[Sabrina]

Sabrina had never been around animals enough to become accustomed to them, nor had she ever had the apparent skill to keep one alive for more than two months. The only pets she had ever owned had been four fish, four fish that had been won at the carnival or bought from the pet store and then had all died in a short space of between one week and two months. Geraldine had been the final goldfish that had survived under the harsh care of Sabrina, survived for two months and then had been found one morning floating upside down. That had been the twelve year old Sabrina who had just delved into maturity, who had blankly narrowed her eyes and felt hatred for herself, for not taking better care of the fish. Thus, she had taken to expressing this through, in the stories she liked to write, using her own character as the evil villain. But that fetish had ended after someone at school had criticised the beautiful pieces of literature as all too typical, too much like a melodrama.

And the fetish for singing had began.

Over the years, during maturity and around, Sabrina had developed quite a few skills by taking to different arts and concentrating on them for an approximate period of a year or more. She was the type of person who could not at all stick to one thing and one thing alone, but she enjoyed being fickle like that; it meant she could take the time to develop a variety of skills instead of just one. There had been singing, dancing, writing, acting, sewing and reading, reading being the one skill that Sabs had stuck to over the years. It had started off as standing up in Church on Sundays to read aloud from the gospel or a first reading, and gradually morphed into reading novels and series that were way beyond her years.

Despite all of these things, Sabrina lacked in refinement. She was not at all classy, or fit to be a real lady. She was quirky, peppy, and did not harbour the neccessary attributes to be as refined as some. Sabs read Victorian novels, she might try to keep up all of the skills but the one thing she could not change was her own personality, her character. Talkative, giggly, shy and able to give her opinion, there was nothing much that wasn't material enough for her to be considered mature. Amiable and bright as she was, she was nothing different from the American way of life.

The horse obliged because of the food, Sabrina noticed with some dissatisfaction as Nacht's coarse and wiry tongue lappedup the oats from her open palm. All the while, she slid her small hand down his muzzle, arm stretched right up as she possibly could. Good job his neck was arched slightly, otherwise she would most likely have never been able to reach up. Inimicus and Loranth spoke to her and to each other, and Sabrina realised that they were good companions for her. They could put up with how she was, and not to mention they were both very nice people and pleasant enough. She would like to think they could be friends, for the Dragon and the Vampire were some of the only people Sabs felt comfortable with in Elysia. No-one else had bothered to be her companion.

"So, now that we all know eachother a bit, shall we start that tour around Danurai?"

Sabrina bounced up and down on her heels and giggled with excitement, jet black hair swaying around. She was quite childish, but she could put up with herself. "Oh yes, lets! Danurai is so pretty, and big too! We shall have a marvellous time together, even if I might get annoying at some point today!" she chirped up, finding herself quite happy and content to be with them. Taking several steps forward, she turned back around to wait for the two. "Hurry up! Danurai won't explore itself, you know." Despite being typically American, one too many Fielding and Austen novels resulted in beginning to speak like you were Jane Eyre or Emma Woodhouse.

As she rocked back and forth on her heels, Lora looked first and Inimicus, who was smiling at her and then at Sabrina, who was smiling at Nacht, who was eating out of Sabrina's hand while being held tightly in place by Ini's strong arm.

She wanted to get started on their way around the village, but didn't want to seem too pushy, so she didn't say anything else as she waited to see what they'd say to her suggestion.

She almost cheered with glee when Inimicus replied, "Yes, let us get on with the tour. This is my day off and I really do need to be back in the underground tommorow, so much to do so little time to do it in...If you would just show me where you stabled your mare Loranth I would love to accompany the both of you."

Instead of cheering with glee, she felt herself flashing him what she hoped was a bright smile and pointing over to where she'd left Amira. "It's just over this way, practically a hop, skip and a jump, really!"

She watched Sabrina feed Nacht the last of the oats and then realized the Nymph was just as excited as Lora was when she said,"Oh yes, lets! Danurai is so pretty, and big too! We shall have a marvellous time together, even if I might get annoying at some point today!" Lora laughed at her new companion and watched as the Nymph ran forward a few paces and then turned, talking to both Lora and Ini, "Hurry up! Danurai won't explore itself, you know."

