Gene stood up and examined the scenery with searching eyes. It was almost as if she was testing it, evaluating it, deciding whether it was worthy or not. Almost angrily she stared out at the water just beyond the trees, it was beautiful, of course, but it wasn't her world. She wore the contacts she had recently purchased from the salon, they weren't really necessary, after all, humans were more open minded now, they didn't burn people at the stake any more. Besides, where she was, she'd probably see maybe, two people if she stayed here all day. All the same, she liked to hide her draconic traits, just in case. She was becoming more careful. She strolled along the path, it was known as the West Highland Way, a famous path that people from all over the world came to travel and race on. Of course, she wasn't walking the track. It was almost one hundred miles long, and she wasn't really up to that. Even if she was, she didn't see the point. Instead she walked slowly at her own pace. She walked a little bit away from the path, in the trees, hoping not to be seen. She found she was good at keeping hidden, as a child she would frequently hide around the house, much to the frustration of her mother.Nimbly avoiding as many branches and twigs as possible, Gene decided to take a small rest, the path had now left what little housing that was beside Loch Lomond completely, and was embedded firmly in the woods. A lot of people ran the race, but the way the road twisted just here, it meant if you stood in the same spot, people would have to be within a few feet to see you. Plus, the actual edge of the water wasn't visible from the pathway. Gene approached the edge and slid down till she hit land, you couldn't really tell there was a cove from up on the path, however the water was shallow here, and it wasn't totally uncommon for people to jump down for a paddle.Finding her place she sat down on the pebbles by the water and gazed out. It was beautiful, some people said it was the most beautiful place on earth, to others it was merely a pond. What it meant to Gene she wasn't quiet sure, she'd only been here a couple of times with her mother to visit her aunt, but she had loved coming. But it wasn't quite the same, tourists had come and ruined the natural beauty, and that was why she looked with a strange mixture of respect and disdain.Sighing, she pulled up her knees and hugged them, she waited for something to happen, as it always seemed to do.((Incase you're wondering, this is an open RP ;P))CREDIT

Pesly moved carefully by the waterside. Her steps were pretty much calm and distracted with the beautiful scene she was observing. She was such an irresponsable girl, walking that way exposing her wings as if no one could ever approach and see. She really didn't care about that on that moment. She was with that wonderful sensation of freedom, like when you don't really have to worry about things, and you can stop by and smell the flowers.

Pesly had never been there before. This was one thing she loved in Elysia: the portals. She could go to many places, and even though she had to walk quite a lot to get there, she had the opportunity to. And that made her happy.

She was that kind of strange person that never gets angry, that everything is pure joy. That serenity on the face that looks like she had no worries and had her brain turned off. Maybe even with a sleepy face, that face of a person who's always tired, but always in a good mood, and that can see the good side of everything. This is what Pesly is. The problem is that she frequently gets in trouble, and even more frequently she has to be rescued, because she had really no sense of danger.

And that was one of the moments she turned herself even more off. She really, in fact, wouldn't care if a giant came with one of those butterfly nets and captured her to make a soup. She was quite happy. And so she got closer to the waterside, without looking at the sides, only at the water and the horizon, and sat down with her old jeans short and her red checkered shirt over one of those incredibly old tops. She took off the pair of tennis she was wearing and simply dipped her feet into the water, like she was at the salon, and laid down on the grass. Everything was perfect now, wasn't it?

No one could see her...

...Right?

Gene looked out at the Loch, almost daring herself to smile. She was alone, with this beautiful scenery in front of her, yet she couldn't be honest with herself. hy was she so ashamed to be happy? She felt the tug of a grin at her mouth, but it never quite came. There was something missing...She heard a light splash from nearby, she withdrew slightly, she wasn't doing anything wrong, but chances were it was some human holiday maker, who would insist on chatting to her about the weather or something stupid like that. Or worse, a screaming kid who would come soak her and pull her hair. After staying silent for a minute, curiosity overcame her, and she stood up, what she saw was a woman laying down on the grass with her feed dangling in the water. But that wasn't what Gene noticed. She saw the wings, and for a moment, one sweet fleeting moment she thought it was she aunt, the one she hadn't seen in thirty years lying there."Margo?" The words escaped her mouth before she could stop them. Margo. That had been her nickname for her Aunt Margaret, the one who lived up here so long ago. Surely it couldn't be...It wasn't. As she approached she saw it wasn't Margo at all. Her aunt was much older, wore different clothes and didn't even have the same hair colour, Gene felt disappointed, although why she didn't know, her aunt was probably dead now. And she wasn't the type to believe in ghosts. She moved closer anyway, not sure if the angel on the ground had heard her say her aunts name, she decided to speak again, "it's not wise to show your wings like that, anyeli," she said, neutrally, the girl seemed harmless enough, but best not to say anything to friendly or nasty to a stranger.CREDIT

