Validating Accounts

I think it's important to clear up a bit of apparent confusion regarding the validation of character accounts because we've had a spot of bother with them recently. ^^

Accounts are user-validated.

That means that, as soon as you register, you should receive an email from elysiafields@gmail.com asking you to validate your acount and providing a link for you to do so.

However, it's come to our attention that many new members just aren't receiving that validation email, so here's what to do if that's the case for you:
  • Make sure you input the correct email address when registering, and that you have access to that email account.
  • Check your spam/junk/bulk email folder for an email from elysiafields@gmail.com.
  • Click on the "resend validation email" link in the userbar (near "My Controls" and "new messages").
  • Ask an admin to validate your account for you by putting a note in the OOC section of your character profile when you post in the Newcomer Club.

For those older members: Yes, we did used to require admin-validation for all accounts because we had problems with spam- and pornbots. However, we implemented a question upon registration that proves you're human so we no longer need admin validation. ^^
