Lia had done a lot for him. She'd helped him in battle, even though he'd specifically asked her not to. She'd taken him to her home, and nursed him back to health. Well... somewhat in that sense. She'd given him a safe place to sleep and rest, as well as all the time he needed to recover and make the transition back to his human form.

Kade had yet to take on his beast form since. It was a scary thought that he could possibly get stuck in it. One that had a serious impact on him. Although being a beat dragon was, everything any Dragon could ever hope for, he'd give it all up if it meant that he could never see Dazadi again. Never be with her again. She wasn't Dragon. She couldn't possibly understand. But their bond brought them closer than anything he'd ever experienced before. As close as he was to Siphae, he was closer to Dazadi.

It was all just... it was scary. He'd flat out admit it. Only to himself of course. But he knew he couldn't hide from it. He wanted to train himself better. Not only in his beast form, but in the other abilities he'd gained. He hardly used his mental abilities, and it was about time he learned. Had he thought of them when the rogue male was attacking, the fight would have stopped long before it started.

And Lia... he chose to train with her, because she disobeyed his request. In the end, he was glad she had, but the fact that she did, only meant that there was little trust. Trust that needed to be accumulated, and respect that needed to form. Lia needed to learn to listen to him. He was her summoner, and that simply must be acknowledged.

"Lia, I'd like to train with you. Please come to me." He requested softly. Looking around the colliseum, he smiled at its deserted state. The sun had only risen an hour or so before, so the day was theirs to take. Kade knew he'd not be leaving with a major accomplishment in a single day, but it was the begining of intense training that he was going to have with his dragons.

(Ooc: Lia, Water Wyrm, played by Dora)

"Lia, I'd like to train with you. Please come to me."

Opening one eye slowly, her body remaining still as sleep still controlled most of her form, Lia slowly tilted her head to the side, her mind searching out Kades whereabouts. Opening her massive jaws, sucking in a deep yawn, Lia softly expelled it, letting out a soft watery mist as she did so. Her large blue form glistened in the few rays of the sun, the water from the fall just outside her cave leaving her moist and relaxed. Stretching out her wings, she slowly pushed herself up into a sitting position. The morning was still crisp in the air, the chill seeping deep past her scales. Clicking her teeth slightly, Lia's deep blue eyes lowered to her left over dinner, its flesh mangled and torn. Sneering in disgust, she reached forward, flinging it out of her cave and off the cliff. No doubt to hungry creatures that waited below.

Opening her jaws yet again, Lia inhaled deeply, letting loose a tired roar as her yawn escaped. When Kade normally called, she'd take to his side as asked, just as she'd vowed to do upon bonding to him. Seeing as it was still early morning, and he was pulling her from her slumber, she'd take her time in waking before porting to his side.

Turning in her spot, Lia ambled awkwardly toward the flowing river in her cave, lowering he mouth into the cool water. Sucking it in gulps at a time, the icy liquid slid down her warm throat, its effect waking her more quickly. Lifting her head to gaze out the mouth of her cave, water still dripping off her chin, Lia took the few steps to the opening, gazing out at the world around her. Lowering her eyes to the canopy of trees below, she stepped out onto the ledge, shifting her weight in preparation for take off. With a single lunge, her back claws gripping a the rock on the edge enough to cause some to crumble, she opened her massive wings, taking to the sky with ease. Allowing the cool air to wash over her body, Lia simply thought of Kade, her body porting in a burst of mist, taking her directly over head her summoner.

Casting her eyes down on Kade's form, Lia swooped down, her wings extending to slow her flight. Landing with a rather hard thud, her claws digging into the earth, she folded her wings, lowering her upper body to the ground. Eying Kade for only a moment, she spoke. "It's early for sudden training summons." She said flatly. She respected Kade as she should her summoner and a black dragon. But she was still who she was. And nice didn't always play into her attitude.

The wait wasn't something Kade didn't expect. Lia wasn't like Siphae, and she was her own being. He'd never think of any of his dragons to be there for him and him alone. Even now, he'd had no contact with Siphae. He couldn't even begin to guess as to why. If she was upset with him because he'd refused to allow her to assist him, then she'd been upset for quite a long time. Which wasn't like Siphae at all. Besides, her being upset in the past never had stopped her from voicing her opinion to him. It just was odd that she hadn't come around. Of course, he'd not really reached out to her. He'd no reason to as of yet. But she normally checked in with him.