Pesly felt the impression she was being observed. That impression of exibitionism, the one that you know you're being looked at but you fake it's only you and yourself. Pesly knew someone was there. She could hear the voice once, but the words didn't get in her head. She was too relaxed to hear what the outer world had to say.

But soon enough, this peace was bothered. The person approached and spoke, in a neutral tune. A girl. Young. Normal voice. She was trying to warn Pesly, but Pepe was too calm for worries. She thought for some seconds, but not to wonder, not to think of an answer. Her mental jukebox was turned on in a song of the calmest band she had ever heard.

Pesly then turned her calm, almost flat face to the girl, still laid on the ground and with eyes closed, and...
We don't need to education..., she sang, and positioned her arms as if playing a guitar.
Tanana-neow-neow-neow... Tant, tanana-neow-neow, she said, imitating the sound of the guitar. We don't need no thought control, she sang again, shaking her head and squeezing her eyes slightly, playing her air-guitar with more enthusiasm.

No-dark-sarcaaaasm... In-the-classroooom, she continued, playing and rolling on the grass. Teachers, leave these kids alooone!. Leaving her air guitar and pointing the girl, while shaking her head, she ended up that part of the song. HEY! TEACHERS! LEAVE THESE KIDS ALOOOONE!

And continued for some more second with the guitar song, until she got calmer and opened her eyes. I'm a great guitar player, ain't I?, she said, with a shining smile, still laid there on the grass, like a happy child. She had just completely ignored what the girl said.

Gene waited for a response, she wondered what the girl was doing, lying out here in the open, didn't she know someone could see her wings and...she wasn't sure what would happen, but she knew it wouldn't be good. Of course, her aunt didn't believe in hiding her wings either, but at least she understood the importance that no one found out about her. She had-Her thoughts stopped suddenly as she noticed the girl was singing, "We don't need to education..." Gene raised her eyebrows as she started to imitate the guitar solo. Gene recognised it of course, how could you grow up in the 60s, 70s and 80s without picking up a guitar and trying to imitate your favourite idol up on stage? She vaguely recognised the song too, Pink Floyd, she'd heard it live before..."HEY! TEACHERS! LEAVE THESE KIDS ALOOOONE!" Gene blinked as the angel on th ground started yelling the line. Looking round nervously she trying to see if anyone was nearby, he had sharp hearing, but it was nothing special, not supernatural anyway, and the anyeli's loud singing would drown out any footsteps."Shut up!" She yelled, wondering if the girl was actually insane, or just a little weird, she didn't seem to get how important it was that no one saw her.The girl seemed to finish her little solo and asked, "I'm a great guitar player, ain't I?" Gene rolled her eyes, "You're wonderful," she said and moved closer to the girl. Kneeling down she said in a low voice to the girl, "Idiot! What are you doing? Don't you know there are humans round here? You can't trust them. What if I had been one, eh? I could have called the police, or I might have tried to kill you here with my own hands. You wouldn't make it to the portal without being surrounded. And your wings wouldn't have carried you beyond the gaze of the warden's guns." She knew was exaggerating, but only a little. She had already spent too long paying for the last time she had let a human find out about her, she wasn't going to do it again.CREDIT

Pesly watched without really paying attention to the girl's movements as she spoke. She spoke, she spoke, everyone speaks every once in a while. Speaking wasn't nearly enough to bother Pesly's calm. Nothing was. She was too calm to be bothered.

The only thing Pepe noticed in the girl's speech was that she wasn't very educated. But Pesly was, and she was a good example and a sympathic person. Without really caring if what the girl said had some kind of fundament or not, pesly smiled and extended her hand. Good morning. This is a beautiful day, isn't it?, she said, expecting for the girl to shake the extended hand. I'm Pesly. I'm no angel, girl. I'm just an Anyeli., she said in her relaxed tune. So relaxed that she'd say just the same thing if she was being threatened or in the middle of an explosion.

