. She needed to hide somewhere quiet but not so dusty as an alley.

She made her way down the street and towards a path she hoped wouldn't be so crowded. She saw a small bench and sat down on it, huffing and puffing. Running was a lot more difficult in human form, especially since she had to keep herself hidden at the same time.

Usagi sat back on the bench and sighed.

I'll have to regain my energy to shift back. She thought to herself.

[Mahesa]

Biting her lip out of utter vexation, Mahesa pulled herself to her feet. Brushing, or attempting to anyways, the typical New York grime and grit off of the full skirt of her white halter dress, Mahesa spotted Ryou headed her way, calling out her name. Embarassed and annoyed with herself for letting herself get so surprised by the wolf/shifter, she pulled her coral sweater tighter around herself and snapped at Ryou.

Ryou, I'm fine. Honestly. Just go away! I don't need any help! Leave me alone!

She turned, as if to face him defiantly, but without warning, Mahesa collapsed against his chest, in sudden, strange hysterics, unable to control herself. She managed to hiccup out a few words in between sobs.

I don't... know why... I can't...stop... this crying!

[Ryou]

Ryou was about to snap back at her that he was only caring about her, but satopped short when the human fell against his chest. He wrapped his arms around her, bringing one up and rubbing it gently over her hair. "Shhh... Mahesa, it's okay," he said, holding her tightly.

"I do know one way to stop it," he said, pulling away about four inches from her. "Like this," he finished, lifting her chin with his index finger and kissing her deeply.

[Mahesa]

Mahesa felt Ryou's lips gently brush hers, then press harder, but in a good way. After the first moment of shock, Mahesa gave in to the strange emotions surging through her body. Kissing Ryou back just as passionately, Mahesa only vaguely noticed her sweater falling of her shoulders, and her foot sort of... popping. She had never felt this way when she was kissing Max, that much was for sure. Breaking away only due to a lack of oxegyn, Mahesa leaned into Ryou, feeling a sense of protection she hadn't felt since she was a little girl in her father's arms in her Indian birthplace. Their bodies so in sync, Mahesa breathed at the same time as Ryou, completely lost in the moment, not caring about what those passing them by must think. Tilting her head upwards again, Mahesa felt her lips meet Ryou's once again, like it was the most natural thing in the world for her to be kissing a dragon in the middle of a crowded New York street thousands of miles from home.

[Usagi]

Usagi could hear wolf whistling. She smiled to herself and got up. Guess the ferret found her dragon then. She thought to herself. She walked over to the corner of the street and peered round. To her shock, she saw the dragon kissing a human.

Usagi choked. She quickly scanned the street for the ferret, but she was no where to be seen. I guess he just flirts with everyone then. She thought, giggling to herself.

[Ryou]

Ryou stepped back for a moment and stared at her. "Wow," he breathed, eyes searching hers. Well, that certainly wasn't what I expected when I first met her and Aithe, he thought, a grin spreading on his face as he thought of it. Though, I must say that I'm glad it did.

[Usagi]

The couple stopped kissing and the dragon took a step back and stared at the human. Oh God, don't tell me she blew it. Usagi thought. But the dragon was smiling. Usagi let out a sigh of relief.

Hmm, I better get back go and hide in an alley and shift back. Usagi thought.

She pulled her hood closer to her voice and ran down the street amost bumping into a few people.

[Mahesa]

"Wow" Mahesa heard Ryou breathe. Suddenly self-concious, Mahesa realized that her boldness was probably more than a bit off-putting. She began inspecting her espadrilles for dirt and blushing heavily, not seeing his grin. Seeing a hooded figure run down the street, Mahesa remembered what she should probably do right about now. Run. Turning away from Ryou, Mahesa kept her eyes on a pretzel stand, making it her goal to get at least that far away from Ryou before crying. She began to walk briskly, as that was all the faster that her damned high espadrilles would let her move without injuring herself, something likely to happen with her body so strained.

[Ryou]

Ryou started, watching Mahesa walk away. Walking behind her, he reached out, grabbing her wrist and spinning her around. "No, don't go," he said, watching her eyes with his own gray pair. "That wasn't a bad 'wow'. I liked it. A lot," the dragon added. "I really liked it. Please, don't go," he pleaded.

Or... What if I did something, and -she- didn't like it... His grip on her arm loosened slightly.

WOULD EVERYONE JUST STOP THINKING?? He was starting to see why most new blue dragons go completely insane.

[Mahesa]

Hearing Ryou speak, Mahesa stopped short and was spun around to face Ryou. Hardly daring to breathe, Mahesa's wonderfully schizo mind (it's been a while since its' last visit, hasn't it?) flipped through all the reasons why she was being ridiculous, romantic, and over the top.

Number one- you practically called him illegitimate at your first meeting

Number two- This is all so nonsensical.

Number three-.... Okay. You win. There's no reason why you shouldn't believe this all some elaborate prank with cameras and all. So go ahead, make a fool of yourself.

Grumbling other little things to itself, Mahesa's mind retreated into some hidden recess and let her heart take over. As Ryou's eyes bore into her's, and his expression showed many emotions (fear, love, and pain, just to name a few), Mahesa felt like doing a dance. As she pulled her arm from his grasp, she bit her lip, trying to gather the words she wanted to say.

Oh screw it. She thought The only way I could ever express this much emotion is if I dance it. Let him think I'm weird if he so chooses. Grabbing Ryou's wrist, she began tugging him in the general direction of her flat.

Come with me. I have something to show you, something no one else will ever see

[Ryou]

A bewildered look glued to his face, Ryou allowed himself to be pulled by her. Something no one else would ever see? He wasn't sure what to think of that. It could mean something good; Or it could mean something completely opposite, something bad. Shrugging, he followed her in the direction she was walking.

[Synnove]

Synnove strolled down the street with his hands shoved into his pockets. He wasn't sure where he was going, but somewhere quiet would be nice. He looked up and scanned the street to see of any potentially quiet places. He spotted a girl dragging, Synnove assumed, her boyfriend down the street.

Wonder if Yuu's got a boyfriend. He thought laughing.

He doubted his sister would ever get a boyfriend since she always hid her face. Suddenly, a hooded figure ran down the street, almost running into him. It only took him a few seconds to recover.

There's only one person I know who walks round wearing a cloak like that.

He ran after the figure, who had turned into an alleyway.

"Hey, Yuu! Wait up!"
