Bruise-like shadows under her eyes, the work of nightmares, Isabella had stepped out of the house; with some difficulty shoving Ryn back in. The once small cub, or rather, near-adult, was getting bigger and stronger, and Isabella with her (if not bigger, for she’d thinned down due to being rather miserable). The walk to the hospital wasn’t really a walk, and she appreciated that, for she wanted and needed to see Suka. Suka. Her big brother, and the person she considered closest to her in Elysia. Jade was gone, and Suka would understand why Bella was feeling slightly down.
Isabella took baby steps from the portal toward the hospital, huddled up in her knee-length jacket to keep warm. She shied away from the cold naturally, somehow due to her personality. Or at least, she thought so. The events of the past few weeks flashed through her head, and she sighed. Bella loved her new family. She’d taken to Zendera and Suka like a fish to water, and decided that she was going to take it one step further. She wanted to know who her Mother was. If only Jade could see how happy she was now… if only she were here with the angel.
Her pace hurrying, enthusiastic to get into the warmth, Bella stepped inside, as a young man held the door open for her. She gave him a small smile of thanks, and unzipped her jacket before hurrying in direction of Suka’s ward. The nurses glanced at her with expectant looks that said ‘can I help you?’, but she simply ignored them and quickened her pace even more. The feathers on her wings ruffled as she now jogged into the ward, blinking with surprise at the door of its hinges, but slowed to agile, quick steps and began to look for Suka. The first sign she caught of him was a pair of black-feathered wings not unlike her own, but bigger. She walked past him and back-tracked to see his familiar form and face, and smiled at him, the most genuine she’d given for a long time. "Suka!" she said, her voice slightly musical-like in the happiness of seeing him. "I thought I’d find you here. I came to see you." She held up her left fist, and smiled once again, but only faintly. "Look, I got a tattoo. It’s the Chinese symbol for fire. Do you like it?"