Perhaps that was why he'd begun to show more interest in Lia. If he couldn't depend on Siphae, then he needed to know he could depend on Lia. Luna would always come to his side, but she was hardly a creature he would go to battle with. He loved the little imp for all she was, but when it came down to brutish fighting, he needed to know he'd have a friend with massive side to help him. Normally, this is where Siphae would step in, but Lia would have to do. Not only could he possibly need her in the future, their bond was weak, and that in itself was something Kade wanted and needed to work on.

Looking up, uncrossing his arms, Kade watched at Lia came into view, swooping down and landing with a ground shaking thud. Giving her a warm smile, despite her grumpy words, Kade walked forward, extending a hand to smooth across her nose and forehead. Its what he'd always done with Siphae, greeting her with love and kindness. Of course, Lia wasn't Siphae... but he just wasn't used to treating his bonded friends any other way. "I'm sorry if I woke you. But the morning is the best time to train. We can go hunting afterward." He said with a smile.

It wasn't much of an offering, but after they trained, he hoped they could bond more on a personal level.

(Ooc: Lia, Water Wyrm, played by Dora)

There were few things that Lia disliked. Well, few things that she disliked to the point of acting upon them. And touching was one of them. From time to time, if she had an itch, she might find a nice rock to rub up against, or a plant to sooth the irritation, but never would she allow another to freely touch her. It was a small quirk, one that she just couldn't get over. She'd see others like herself, or Siphae even, riding with their summoner on their back. The thought made her sneer in disgust. To be ridden like some pet. If she'd carry someone, it would be in her claws, and that was it. Perhaps it was why she would only bond to a black dragon. Why she'd worked herself day in and day out to be good enough to only be summoned by an Elite. Kade had his own pair of wings, he didn't need hers.

As Kade moved to stroke her nose, Lia jerked her head back, looking down at him through narrowed steely eyes. It wasn't his fault he was so used to that closeness between himself and Siphae. But he needed to understand, she was not Siphae. Stepping back slightly, her eyes locked upon his, challenging and warning him at the same time, Lia lifted herself onto her hind legs, allowing a new distance to form between them. Listening to his words, translating them into dragonic to better understand, Lia gave a single nod of her head. When it came down to it, if Kade wanted to train, then train they would. She wasn't sure the type of training he had in mind, although she assumed blood would be involved eventually. It almost always was when she was involved.

"Whatever you would like me to do, just ask."

Pulling back his hand as Lia jerked away from her, Kade let out a soft breath. It was hard to treat his companions differently, wanting the same thing with each one as he had with the others. Luna was different that Lia and Siphae. She was smaller, in more need of soft comforting attention. Where as Siphae he could give a bear hug, and she'd welcome it with open arms. Lia, obviously wasn't interested in intimacy. It was hard to think that he couldn't show her the love he had for her without getting an arm bitten off. Especially if there were meant to bond, and become close.

Sighing softly, ignoring her attempt to tower over him, Kade nodded at her words. Today, they'd need to put whatever qualms they had with one another, what ever comfortableness they shared aside, and work togther to become one in battle. Fighting against one another would show each other their weaknesses, and allow them to make up for it. "We need to fight, and learn from each other. If you find a weak spot in my battle, attack it. But let me know what you see after you do so. I will do the same. We need to use our abilities, both mental and physical. Whatever element you can use to take me down, use it. I will do the same to you. When either has had enough, and physically or mentally cannot go on, our training will end for the day."

Turning his back on Lia, Kade walked to the side of the arena, removing his weapons. In the future, they would train with them. But until then, this was about what they themselves could do with nothing but flesh and brains. Tossing his weapons to the ground, he pulled off his coat, throwing it over his weapons. moving back to the middle of the arena, Kade took his stance. First, he would hold off his transformation until he needed it. Then and only then would he take on his form. Another need to train, to control the pain and awkwardness.

Standing in a defensive position, Kade eyed Lia with his black eyes. "Attack me."

(Ooc: Lia, Water Wyrm, played by Dora)

It was hard to understand Kade right away. The words he spoke, and the speed he spoke them in caused her to need to translate them into dragonic. She understood for the most part, a few words not making much sense to her, but Lia got the jist of things. What Kade asked of her was reasonable. Apart from the whole... touching thing. She could fight him, and do so easily without wondering if she'd hurt him. He knew what he was asking, just as he knew that she could cause him serious damage.

Watching him remove his weapons, Lia felt indifferent to the matter. His weapons might hurt her in the slightest, but her hide was thick, and unless he intended to kill, she doubted they would hurt her much. It made sense as well if he planned on transforming into a beast dragon. As he came back though, and prepared himself, she was surprised to see he'd chosen to stay in human form. There wasn't much his puny body could do to her massive one, but if it was how he wanted things to play out, then thats how they would.

