or at least it's supposed to be
Tried my hand at a freedesign pixel today, chose Daoine as my "victim". Now if you promiss you won't laugh at me, I'll show it to you.
*starts to laugh herself*
I tried, I really tried ... but her arms and legs look so weird

Decided to take a different approach: use a doll-base, read some tutorials and work an entire afternoon (and I mean literally from lunch which ended at 12h15 untill just now which is 17h05) on a Daoine-doll.
And I give you the result:
(Doll-base from Sparkling Ice!)
I am actually quite surprised at how she turned out. I spent most of my time on the hair as this is the first detail I decided on that I wanted to do it as good as possible. For my next attempt I'll give more attention to the clothing.

Does that mean it's your first doll? Because if it is, it's so much better than my first. Really, the hair shading is lovely, I really like it. It looks all bouncy and the shape is realistic. I think to improve you should add folds to the clothes, but other than that, it's really great. Well done

Yep, that was the first doll I ever did. I make a second one of Daoine aswell but posted it only on my DA-account ( gimmixx.deviantart.com ).
Here it is:
Basically the same hair, different clothing with more attention to the shading on the clothing to attempt to have it look more realistic. It's still not perfect but I'm getting there.
I'm currently doing a doll of Castalia but I'm stuck on shading her dress. So that might take a while.

I like it ^.^ I think that you should try another doll base too, to space them out so you can work with differant sizes ^^ The one with the folds is amazing, and when I viewed it in paint I saw tons of shading. At this rate, your already better than me