"Goodness. You sure had good lessons on stating the obvious, didn't you, Sabrina? You'd fit in well with my mother," Lora replied, chuckling at Sabrina's excitement. She was happy to have found other people to share the day with, and hoped the rest of it was as nice as the last ten minues had been. Her initial jealousy of the Nymph was fading as she realized that her new acquaintance was a genuinely kind soul. At least her first impression led Lora to believe that she was. She had only a few close friends back on earth, the majority of them being dragons, as humans tended to age too quickly to create any stable relationships. The good thing about Elysia was that Lora could be open about what she was and not have to wear contacts or sunglasses all the time to hide her dragon eyes. She was looking forward to making new friends with other races. She'd need to expose herself to all of them to continue her line of work.

She started to follow the Nymph, glancing over her shoulder at Inimicus and his large steed. Turning around to face him again, she walked backwards to see if he was following them or not.

"You coming, Inimicus? It's not far. Do you have any nicknames? Inimicus seems so proper. Only folks who don't know me very well or folks that are angry at me tend to call me Loranth, so I'd love it if you called me Lora. Unless you want to continue to not know me very well and perhaps be angry at me? I wouldn't be very happy with the last two suggestions though." she winked at Inimicus. Lora couldn't help but tease the Vampire a little bit, she wanted to see if he had a sense of humor that she could work with.

She turned back towards Sabrina and picked up her pace, heading for the stables and smiling along the way. Today was going to be great! She could feel it.

Inimicus chuckled at the enthusiasm of the young nymph girl, it was delightful to see someone with such seemingly boundless energy. It seemed lately too many people were more cautious than excited, Inimics included more often than not in that category...though he was trying to change thanks to Kaida. Still he perfectly understood what she said when she said she might get annoying later in the day, such energy often times could really start to grate on nerves.

Inimicus smiled at the girl just as Loranth smiled and responded to him, he turned his attention from the Nymph to the dragon. He didnt intend to be rude but he had more interest in the dragon so his attention shifted to her without really thinking. She flashed him a broad white smile which caused him to smile broadly, it was nice to be able to show his fangs without people freaking out and running away for once.

" Well then Lora, Sabs, let us hop skip and jump together shall we! "

Inimicus winked at Lora as he spoke. He turned to Sabrina as Loranth spoke to her, he winced a little, he didnt know if the dragon intended it but it sounded a bit ruder than he thought she meant it to. He laughed a little as he moved, gathering up Nacht's reins.

" I wouldn't say that Lora, at least not here, it wouldnt suprise me if some place did explore itself hehehehe "

He turned to Nacht and ran his hand down the neck of the large clydesdale

" Good Horse Nacht, good horse. Come one, i'm going to stable you and give you a lot of oats. Don't get any ideas with the mare near you though alright big boy? "

As he was speaking he heard the voice of Lora shout back to him. He turned and started walking towards her smiling. She was teasing him he was moderatly certain, that was fine with him all the more interesting. He winked at her and responded

" Well then Lora I will make sure to use your more familiar name. "

He flashed her a rougish smile as she continued

" Oh no no no, I would not like to be angry with you and I would so love, to get to know you much better "

Inimicus smiled and winked at Lora again as he caught up to the group heading towards the stable

The day Sabrina began to stop and think of others’ thoughts of her, the day pigs would fly. They probably did in Elysia, however, and with a puzzled expression she reserved for herself that none others would ever see, a smile crossed her face. Although she had not seen much out of the ordinary in Elysia, excepting handsome men with elegant black wings, vampires, nice pretty girls with slitted eyes and lands to put Earth to shame, Sabs still felt enthusiasm to explore to the deepest crevices of this strange dimension. It was mysterious, it was exciting; everything the young, adventurous Nymph could ever want in a place she lived. Not to mention the different lands and variety of places to explore.

Turning on her heel to make sure the others were following her, Sabs smiled at the two. She liked them quite a bit, especially Lora. Lora could relate more easily to the Nymph, and on top of that, Sabs had spent more time in her company than the newcomer's, Inimicus'. Inhaling the lush, untainted air Sabrina gestured for them to hurry their pace, calling down at the same time, "Hurry! We need to get all the way around here before the day is over!" Her voice chirped with enthusiam, her hand beckoning as she twirled once on he spot. "Besides. The Market Place will be bursting by the time we reach there if you carry on casually!" Always the enthusiastic one.