Not bothering with acknowledgment, Lia fell forward onto her front claws, letting loose an earth shaking roar. Sucking in a deep breath, she spit out a stream of water that soon began to freeze into ice. As it traveled along the ground at top speeds, its frozen shards spiked out, ready to envelop Kade in a cocoon of ice.

Falaris loved Kuma, he loved it. He had never had a good family, his parents had only been semi-nice to him once or twice and even then genreally for their own reasons. He knew a lot of people in Kuma mistrusted him, for being a man, for being a red dragon, and for in part being a womanizer he knew they disliked him. Still though they were his family, and they did their best to train him in fighting in defending and in endurance. If he needed to train he had all he needed in Valhalla and he knew that.

Still however he found himself in the Colliseum, he had gotten up well before the sun had risen that morning, grabbed his weapons, and headed to the place where you fought in Elysia. He wanted to practice, not on his tribe mates hwo could defeat him handidly or who were tricky. He wanted a fair fight in the Colliseum and was planning to get it.

He smiles as he felt the sword bounce against his waist and the axe against his back, he really should make a better sheath, but the rare occasions when the axe cut into his flesh didnt really bother him. He knew this was probably a big mistake, coming back here. Xanth didnt favor him, the other goddess wanted to kill him...he knew this, but he couldnt resist coming to Elysia proper. If Kaida found this out he knew she was going to kill him, but that would come when it did. As he entered the Colliseum he heard a man talking, which frankly suprised him...he hadnt expected to see anyone up this early. He walked around the corner just in time to see Lia attack Kade.

Falaris's eyes widened in amazement, screw training this was gonna be awesome to watch! A full grown beast dragon and probably a dragon summoner fighting...this was going to be him very soon he resolved. Walking backwards he leaned up against a pillar well within sight range of the fight, he didnt care if they saw him. However for now he would let them fight, he just wouldnt hide it.

Pipers AMAZING boutique!
Upon this, one has to remark that men ought either to be well treated or crushed, because they can avenge themselves of lighter injuries, of more serious ones they cannot; therefore the injury that is to be done to a man ought to be of such a kind that one does not stand in fear of revenge.

He'd hoped she would have attacked him physically without jumping straight into elemental attacks, but he'd asked her to do her worst. This wasn't about endurance, they would have fights for that. This was about winning. He wanted to fight, and to see what would happen should he slack in the slightest. No other dragon would pause for a moment if their intent was to kill him, and he wanted to make sure Lia would do the same here. Of course, they would stop before someone died or was seriously injured, but until then, he wanted her to do her best to win, defeat him. Just as he would try to do with her.

Clenching his jaw as the stream if water spit from Lia's mouth, Kade kicked into his dragonic speed, lunging to the side, he hesitated momentarily before his body began quickly changing shape. The only few times he'd changed shape, Dazadi had been around. He'd hurt her then, and didn't want to do it again. "Daz, prepare yourself..."

Feeling spines rip though his back with a force that would cause any other to scream in mid shattering pain, Kade fought though it, forcing his form to change shape. Claws bursting through his fingertips, his teeth elongating into large spikes, Kades spine extended, a long tail emerging from his back. Skin thickening into rock hard scales, their armor as tough as diamonds, Kade waited only a few seconds to spit out a stream of fire, melting the water that chased his form. Within an instant, the entire arena exploded into fog, mist causing sight to be completely blocked.

Fully formed, Kade lowered his body low to the ground, using the fog steam as an advantage. Although his body was less fierce than Lia's, smaller in size as well, he could do so much damage to her, she had no idea. Moving as silent as a dragon his size could, Kade made his way around to Lia's side, rearing up, his wings flapping the mist away enough to expose where her body should be. Blindly, he lunged for her side, letting loose a stream of fire, followed by fangs aiming to sink into her neck.

Dazadi had been up all night hunting, and half the morning too, but it seemed like all the beasties saw her coming because she'd not found a single one to beat up. The mountain patrols were avoiding her too, she'd swear they were. Cowards. The lot of them.

She couldn't remember the last time she'd literally itched for a good fight. Actually, since Wolf's birth, she's almost felt like she was in some kind of limbo. Before his birth, actually... Maybe since Kade's resurrection. No, she didn't know. She couldn't really understand what was happening to her. She'd been happy... They'd fought, sure, but they'd made up. And they had a wonderful son. And then Kade got himself near killed all over again and Dazadi had felt...

