The Courtyard by the fountain

She smiled. It had always been a dream of hers to live in this place and now she was finally here. Ready to start a new life and make some new friends. Lily was among the first and hopefully would not be the last. Sighing Sky walked over to a bench and sat down folding her gray wings to her body keeping them out of the way and waited for Lily, or anyone for that matter to approach her.

But... that was behind her. There was NO way she was going to let anyone who didn't already know about her being a shade find out. The idea of being a 24-7 slave was embaressing enough, let alone the fact that she was killed by her little sister.
naava, now exhausted from the short flight she'd attempted, laid down beside the fountain, deliberately ignoring the small grey winged angel. Even though Naava still had grey wings, and would have to earn her beautiful Black ones, she already thought of herself as a Skotadi. 'It won't be long..."

"...an I remember!"
Faer jumped as an anyeli yelled and lay down by a fountain in the middle of the courtyard. Faer walked carefully towards the angel.
He was a bit distracted by the large gate -- dissapointingly distinctly iron-colored after the vague grayness of the rest of the palace, but it more than made up for it in size, Faer would have to say. Noticing that he was standing in a slightly skewed and bent position looking from a strange angle at the gate he continued on his all-too cliché, sideways and awkward, yet careful, walk.
'Being an angel is strange work,' Faer thought reflecting on his previous life as fire in a much less strange universe.

Slowly sitting up, Naava looked straight at the newcomer with a slightly mischievious smile. "Hey." She said as she she gave a slow, non-chalant wave and adjusted her body so that she was laying on her side and using her lower arm to prop her upper body up. Keeping her eyes fixed on the man, she waved once again, this time motioning for him to come over. "Let's see if my Nymph looks can still woo a man..." She thought.

Smiling she walked up right behind the male anyeli. Hello She waved her hand slightly and smiled. Her face was so innocent looking that no one would suspect her to be mean.

'This place is weird,' Faer thought, yet again, to himself as he looked from the one anyeli to the other, 'one moment one of them dissapear and the next 2 appear.' Faer stopped walking as he grew slightly nervous at the odd (the naive?) behaviour of these two.
He might not have been in this world for more than an hour, but he had centuries of life experience from his sensical home-universe. Granted this universe was much different, and he had been made purely of fire at home, so perhaps that experience wasn't much use here. 'Whatever happens I'll be sure not to emulate anyone I've met so far...'
It seemed odd for even an angel to go from complete nonchalance to attentive flirting. 'But that angel over there seems to have managed,' he thought. The angel coming from behind him looked so innocent that he couldn't suspect that she was mean.
Perhaps the two anyeli knew each other and the fountain anyeli was talking to the other, not Faer...
In any case, Faer decided to jump startled to the side and say, nervously and suspiciously, "Hello?"

He wasn't much, but he was mildly attractive. In fact, if it weren't for the entire weak and grey winged thing he had, Naava might actually have liked this guy. Sadly, he was just a tool for her to sharpen her skills on. Perhaps they could wind up as passing friends, as long as he didn't become the anyeli scum she despised.
Honestly, Naava couldn't understand why anyone would want to be a pathetic white-winged lemming when they could harness the powers of the shadows. Nymphadora, her sister, was blinded by her longing to be an apalos - just like their pathetic father. Naava wished Dora would just embrace the powers she cold have at her finger tips. Controling water and ice with a whim was Naava's dream; but Dora was the one who got to become a nymph. She'd become an ayad at that. Choosing her anyeli side even while a nymph. It was sickening to her.
At least Keanu had take the chance and become a nyad. Naava was so proud of her younger brother, he was truly a prodigy. Of corse, Naava had trained him. The skills he had werE trully hers, and he'd better never forget that. The boy adn't arrived in elysia yet, well, not to stay. He had come on, back before Naava's death, and become a nyad after his time in the wilderness. He'd also returned briefly when news spread of Naava's death but he couldn't find Dora and so he once again left. Perhaps he'd return when he learned Naava was alive again.
But he couldn't see her like this, weak and tiny. No she' gain a bit of power before inviting him back to Elysia. After all, how hard could it be to become a warrior Skotadi?

Faer put a slight frown over his eyes as he stood to his full length and folded his wings more neatly at his back. He appraised the female anyeli. There was something odd about this anyeli, despite the general oddity of the place; he couldn't be sure if this Naava was to be trusted.
He looked over at the other anyeli [who must be having intarblag problems], but she wasn't making much of any move at all. Faer looked back at the first one.
Faer looked in her eyes in an attempt to discern what she was up to, unfortunately Naava seemed a bit too skilled with her eyes to make anything out. In the middle of his frown, Faer's blue eyes twinkled in irritation.

This guy had turned down some of her best flaunting. Then again, she could be out of practice...
Reaching the front of Faer once again, Naava moved to slide her hand down his arm. "You have such strong arms Faer. Would you mind showing me around the palace?" Naava asked in a sweet voice. If Faer didn't like her being so seductive, maybe she could ease into him. Gentlemen were always the hardest to break.

"You have such strong arms Faer. Would you mind showing me around the palace?"
Faer said "Heh," and took Naava by her shoulders. He looked into her eyes and said, "Whatever you're trying to do... having strong arms has nothing to do with showing someone around anywhere." Letting go of her shoulders and straightening up, he added "I would be overjoyed to show you how to get lost in this palace."
Please refrain from godmodding Thanks!

