It has come to my attention that many, many of you are trying to get around the 'level 1' start up with phrases such as "slightly above average", "could shift faster than most", "didn't have much trouble with"... :(

Let me tell you here and now, this is not appreciated here in Elysia for the following reasons:

Characters start at Level 1 so that none of you have any kind of unfair advantage. If you use a simnilar line to the above, then you are effectively saying that you are better than everyone else at your level. :P

This is not the case. You are all entirely equal, except for those of you are legitimately higher-levelled.

Please keep this in mind. I do not wish to have to leave notes in your posts, and neither do my Aides, but we will if we have to.

We realise that there is not enough information for you to really get into your new lives - but I have distinctly asked, both in Elysia and in person (ie chat) to some of you, that you not use any powers or special abilities until your species' level information is up in your Sanctuary.

Please remember this, thank you. :)

Flames burst in the surroundings as the demon begins his announcement. Kiril's red eyes flash. He says in an amused tone, "Godmodding in the scrapping board. Xanth must be fuming again."

"Some people might be really newbie at RPing, so I wrote an example for godmodding. Go me. Maybe NOW I'll get a day off.

Here's an example of Godmodding. Rabbit's the godmodder and Turtle's the...good-person-who-doesn't-break-rules. :)

Words in bold are the godmodding parts. Underlined words are examples of not-godmodding."

Rabbit launched an attack at Turtle. He was enraged that the creature had beaten him in the race. He held the green thing by its shell and kicked him from under.

Turtle yelped in pain. He hadn't expected the rabbit to be such a fast fighter. Lifting a foot, he slowly attempted to kick his opponent.

Oh no you don't! The rabbit grabs the offending leg and throws the turtle over.
((That's bad. The RPer of rabbit isn't letting the RPer of turtle decide whether or not turtle gets to dodge.))

Augh. He was feeling painful. The turtle summoned his energy and charged the rabbit. His plan was to trap one of the rabbit's legs with his teeth and hurl the rabbit over.

((Note the words "His plan was". The turtle didn't actually trap the legs and godmod...he planned to do so. Therefore, the RPer of the rabbit can decide whether or not the rabbit actually gets caught in that grip.))

Alieh approached, clearly terrified. I h-have a q-question. Are we allowed to Godmoddle our own characters?

For example *steals Kirils characters* Turtle and Rabbit are two characters belonging to me. Now say I wanted to have Rabbit go to the Dance with Turtle, but of course one had to ask the other first. Now the usual thing would be to do this :

Rabbit approached Turtle nervously, he wispered quitley W-would you like t-to go to the dance with me? His eyes were hopeful.

Turtle smiled happily and said I would love to!

((Noticed how I logged into both my rabbit and Turtle accounts to do this? Or could I do this:))

Rabbit approached Turtle nervously, he wispered quitley W-would you like t-to go to the dance with me? His eyes were hopeful. He gave a squel of joy when he heard Turtle's acceptance.

((See how I "godmaddled, but with my own characters?))

I am afraid even in that instance that godmodding is against the rules, because frankly, Aides and myself cannot always remember who belongs to who and to avoid unnecessary unpleasantness, I suggest just avoiding it all together.

Besides, each character is his / her own individual, and should be allowed to make up their own minds. ;)

Poofing is an ability only Aides and Deities have at the moment (Faroah too). I have noticed at least on of you 'appearing' out of no where. Teleportation is a skill you will acquire at a later level, but you need to use your limbs (wings, feet, etc) for now. Please remember this. ;)