Lost. So lost. Terrified he'd leave her, and then he had. Not because he was dead, but because he was too hurt to come back to her. And she couldn't go to him.

She missed her husband, and even when he came home she barely saw him. She'd jumped his bones and fallen asleep and then right after that he'd started training nearly non-stop. Daz understood why, she really did. She was glad he was taking it seriously. But she was needy, she needed him, and she felt like he had better things to do than be with her. It was... it was stupid. Really. But she just wanted him to...

Huffing out a breath, Dazadi kicked a pebble. She didn't even know what she wanted. One some level she recognised she was being unreasonable but that didn't stop her from sinking into this weird, desperate... neediness. She felt like she should be hunting, pummeling something, but she knew that wasn't what she wanted. She didn't know what she really wanted. Spending time with Kade, sure. Sparring maybe. Talking, even. She didn't care, she just missed him.

"Daz, prepare yourself..."

Prepare myself for wha-?

Spears erupted from her back, bursting through flesh and bone. That was the only way Daz could even begin to describe the pain that exploded through her. She recognised it all too well, sneering at her beast of a husband as if he were standing right in front of her. The pain didn't cripple her this time, and the irony was that if he'd not tried to warn her she probably wouldn't have felt it at all, but they were connected now and it made Daz stamp her foot childishly.

"If you're going to warn me, you could actually give me a censored clue!"

She never swore, at least, not so badly. And okay so she yelled at her husband when they were fighting but she couldn't recall ever screeching at him like a fishwife before. She felt so angry with him suddenly that she wanted to beat him until he was covered in sexy bruises but it made no sense at all. She loved him. He was her lifemate. She shouldn't be imagining the sound of her fists connecting with his jaw quite as clearly as she was.

Confused and fuming, Daz narrowed her eyes and sensed out her husband. The Coliseum, training, probably with one of those beasts of his. His new best friends and training partners, who saw him more than she did, damn them.

Teleporting to the Coliseum, she landed near a pillar on the edge of the arena, surrounded by fog and the muffled sounds of battle. Even knowing it was probably her lifemate and one of his beastly friends, Dazadi's hand drifted to the hilt of her dagger and she dropped into a battlestance before freezing, only her gaze moving as she searched the fog for a shadow or shape.

(Ooc: Lia, Water Wyrm, played by Dora)

Her attack was thwarted, though it was weak to begin. Getting into a fight when you were protecting something, or had more of an incentive to win, of course you'd start with the most powerful advance you could. Here, Lia could take her time, and build up to what she considered her most fierce attack. Not simple because this was nothing more than a training session, but because she knew humans were weaker than she. Especially with Kade unused to the transformations he could take. Starting slow not only kept her energy up, she'd have the endurance to last longer. She'd be able to take attack after attack, and deal out more damage than he. She knew this as a fact. By the time her worst hit him, he'd be fatigued and too worn down to continue. It was simply the way of things. Kade had to realize this sooner or later.

As his fire erupted before her, her water pummeling directly into the blast, a dense steam began filling the arena, her eyes widening as she tried to see through the thick fog. Though it was still her element, being unable to see was something that effected a dragon greatly. Hearing was mild in comparison to their vision, and being blinded was something she wasn't prepared for. By averting her attack, Kade had also shrouded his body in mist, covering his now thick hide from her jagged teeth and elemental attack.

Though she wasn't the greatest with hearing, she'd been a dragon longer than Kade, and knew what was happening as it happened. Letting out a rather loud hiss as a gust of wind erupted in her face, Lia lunged to the side, her own wings thrusting as she reared her body up and away from Kade. Continuing the motion, her tail whipped out beside her, its aim directly for Dazadi's stomach. Though Lia didn't know the Aide had appeared, she'd pay no mind to the female, here to do what was asked of her. Kade was being sneaky, and she would respond with the same kindness.

" Holy censored a Black censored Dragon! What the censored I didn't think there were any censored black dragons left alive! Holy censored! "

Falaris jerked back as he watched the man before him start to change shape rapidly, spines errupted from his back and claws began to form on his growing body as his beast's attafck bared down on him. It had been amazing enough just summoner and summone, but to see a Black Dragon. His father hadn't even remembered a black dragon well, not that he had been the most nostalgic person still the fact remained that this was a once in a life time oppurtunity for a red dragon such as himself to see the truly mighty.

