[Synnove]

A lousy yawn escape the maw of the black bundle of fur curled up amidst the trunks of the confiers. A dragonfly had been flitting above him during his nap and irritated that it had aroused him, he snapped at the buzzing thing as it neared his ear. But the dragonfly only flew out of his reach and continued to fly about him, as if to mock him of his failure. The cub let out an annoyed bark, rose from his position and trotted a few feet away where he lay down again. The dragonfly decided against following him and flew off to join his dragonfly mates. Synnove grinned and let out another yawn and placed his head gently onto his paws.

The Lakes around France were beautiful, but he had to admit that of all of them, the Lakes Clairvaux were his favorite. Though he didn't seem like the type, he rather enjoyed peaceful strolls through natural surroundings, he enjoyed the idylic nature of this lake and it gave him time to relax and relieve himself of some stress. It was a warm, sunny Spring's day and the lake was alive with the buzz of the flitting - and annoying - dragonflies and the gentle swish of the bulrushes. It was a peaceful hum which seemed to soothe the shifter, and the sound of the leaping salmon seemed to mix with it and make a harmonic song. The nodded lavenders and swaying heather and long - grass swished about in the Spring breeze, like little soldiers bowing to their colonel. Synnove, without opening his eyes, let out a content sigh and wrapped his tail around his nose. 'Man, it's peaceful here.' He muttered through the fur.

[Amanda]

Amanda ran quickly around the lake, completely covered in clothes. Hat, sunglasses, a headkerchief, long dress with long coat. It was impossible to see even a small part of her. Her worried face, for a second, looked at the lake as she breathed deeply, while still running. Like once in a million years, stepping home. "Bonjour encore, France", she said, lowring her speed to take a look at the lake. The sun was horrible. She began running again, still looking at the lake.

The sound of buzzing insects and the bark of a dog were just a background melody to her hurry. She was visiting France just like she does every one in a while, but she hadn't planned to arrive so early. So early in the day, the sunny day. The burning day.

Her distraction was so peaceful at the same time that she was in extreme hurry. So extreme that she didn't even have time to use her hands to lean on the grass when she felt a fur on her legs, stumbling over a dog. "Pour un Dieu!", she said, looking at the dog.

[Erilyaer]

Erilayer sniffed reproachfully at the sunlight. A girl of my age should never be in torture of this, she thought as she pulled the black material firther over her face. Walking round the lake, she spotted a tree where another vampire and some sort of dog were underneath. She walked over and jumped high, clutching the tree and finally getting up to the nearest branch and sitting on it, swinging her legs. Hey. She said this to them unsurely, waiting for a response as she clutched her black material and looked down.

[Synnove]

Synnove was snoring slightly, prancing through fields of dreams when he felt something hard against his haunches. His eyes flickered and he shoot forward in an instant, swerving to glare at his arouser. He was ready to snap at whoever had awoken him, but ended up snorting out loud when he saw the layered girl. 'Pour un Dieu!' He growled in annoyance; despite the many times he had visited France, he was too lazy to learn the language and just prowled about in his animal form. However, he had picked up a few words here and then. Probably a vampire. He thought. And without thinking, he spoke. 'Qu'est-ce que tu n'es pas chaud?' He asked, but wrinkled his nose knowing that there was some error in his grammar.

Another girl had appeared then, once again wrapped up in layers of clothes. He watched as she leapt into a tree and sat with her legs kicking the air. 'Hey.' Right...another vampire? 'You do know black absorbs heat don't you?' He said in a know - it - all way, reclining onto his haunches. He opened his jaw and revealed a lolling pink tongue as he yawned. A breeze whipped up and Synnove closed his eyes as he enjoyed the wind whipping around his fur. 'Nice day, eh?' He said.

[Erilyaer]

The lakes sparkled azure and she looked at the clear sky and the two beings below her. She was about 2 and a half meters above them, and could see the lake quite clearly. There were birds flying about happily. She clutched at her material, covering her head before she addressed him again.

