Feeling her large paw sink into the earth before he, the weight upon it leaving wolf prints among the many shoe tracks already etched, Kaida lowered her maw to the ground, inhaling every scent as she walked. It was easy to attach each scent to his owner, although some she'd never met before, and remained mysterious. Following the lighted lanterns, her eyes scanning the area as she went, there were a few smells upon the air that jumped out at her. One being that of Piper, and the other, the dragon permanently fixated to her at the hip. Letting out a snort, she lifted her muzzle to the sky, inhaling deeply. Catching a few other familiar scents, including Xanth herself, Kaida lowered her emerald gaze, continuing forward in her walk.
Glancing down at the shoe prints, deliberately avoiding stepping in them with her large paws, Kaida paused in stride as she noticed a single track in the opposite direction. She recoginized it from further up the trail, but it came back, and veered off into the woods. Eyes glinting slightly, the moon splashing light on her silvery white pelt, Kaida glanced toward the lit clearing, then back into the forest. Lowering her head as a wolf would when stalking it's prey, she moved her large body off the path and into the thick foliage. Following the track further, the males scent filtered through her nose as she approached.
Lowering her body to the floor, intense eyes gazing through the shrubs around her, they took in every aspect of the male before her. It was quite interesting that he was out here alone. In the dark. In the middle of the forest. Smirking, as much as a wolf could smirk, Kaida pushed up from the ground, and made her way into the small clearing, allowing the male to see her beastly form. Eyes locked with his, her ears flat against her head, Kaida very much looked like a wolf stalking its prey. As she neared him however, she slowly began to shift her features, exposing her human flesh, and the "costume" it was sporting.
Running a hand through her hair as she stood before the man, Kaida looked down at him as she leaned forward, placing her hand upon the tree he was resting against. Crouching down, coming to his level, her elbows rested on her thighs for balance, she moved her hand between her legs to further balance herself by bracing against the earth. Rising a brow, she looked him up and down. "Comfortable?" If he said yes, he was a liar.