Falaris wasn't normally one to care about the Draonic culture in large part, Xanth had cut him off from it before he had even been born. However Falaris was one to care about power and a black dragon was a truly fearsome warrior which he wanted to be eventually. As he jerked back he banged his shoulder against the pillar and fell to the dirt, censored. He probably shouldnt have spoken out loud but he doubted anyone could hear him, hell he knew with all the steam they couldnt see him.

Just then an angel appeared on a pillar nearer to the arena, she had wings a lot like Bella's but bigger and she herself looked far more censored and powerful. censored, was that woman an idiot could she not see what was going on below? Normally he wouldnt say anything but he saw a very large tail heading her way and he had no particular desire to watch her get killed, as womanizing as he was and as violent as he was he didnt HAVE to see needless chaos all the time, plus she was in the way. Running forward he made sure to stay out of the arena but get close enough to yell at her using all his draconic speed.

" HEY SKOTADI! WATCH THE HELL OUT FOR THE TAIL! "

censored why was he getting so close to this, was he really that stupid?

Dazadi wasn't Xanth's Sword for nothing. She was a skilled assassin, a damned good fighter and a Skotadi to boot - which meant she was used to doing battle when she couldn't see her hand in front of her face. She used shadows in her tactics all the time and fog wasn't all that different. She was also quick on her feet both physically and mentally so she should have seen it coming.

Actually she did and was revving up to roll under the swinging tail when movement and shouting to her left distracted her just enough to put off her timing. To compensate, instead of rolling under the tail to come up on her feet on the other side, she planted her face in the sand and flattened her wings so the tail would go right over her.

Her temper kicked up a notch as she slowly got back to her feet, slapping at the front of her leggings and vest as she spit residual sand out of her mouth.

Logically, she knew she shouldn't be angry with someone for trying to warn her. She may be good enough to dodge the attack without help but that didn't mean others were - his warning could have saved someone a few broken ribs, at the very least. That didn't stop her scowling, or her fists from clenching so hard at her thighs that her fingernails - short because long nails were asking for trouble on a battlefield - dug into her palms hard enough to leave semi-circular indentations.

"Kade!" Spinning on her heel, Daz peered into the fog with narrowed eyes as wisps of shadow began to form around her unbidden. "Get your ass over here so I can beat on it, damn you!"

(Ooc: Lia, Water Wyrm, played by Dora)

Though she'd easily thwarted Kade's attack, the end to their training was no where in sight. She knew his abilities far outweighed hers, but her strength and elemental protection would put up a decent fight. As her body rested in the arena dirt, her eyes peeling out for Kade as the mist began to subside slightly, wafts of it curling around her body, and that of other moving objects. The voices of the others in the arena has made themselves known when Lia's tail was bearing down on Dazadi, which allowed the dragon to know where exactly she was from the others. Having directed her gaze at the male voice, she caught glimpse of his form near the pillars, and then that of Dazadi laying face flat in the dirt.

It would be easy to ignore the two, focus solely on Kade, but he'd asked her to do what she needed to do, no matter what it came down to in order to win. unfortunately for him, Dazadi was a weakness. One that might have him surrender in order to save her, or fight back even harder in order to win. Either way, the training would do it job, teaching them of what they needed practice in, and having the outcome of a winner.

Narrowing her eyes, her ears trained on anything other than the Aide, Lia let out a massive roar, the ground around her shaking from the volume and depth. Opening her mouth wide, she spit forth as much water as she could, watching as it solidified and aimed to entomb the Anyeli. Following her stream, Lia crossed the distance between them, reaching to clamp her teeth down upon the Aide should she somehow dodge her elemental attack.

Dazadi froze in the path of the ice. It would have been the polite thing to stop the fight as soon as they'd realised someone else was in the arena with them but Daz wasn't surprised they continued. She was a little surprised that the target suddenly shifted to her, especially with no warning. She wasn't fazed by the sudden attack, although the ferocity in Lia's form was enough to give even Daz a little trepidation.

There was no point trying to dodge the stream of ice and even she wasn't fast enough to outrun or outfly a dragon, especially not one clearly so intent on damaging her badly. She couldn't go up either because the beast was big enough and fast enough to clobber her whichever direction she took.

Face setting with absolute determination, the faint quirk of a smile touching her lips for a brief instant, Daz braced herself with her feet planted shoulder-width apart. One hand went to the hilt of her dagger, the other to the hilt of her father's great sword. As Lia flew at her, Daz vanished in the blink of an eye.

She reappeared in the air above the wyrm, her wings already spread and flapping furiously to keep her in the air, the wicked blade of her sword glinting as it swung down in a great arc towards the back of Lia's neck.