Because Pesly didn't care.

And Pesly didn't even care if she was talking to a human. She didn't really know if the girl was a human, but she had completely admitted she wasn't. She knew about Elysia and the danger of walking around as if everyone had wings. The girl was probably a vampire, the species that doesn't have anything different except for... The skin. No, she couldn't, the sun was bright and strong up there. Or maybe a dragon but... Her eyes were completely normal. So Pesly decided the girl was a shapesifter, "of course".

Gene was startled as the girl replied as if she hadn't a care in the world, "Good morning. This is a beautiful day, isn't it?" Gene decided she was just plain stupid. What kind of a response was that? She wondered where the girl was from, she couldn't think of a place where the people were so slow. Gene wondered if there was any point in trying to get into this girl's head, she was obviously in a world of her own, and didn't give a damn about other her own sake, why try and get through to her? But Gene knew that often she'd wished that some one could have told her the dangers all those years ago. If only...But now was no time for regrets, she needed to help this girl. "I'm Pesly. I'm no angel, girl. I'm just an Anyeli." Gene raised an eyebrow, she had never called the girl an angel outside her own thoughts, so it seemed pretty conceited of the girl to assume that's what everyone thought of her. She shook the girl's hand, deciding she didn't want an enemy so soon, but she made a mental note to keep an eye on the girl. She seemed insane, and Gene didn't know if she actually had problems, or she was just really weird. She wanted to ask, but it would be rude. "Gene Harris" She said, unsmiling, in response to Pesly stating her own name. "I take it you're here on a little break? I'm going to assume it wasn't you're original intention to make a complete exhibition of yourself?" She said in a slightly sarcastic tone. Her first impression of Pesly wasn't good.CREDIT

Hey Gennie, Pesly said, deciding she'd call the girl for that name. Leaning on her arms and sitting, Pesly closed her eyes and waited for the winds to caress her face for a second, and then opened the eyes just slightly to see the girl by her side. We all need breaks. And Elysia, though very big, is very restricted... It's not like the Earth, Pesly explained, looking at the water, so calm down there. The Earth is for all of us, independent of our power degree, she said, slowly turning her face back to the girl, her feathers and hair twirling in the air. And I played hide-n-seek a lot when I was a child. A human makes a lot of noise and is rather bubbly when thinks that saw something different. It wouldn't be so hard to hide, or to go away swimming, she said with a smile. A smile that was gorgeous in her internal "mirror", but many people would see as a very disgusting and stupid smile.

Gennie, Pesly called the girl that name again. How do you know about Elysia?. Pesly knew that the girl was talking about the mentioned place. It couldn't be another one. And she was decided - is that possible for someone as lazy as Pesly? - to make the girl have some mental rest too. Being all the time worried about things wasn't healthy at all.

Gene narrowed her eyes. Gennie? What was that? A dog? Sighing, she realised this girl was going to be difficult. Why didn't she realise? How long would it take her to realise the costs of exposing herself? She decided to let the girl finish her little speech, something about Elysia being to restricted. She was joking, right? Gene hoped so, obviously she hadn't spent much time on Earth, anyone who had lived among humans for as long as she did new it was anything but free. On Earth, you were confined in tiny cities, forced to go through school before picking a job. If you were lucky, you might live in the suburbs, or maybe even the countryside. But the rules applied to everyone. Money. Earth was much too focused on money. Sure, Elysia used money too, but it wasn't what everything was based on.She then decided to talk some total nonsense about hide 'n' seek, and bubbly faces. Gene almost felt like laughing, did that girl think she was a poet or something? Probably a beatiful princess in a fiarytale, speaking some magical words of wisdom. Gene had to stop herself from snorting."How do I know about Elysia? Why, I'm a dragon of course, how else? But let me tell you one thing, I have been through more than you can ever dream of, and do you want to know why? Because I let a human find out what I was. Okay? So you might come here acting like some kind of saint thinking you're above this world and nothing can harm you, but its time you snapped back to reality. This world is dangerous, much more so that you would think.""Just so you know, if something walks round here, and happens to discover your little secret. I'm not going to defend you. To everyone, I'm just a witness, a human like them. Because I'm not going to risk my own life because of some stupid anyeli."CREDIT