Oh.... okay. I'm Erilyaer. Erilyaer looked down at the wolf cub helplessly. Spare some blood? She hadn't had any for 2 days, nor had she noticed her hunger until now. She didn't really want to ask until now, when she was vulnerable to that gnawing feeling inside. Wondering if he'd take some kindness on her, she sighed.

[Amanda]

Amanda still couldn't understand what was happening, laid on the ground like a flacid pack of flour. She could hear some speaking, but nothing she payed attention at. Finally putting some strenght on her arms, she sat on the ground and brushed off the dirt of her clothes.

"...Spare some blood?", someone over Amanda said. Her attention quickly went to the girl, on the tree. Amanda was now not only confused, she was angry. What did that girl thought she was?

"You, hungry vampy. Don't you have money? Don't act like a stupid asking for blood. Go to the bloodbank on the underground.", she spit the words, like the thing the girl said was horrible. And it was. Afterall, she simply couldn't do that. She obviously was able to pay for some blood. It was so cheap!

Leaning on her legs, Amanda stood up and faced the girl with her ice-blue eyes. That was simply... Totally wrong. When she came to Elysia, Amanda at least learned the rules. She found that so completely stupid... And what if she asked that to a normal human? What would they think?!

This was when Amanda remembred she had just stumbled over a dog. She kneeled on the floor again to take a better look at the dog, when her mind spoke, slowly and clearly: "You are a complete retarded, Amanda".

"You're not a dog.", she said, mostly to herself than to the wolf cub, or more specifically, the shapeshifter. "You're not a -I'm a potty mouth! x_x- dog.", she added again. At first, she was worried if she had hurt the puppy, then she got angry because the shapeshifter didn't even help her stand up.

Life was so unfair.

[Erilyaer]

Erilyaer shook her head, sighing. With all the strength she could muster, she attempted to drop down and land on her feet. She fell but didn't keep her balance. She was that weak, she dropped down and hit the floor on her knees. "Sorry," she said quietly.

Looking up, Erilyaer sensed the sorrow in her own eyes. She hadn't meant to be rude, it's just she was so weak. She didn't want to attack any humans and drink their blood, she knew that much. She was so knew to this, she decided to just ask instead. "I'm sorry," she thought, then she sensed the other vampire's anger and looked at her own lap. Her knees were now bruised from her landing.

[Scarlett]

Scarlett walked through the long grasses, her sense tantalised by the textures and smells she could sense. As she walked, she trailed her arms by her side, every now and then, her hand hitting a plant, sending up a scent of lavender. Scarlett sighed contentedly, she'd wanted to get away for a while - forget all of her responsibilities, and it seemed that a few hours here would do the job nicely.

Looking ahead, Scarlett was convinced she could make out figures not fo far in the distance. Honing her eyesight, Scarlett could make out two girls, one of which she believed to be Amanda, having met the vampire both at the Crypt, and in their new sanctuary. In front of her kneeled a girl Scarlett had never seen before. Scarlett sighed, this time in frustration, she had the uncontrollable urge to make sure one of her kind was ok, and almost cursing her vampire talents as she did so, she quickened her pace, running throughout the grasses, sending seeds flying in a cloud of dirt behind her.

As the two figures moved closer, Scarlett was pleasantly suprised to see that one of them was in fact Amanda. Despite being a vampire for some time now, Scarlett still found it amazing the skills she possessed. Approaching the duo, Scarlett stopped, flashing a quick smile at Amanda, and a curious glance at the girl on the floor.

"Hey Amanda - is everything alright?"

Scarlett's eyes trailed once more to the girl kneeling as she spoke, and she couldn't help but notice how considerable ill the girl looked. Crouching beside her, Scarlett spoke softly,

"Hey.. I'm Scarlett. Are you ok?"