He'd missed. Though he'd been silent, or so he thought, he still missed in his attack. It was surprising though, as Lia was more skilled at the maneuvers of a dragon, having lived in her form all her life, yet at the same time, he'd be lying if he said he wasn't disappointed. But it didn't matter really. All this meant, was that he'd have to train harder, and that Lia was very very well defended. The one thing he'd realized, the actual only flaw he had yet to see of his Dragonic companion, was the fact that she'd alerted him to her awareness of his attack. Because of that, he was able to halt midway, and divert his energy into preparing himself for another. Had she remained silent, he'd have released yet another attack, that could not only show his location in the dense steam, but also tire his body, and cause him to loose the fight entirely.

Before he could even respond to much else, or prepare for another attack, the loud bear tone shot across the arena, the words of the voice causing Kade's eyes to widen. Whipping his head in the direction of the mans voice, Kade tried as hard as he could to peer through the fog, but with no end. If someone had entered their arena, Kade would have to put the fight on hold. He wasn't about to allow anyone to become injured because of his actions, and he knew that Lia wasn't above injuring others. She was one of the most fierce dragons in Nirim, known for her brutality. It was the main reason she'd been brought him. Kade already had his dragon of reason, Siphae. And he also had his dragon of... friendship, one might call her. Which was Luna. And Lia... she was a fighter. Pure and simple. And Kade had no reason to want her to be any other way. But what he did want, was to perfect their skills as a team, rather than bump into one another on the battlefield. And if they couldn't learn to work togther, then they would never be able to fight side by side in battles and come out victorious.

Because of her unique fighting skills however, Kade had no doubt that Lia would continue to fight, even with innocent civilians in their presence. He could understand fighting and over looking the on seers, but from what he'd heard from the man, a tail was aimed at a Skotadi, and his was stationary. Not a moment later, Dazadi's angry voice filled the arena. Widening his eyes, Kade lifted his head, as if it could help him see through the thick steam before him.

As it began to settle, Kade started to reach out to Dazadi with his thoughts. He didn't want her here, she could get hurt. If she wanted to watch from afar, that was fine, but she was too close now. "Daz... please ge-..." The sudden roar caught Kade off guard, his eyes widening as the slight trembling of the ground. Sucking in a breath, he moved forward blindly, thoughts of his own safety long gone. Just as the ice was being spit at Daz, Kade stepped through the blanket of steam, able to see the horror before her. Roaring loudly, his outweighing Lia's greatly, Kade shot forward in an attempt to block the ice. Though Lia was quick, Daz was quicker. Within a split second, Dazadi was gone. Unable to stop his body, Kade crashed into the hardening ice, shattering it with a single blow. Chunks of hard ice flew in every direction, some aiming in the air, some flinging off to the side. Crumpling to the ground from the impact, Kade skidded forward slightly, his chin scraping along the arena floor.

Lifting his head a large gash across his chest from the ice, Kade pushed himself upward, his healing taking effect without him even realizing it. Looking toward Dazadi, thankful for her safety, Kade's eyes widened slightly as she lunged for Lia. Standing up quickly, he moved forward briefly before reaching out to both with his mind. As if by instinct, Kade tried to stop both from reacting. He tried to stop Dazadi mid lunge, his mind focused on preventing Lia's injury, while at the same time, he tried to prevent Lia from attacking back should she be able to retaliate from Dazadi's sudden escape. Within his mind, all he could blurt out was a single word. "STOP!"

Before they were married and had a son, before Kade was resurrected, before he'd died in the first place, he'd trusted her at his side or at his back. They'd shared a camaraderie that she honestly thought only warriors-in-arms could share, a life-or-death trust that saw them through battles that would otherwise have killed them. Just as Dazadi had trusted Kade with her life, he'd trusted her with his.

He didn't anymore, and that was becoming painfully obvious. Every time he stepped between her and danger, he was telling her that he didn't think she could handle herself, that she wasn't the warrior he fell in love with. He'd rather risk his own repeated death than trust in her abilities, abilities she'd proven time and again during their partnership, back when she wasn't even in the running for Archangel, let alone Aide. Logically, she could understand that he was afraid to lose her. Having been through that herself, she wouldn't wish it on anyone and she was smart enough to understand she could be reckless. They had a son to worry about now, and even though he was technically an adult he was still so dependent on them in many ways that if either one of them died - probably killing the other in the process - he'd be lost and alone. But something had been building in Dazadi for months now, something that had sporadically escaped in bursts of craziness and recklessness, and that had ultimately sent her here to kick her husband's ass clear across the realm. It wasn't until he did it again, put himself in danger because he didn't trust her to get out of the way by herself, that she really understood what that was.