Furrowing his brow, Suka passed through the courtyard. He was glad to see not too much had changed. He'd been informed that the Palace was now owned by the former Archangel and her "partner", as council called him. And that they were renting out dorms to the public. It didn't make sense to him, like a lot of things recently, but he accepted it.
At first, he'd tried to fight it, tried to tell everyone they were crazy, they they bumped their heads. But in the end, he knew it had to be true. Time had left him behind. Why? All he'd been told was that he was in an accident. Part of him wanted to know more, but another part told him it was best to leave the past in the past.
Walking by a young Anyeli couple, Suka whiped his face clean of his worry as he smiled at them. For some strange reason, he found being the Archangel to came naturally to him. He knew how he could act and behave. Although he sported black...erm, semi black wings, Suka knew he'd wanted to be an Apalos. Making his jugments more fair than any past Archangel probably could. Everything was just happening so quickly. Adjusting was prooving to take time.

Suka! she knew she hadn't known him at all but upon meeting him once she hoped that she wouldn't seem strange in her charecteristics by approaching him on a whim. Waving at him she walked in stride with him though to her he seemed rather tall. How are you? chuckling out of nervousness she eyed the pair of anyeli that she departed from.

As Faer said he'd take her through the palace Naava grinned slightly. Just the the frumpy girl ran off to another angel's side. "Oooo, a Skotadi, but what's with the red tint on his wings?" She thought as she bit her lip, looking him over. Just then the young anyeli shouted out the man's name. "Suka!? As in, the Archangel!?" She thought, her eyes widening for a second before regaining her composure.
Naava had a choice now. Scrap what she was trying to do with Faer and attempt to woo the mighty archangel, or proceed with her current project. "Oh well, I've already started here and the dull girl seems to have Suka busy for now, I'll get to him later." She thought as she focused on Faer once again, a bright smile on her face. "Let's go then." She said brightly, trying a new angle to attract this angel.

Hi. He said friendly. Sending a glance toward the two she looked at, Suka smiled, but felt compleatly out of it. Oh, um, I'm alright. Yourself? Pausing for a moment, he couldn't pull this off... nor did he want to. I'm sorry... you are? He asked casually. He hoped she wasn't a close friend or something. He didn't feel in the mood to have to explain everything. Especially since he knew nothing himself.

He looked back at Naava, "Alright..." He thought for a moment, glancing over at Suka a few times. "Okapy, if you are really interested in... getting lost?" He made an ironic grimace, "Then stay put, ah'll be right back."
He walked over to Suka and the other Anyeli and stood smiling slightly next to them. He didn't want to interrupt.
As he stood there he started thinking back to when he fell from high above the Palace earlier. He found it odd that he had no idea why he was falling, he was certain he had known a minute earlier... 'and what is this red necklace doing around my neck?' he wondered, unmoving as his brain went into chaos mode. His wings spasmed and flicked out straight to either side and back to his back again. His face synched with his brain and it decided to look rather uncertain.
He mumbled "hold on" and walked slowly over to the fountain, put his hands on it's edge and looked into the water at himself.

Naava decided right there that, while she might one day again toywith the man named Faer, she would much rather first see if the new archangel was available. Sauntering over to Suka and the two, now unimportant, fledglings Naava smiled at the Skotadi seductively.
"Hello Suka." She said when she was right nex to him. She didn't care about interupting any previous conversations. If it wasn't about her, it didn't matter to her. If someone were to make the statement that Naava was self-centered, they would deffinately achieve the understatement of the year award.

Folding his hands togther behind his back, Suka smiled politly at the newcomer. Looking around her to the fountian, he noticed a male fledgling gazing at his reflection in the fountian. His smile broadened. Concided much? Shaking his head at the observation, he returned his attention to the two women before him. Letting out a sigh, he looked at the ground. Why cant this be caught on the grape vine? Having to tell every one of his subjects that he didn't remember them, and trying to explain why when he didn't even know himself.
Listen, i'm sorry, but, i dont have any memory form the past few months. Please try and bare with me, it seems i'll be meeting everyone for the second time for the first time. Looking from one to the other, he hoped they would understand. The hopefully spread the word. It seemed to be getting more and more awkward each time he met someone he supposedly already knew.

'I am an Anyeli. I have grey wings. No one I have met here have ever met me. I don't know where I come from. I have clothes on,' he thought to himself as he stretched up slowly from looking down into the water. He looked up slowly at the Palace. He started wandering, the other Anyelis completely out of his mind.
He couldn't think very clearly, so he decided to put his utter confusion out of his mind and find something to keep it out. The space outside the Palace was quite spacious, consequently any attempt at aimless wandering looked rather more aimless than it actually was. Faer was wandering aimlessly.
He found an aim when he saw the practice grounds, and walked towards it.

She looked up quickly slightly shocked that the rumors where true. She sympathized for their leader. To lose ones memories was a horrible ordeal. Not giving a rats -donkey- about the other fledging she went to hug Suka. I'm sorry... I had heard about it but i didn't think it was true. If you want i can help you out with some work if you get to overwhelmed. Stepping back from him she watched for the other girls reaction. Out of the corner of her eye she saw the male fledgling leave towards the direction of the practice grounds.

Bringing her arms down, Naava put her plan into full action as she shouted at him with tears coming down her cheeks. "I thought we loved each other Suka! How could you do this to me!?" She cried as she turned around and started to run away. Flapping her wings when she was a few feet away, Naava took off to a wobbly start.
Naava, well aware of her inadequacy in flight, Naava let herself fall to the ground a few feet away from where she'd started. What she hadn't planned on, was the scrape across her face that occured when she fell from the air. Shaking off the pain of it as best she could, Naava pulled her legs up and continued to cry. Hopefully Suka would fall for her elaborate plan and come to her rescue, thus submitting himself to Naava's will.
