This forum and this thread are usually pretty much self service so you won't normally be contacted unless there's a problem (although I will be putting mod notes in to confirm refunds).
However, while we change over to the new Housing system, I will be checking things over and deleting old posts as people make their reclaims so make sure you fill out the relevant fields in your character's profile, specifically the Current Residence and Inventory sections. (You can get the new Inventory template here. It's not mandatory as long as you have the Housing section up and list everything in your own way, but the new template helps keep inventories organised so you may want to use it anyway.)
Make sure you keep links and things up to date, too.
CLAIMING A HOUSE
All previous housing claims were invalidated when we introduced the new system in September (2010). For that reason, everyone needs to make a new claim for housing before they can say their character owns a house. (For many of you, this won't mean much of a change at all, and it should improve living conditions for many others, but I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience.)
The good news is that if you reclaim before December 31st, 2010, you'll get a full refund (rather than just the 80%) for whatever you paid for your old house. (I won't delete old posts in this thread until people have reclaimed their house. However, do not edit your old claims. Make a new post for it.

You can also use this form to upgrade at the same time as you make a claim if you want one of the higher tiers. Just change the name to "CLAIMING & UPGRADING" and add a Cost field like in the upgrade form, then send the money to Xanth straight away.

If you're up/downgrading a house you already own, please post the following form, deleting bits as needed. Use > for upgrades (ie. "1 > 3" means you're paying to upgrade from Tier 1 to Tier 3) and < for downgrades (ie. "2 < 1" means you want a refund for downgrading from Tier 2 to Tier 1). If you're upgrading, delete /Refund and put the amount you're paying us; if you're downgrading, delete Cost/ and put the amount we need to pay you (from the chart on the Housing page).