It was loneliness because he'd abandoned her in favour of his training.
It was anger that he'd continually endangered his own life, battering at her with the threat that she'd lose him all over again.
It was frustration that he no longer trusted in her or her abilities, that he didn't think she could make good judgements in battle where she was at her best.
It was grief that the only man she'd ever loved would rather put an entire dimension between them than let her be there for him, as botched as she'd make it.

She'd come here to whup his ass, censored and hurting for all kinds of reasons, but when his first reaction was to dart in and save her even knowing she was perfectly capable of saving herself, Dazadi completely lost it. His mind clashed with hers as he reached out to freeze her actions, fuelling her anger even more, and she twisted her swinging sword into an arc that bypassed Lia as she spun to face her lifemate. She had every intention of impaling him on her father's sword, knowng full well he'd heal from it and be no worse for wear, knowing he more than likely wouldn't change his attitude either but still needing to vent her frustations on him and show him what he was doing to her.

And then he barrelled into the ice, sending shards bursting out in every direction, and Dazadi froze in midair, her eyes wide as her sword arm fell to hang limply at her side. Kade lay in the dirt staring up at her, his dragon face inscrutable. Daz couldn't look away as her wings stopped pumping, dropping her to the sand with a jarring thud as blood spilled from the gaping wound in her shoulder where an ice shard had torn right through.

"Damn you, you censored." It was the first time she'd ever sworn at her husband, her voice venomous as she stared across the sand at him. Her vision blurred but she was so unused to crying that she didn't recognise why at first, and only got madder when she realised what the wetness on her cheeks was. Without looking away from him, she reached up and yanked the ice from her shoulder, letting a new flood of red stain her shirt as she tossed the offending element clear across the arena. She could already feel the wound beginning to heal and narrowed her gaze on her lifemate, daring him to interfere.

He had no idea what this drama was that was going on but whatever the censored it was it reeked of annoyance. His warning apparently reached the woman as he caught her head turning slightly towards him, but rather than help her it seemed to throw her off a plan she had ready to act on. She fell to the dirt barely dodging underneath the tail. Then the black dragon approached out of the mist just as the censored beast dragon shot a blast of ice at the Skotadi.

What the censored was going on here, seriously, who was the Skotadi and who was the black dragon. Was the Angel so stupid as to get in the middle of a fight between dragons and why the censored was the beast dragon focusing on the angel rather than the much more dangerous Black Dragon hunting for it. It made no censored sense but there seemed to be a reason for it as the Angel dissapeared in an instant and appeared above the beast dragon swinging a big ass sword. The Black dragon tried to skid to a halt and ended up crashing through the wall of ice sending shards of ice flying around the arena, Falaris looked down and his steps earlier had put him firmly inside the....

" HOLY censored DODGE! "

...The arena. His eyes widened as chunks of ice came flying at him he dove onto the ground and rolled underneath the flying chunks of ice. Several of them barely missed him and he finally managed to avoid them all, he quickly stood up and dusted himself off...just in time to see the rather large leg of the beast dragon a few feet in front of him and another chunk of ice flying from the angel right down at him.

" censored! "

He dove to the right but all he managed to do was avoid most of the ice. The shard scraped against the side of his left leg as he dove opening up a gash on the leg and the dive brought him even closer to somewhere he really didnt want to be.

Holy censored what the hell did I get myself into

Falaris stood and turned hoping he would be able to get out of the way of this fight before he became part of it.

(Ooc: Lia, Water Wyrm, played by Dora)

Lia hissed violently as her attack was once again thwarted. She'd seen the Anyeli disappear from sight, moment's before the ice were to form around her small body. Before she could counter act in anyway, not knowing Dazadi was above her head, ready to slice it off, Kade's collision with the ice sent shards flying into her body, several wedging their way into her skin, causing her to reel backwards. She'd actually never had her own attack thrown back at her. She'd felt ice in her body before, as she wasn't the only Wyrm around that could produce such an element, but to have her own wounding her, it was like a slap in the face.

By the time she even noticed Dazadi was above her, ready to slit her neck, Lia could feel Kade's mental hold on her, causing her to stiffen, unable to move. Frozen in place, she merely watched as Dazadi's sword came barreling down. The brief thought about how Kade could allow her to be killed when this was only to be a training session crossed her mind, but as the Anyeli's attack took on another direction, her eyes widened, anger spreading throughout her body.