[Erilyaer]

Erilyaer looked to see Scarlett. She had heard a lot about her, and she had always wanted to meet her. Now she was. In a bad way. Her eyes averted Scarlett; she was quite ashamed of how she was so weak she had been reduced to asking for blood. But she was here now, and there were no humans about.

I'm fine, I think, mumbled Erilyaer. She propped herself up on one bruised knee, then clung to it and pushed herself up, biting her lip enough to break the skin with the strain of standing. She swayed slightly, frowning, then stumbled towards the tree trunk and caught onto it for balance. I'm just weak, that's all.

Synnove's suspicions were confirmed when the girl named Erilyaer started her plea for blood. 'Spare some blood?' Synnove sighed and got up from his position. He snuffled around for a bit, searching for something with a large enough surface area. Upon arriving at a sapling, he glanced up at the leaves and once satisfied, he jumped up and snapped at one of the lower branches. Once he felt the rough wood interlocked with his fangs, he tugged at the branch, lowering it until he could pull some of the leaves off. With a mouthful of leaves, he turned and trotted towards the sick vampire and spat the leaves out. He readied himself when the other girl spoke up. "You, hungry vampy. Don't you have money? Don't act like a stupid asking for blood. Go to the bloodbank on the underground." He growled in distaste. 'What's your problem? He snapped. 'She doesn't have to go to the Blood Bank, anyway, this is what donors are for.' He dipped his maw and was about to slice into his paw when he heard her voice again. "You're not a dog. You're not a -I'm a potty mouth! x_x- dog." 'You don't say, and watch that mouth of yours; you'll end up with a heck of a lotta enemies if you carry on with that attitude.' By then another girl had approached them and Synnove was starting to get quite aggravated. What if this girl was just as rude as the other one? I'll just give her some blood and leave. He thought. But the girl had asked how Erilyaer was and the concern in her voice seemed genuine. He tutted and lowered his muzzle again. With a flash of his teeth, he ripped at his flesh and let the flowing red dribble onto the leaves. Once the blood had done its job, his pink tongue flicked out and he began licking his paw back to shape. 'There.' He said.

[Erilyaer]

Unlike most vampires, Erilyaer liked the taste of blood as humans did sugar among other things. It calmed her down and brought her strength in many ways. Shaking this thought off her, she sighed and stared at Amanda, trying to wonder why the girl it seemed was cold and unkind. She'd only been a vampire for a while now, and didn't really understand much.

Then, seeing Synnove let out blood for her, drank it up quickly. Feeling she wasn't wanted much around here, she kissed him quickly in gratitude and whispered to him Thankyou very much, I'll remember it. See you around Elysia. Patting him, she stood up carefully. Nodding to Scarlett, she stared coldly at Amanda, then walked off slowly away, hoping she'd see Synnove around again sometime, and when she was finally out of there, sighed with relief.

[Scarlett]

Scarlett stood quite still, completely shell shocked - she couldn't believe what the girl had done. Clearly, she'd been asking for blood, it was obvious she was weak, if not for the pale skin and the hollow eyes, but the way she'd even struggled to stand.

Scarlett was considering how she could respond to this situation, when the fledging vampire turned and started walking away. Scarlett once again, was shocked - since when did fledgings walk away from the queen? Feeling the rage bubbling inside her, Scarlett decided this girl needed taking down a peg or two, as well as getting some guidance as to what exactly was expected of the vampires she was in charge of.

Cupping her hands around her mouth, forming a cone shape, which would carry the sound to the vampire - even a level one should be able to hear it, despite their less acute hearing.

"OI! COME BACK HERE!"

Scarlett finished, her hands on her hips, waiting for the girl to respond, before turning to Amanda and the male who had given blood and smiling apologetically.

"Sorry about that little outburst.. its just vampire's have worked hard to be accepted into society, and finally here.. in Elysia they can. I'll be damned if I'm going to let some little fledging ruin everything we have here."

Scarlett finished, breathing heavily, her cheeks flushed with the effort of talking about something she felt so passionately about.