This training had now become a full out assault, one that would have to be squashed by any means necessary. With Kade still holding Lia in her grasp however, there was nothing she could do but fight it with all her might, trying to take down the woman before she took down Kade. Her struggling was merely mental however, as Kade's hold on her body remained fixed.

Watching as Dazadi tore right though his mental hold, Kade's eyes never once left hers, not prepared to defend himself against her rage. He's been wounded by the ice, but more than anything, he didn't want to hurt her. In the past, he'd fought her as an ally, a friend, even a lover. They battles until each had scars to prove their lust. But after she'd become his life mate, after she'd bore Amadeus... he couldn't stand to see her hurt. It wasn't like him. He knew she could handle herself. She wasn't with child, and was even more skilled than he in the battle field... but he couldn't help but worry. He couldn't help but look at her, and want to protect her with every bone in his body. He'd rather die a thousand deaths, than see her in pain.

As she fell to the ground, wounded by his attempt to save her, Kade's head hung slightly, his eyes brimming with emotions. Feeling Lia struggle against his hold, so much so that it was hard to not hear her thoughts, Kade tightened it, looking toward his bonded dragon. "Lia, thats enough. We're done today."

Turning his eyes toward Dazadi, his heart broke at the sight of her. Closing his eyes, he voiced her name with sorrow and guilt. "Enye..." It was all he could say. She'd have to feel it... there was nothing he could do about that. Clenching his jaw, Kade's form began to shrink. The process from dragon to human was much easier, less painful. But it could be felt. Squeezing his eyes tightly shut as his body took his human form, the moment he was full, Kade lifted his body from the ground, a gash clearly visible across his chest.

Moving toward Dazadi, ignoring the look of death in her eyes, Kade sunk to his knees before her. Reaching for her hand, he grasped it tightly, his eyes locked with hers. They both knew he was going to do it. It could be the end of their marriage, but he couldn't sit there and not. Without so much as a glance to her shoulder, the wound disappeared, sealing easily. Mere moments later, blood began to spill through his shirt where her wound now rested on his shoulder. "Dazadi... how can I let you sit there in pain, when I could easily take it from you?" Moving forward only slightly, his knee brushing up against hers, he reached out, his palm flat against her soft cheek. "How can you be upset, that I'd have it no other way?" His voice was a mere whisper, his attention soley on Dazadi. He could feel Lia's presence no longer with them as she had ported back to Nirim to nurse her wounds, but for now, nothing but his life mate mattered.

By that point, Lia could have gobbled her up and spat out her bones and Daz would have let it happen without a protest. As it was, she consciously tuned out everything beyond her husband, deliberately cutting herself off from a level of defense she'd had since the early days of her training. She was blind to everything except Kade. Her eyes were wide open and stayed that way even though her lids kept trying to blink, her gaze focused on his. Tears shimmered a reflection of the emotion in his eyes and she felt like she might break apart at any moment.

Her cheeks were stained with dust and tear tracks and she squeezed her eyes shut against a burst of pain as her lifemate retook his human form. Groaning, she forced her body to stay upright, holding back the urge to double over, only opening her eyes again when she heard his knees hit the sand.

When he took her hand, she stiffened and turned her head away but let him take it. More tears spilled down her cheeks, because she knew what he was doing and she wanted to hate him for it. If he'd just waited for a minute, she'd have healed all by herself and he wouldn't have had to take the injury upon himself. She wouldn't have had to see his blood on his shirt.

Her breathing was ragged now, on the verge of sobs, as he cupped her cheek. She leaned into him for a split second before recentering her balance, still refusing to look at him. She'd reached the end of her ability to deal with this, pushed over the edge. It was bad enough when he trapped her in their apartment during her pregnancy but they were supposed to be past that now. He needed to trust her. She needed him to trust her. She understood perfectly why he insisted on healing her but it was completely unnecessary and he was killing her bit by bit.

"I can't." Her voice was barely a whisper as she finally looked up into his eyes, her face stark with pain. "I just can't." She shook her head, her eyes filling with desperation. In the back of her skull she heard her son's summons and squeezed her eyes shut again.

Reaching up with a trembling hand, Daz brushed Kade's hair out of his eyes, studying his face as if she'd never see it again. "You have to find a way, Kade," she whispered, her free hand flexing around the hilt of her sword. "You have to. I can't be... a bird in a cage. Not even for you."

Urged on by Wolf's growing insistence, Daz darted forward, up onto her tiptoes to press a loving kiss to her husband's cheek, lingering by his ear to whisper, "I love you so much." Pulling away just as rapidly, Daz stared up at him as she teleported away.
