Alexshire is a city-state straddling the River Cora. It is made up of the City of Alexandria, a couple of hamlets, and 300 square miles of farmland. The rich district (known as New Alexandria) houses some 5,000 of the city's wealthiest merchants and officials, and was built around Elysia's main portal.

<span style="letter-spacing: 2px; font-weight: bold; color: aqua">"Art... think art. Lines... swirls... curves..."</span> Naava said allowed, not really paying much attention to the factr that she was saying it and not thinking it. She'd finally decided to do something since she'd practically lost her entire world a few weeks ago. The doctor said that seeing things she had known previously could help her remember, but so far there'd been very little. Right about now all she knew was her name and species, and she wasn't even totally certain about the latter. Something about being Anyeli didn't sit right with her.

Now she had decided to try and figure out what to do with herself, and Artist had seemed to be at the top of her list. Though she wasn't quit sure how good she'd be at it but she'd at the very least try. Besides, there was something.... fun about holding the pencil and pad in her hand as she watched the water flow from the fountain. <span style="letter-spacing: 2px; font-weight: bold; color: aqua">"Oh! Maybe I'll draw that!"</span> Naava shouted abruptly as he eyes sparked on the beautiful fountain itself. It'd be a great way to test and see if she was suited to artistry or not, even if it was most likely quite a bit above her skills.

The anyelos had taken up her now usual perch on the side on the fountain, her legs lifted up into her long flowing skirt that was a soft wood-like color. The skirt itself fell off the ledge and onto the ground due to Naava's position, but the girl didn't notice as sh attempted to scribble out a basic sketch of the water fountain. Her inattention, however, caused her to accidentally knock her bag over, spilling an array of colored pencils out into the street. <span style="letter-spacing: 2px; font-weight: bold; color: aqua">"Oh my god!"</span> Naava shrieked slightly as she jumpd up as quickly as possible and attempted to pick them all up before anyone fell.

Though he knew quite well that it made it obvious he was relatively new to the city, Danube couldn’t help but look around in amazement at his surroundings. He had been here a few days now and the novelty had yet to wear off. The sheer size of the place amazed him.

This he tried to tell himself, paying little heed to his own voice of reason is why I keep getting lost. I should be looking at the road rather than the buildings.

Paying little heed to his common sense, he continued on his walk to whatever looked the most interesting.

The young Dragon was startled by the shriek, quiet as it was. He had heard a lot of stories from his grandfather about bad things that happened in the bigger cities and while he was quite sure that they were exaggerated if not completely untrue he wasn’t about to risk letting something bad happen to someone if he could help it. He dashed in the direction of the cry. It wasn’t far at all, it must have been quieter than he’d thought.

He was relieved that it was just that the girl had dropped her things. He picked up some of the pencils that she had not gotten yet.

"You should really take better care of these, miss. They look quite fragile, they would have broken if anyone stepped on them." He said, holding the pencils he had picked up out to her.

Alice drifted through the streets, without paying much attention to where she was headed. This was just another stop on her list of places to visit. Alice had been in the Underground for a few days now and was satisfied with what she'd experienced. The place was lovely, though the name implied otherwise. She hadn't yet met anyone of decent interest, and that disappointed her a bit. Though she didn't go out of her way to meet people, she was usually successful in acquiring several accquaintences in every place she visited. Of course, the fact that she'd spent an immense amount of time at the library in the past few days may be part of her problem. Alice had only just entered into the city again. She'd been on the outside of the city, in her tiger form, sleeping soundlessly for the past couple hours. Therefore, she was still comfortable in her human form.

It was best for her to travel through the cities in her human form. Some people were frightened or put off by a tiger cub prancing throughout the place they called home. However, she'd still done it several times. It was just more comfortable to travel as an animal. However, she was definately more approachable as a human. Alice grinned, thinking of how frightening she'd look as a fully adult sized tiger. As a cub, Alice was still adorable enough to attract interested gazes and even a few braves soles. However, no matter how cute, most people didn't risk being attacked by a tiger. This amused Alice immensely. Although her animal instincts overrode her human ones, most of the time, it was still unlikely for her to attack passersby.

Alice began approaching the familiar fountain. People scattered themselves around it; some were coming, some were going, and some were simply just there. Alice's keen eyes took in her surroundings with appreciation. Her gaze flickered to a girl, just in time to see her spill her belongings all over the ground. How could some people be so clumsy? Alice trudged over to help, but was beat by a man who seemed to appear out of nowhere. Well, she was already just standing there, not saying anything, so she might as well introduce herself. ""Well, it seems there was no need for me,"" Alice smiled. Feeling a bit out of place, Alice shifted her weight from one foot to the other. "I'm Alice," she introduced herself to the two stranger. Then, to the girl, ""What are you drawing?""

"I am such a klutz!" the young half-breed thought angrily as she stretched out on all fours to try and pick everything up. She was ruining her beautiful new dress and drawing so many stares right now Naava thought she may just straight out die from embarrassment. "Of course, it's not like anyone here could help me pick these up," she wanted to shout at the people in the crowd who were mocking her with their eyes. But she didn't. She couldn't. What if some of the people knew her and that's why the weren't helping her? The girl sat up for a moment and shuddered at the thought that she could have possibly done something so awful that no one would trust her anymore.

Quickly a young man hurried over from the crowd and helped Naava to pick up her belongings. He was rather cute, in that sort of boy-next-door kind of way, Naava mused silently. As he held out her pencils, Naava blushed and looked away. How embarrassing! The first person to speak to her all day, and it was only because she had just made a complete fool of herself! "Thanks... I'll try to remember that." Naava said as one hand reached out to take the pencils from the man, and the other brushed her hair gently behind her ear.

Blushing intensely, Naava tried to look anywhere but at the guy so that he hopefully wouldn't notice the change to her even complexion. "Well, it seems there was no need for me," Someone said from off to the side of the anyelos. "I'm Alice," The voice continued as Naava's embarrassment bubbled. She might actually just die right here, Naava thought anxiously. "What are you drawing?" The girl asked and Naava suddenly remembered her pad she'd dropped when her pencils scattered.

Sprining upwards again, Naava hurried to the flat stone ledge and, upon sighting the pad safe and dry, she grabbed it-still trying to stay even and poised. Thankfully Naava now knew that the girl didn't know her, but the boy might, and Naava didn't want to make any ill impressions if there was any previous relationship with him. Yes, she could definitely see that. The boy was cute, with his soft whit pony tail and loose clothing. His tone was also rather gentle and even, overall Naava thought he was, at the very least, a nice guy. Hopefully if he didn't know her she'd not made an awful first impression, and if he did already know her she'd not destroyed whatever friendships they possibly had.

"Oh... it's nothing. Just a sketch." Naava said bashfully to the standing stranger as she moved to put everything back inside her bag. "My name's Naava," she said as she sat down, looking from the girl to the guy. "Thank you for your help, it seems most people here are too bus with themselves to stop and care for a moment." she said, smiling gently at the man for a moment before looking away again.

Even if Danube had been perceptive enough to notice the anyeli’s blush he wouldn’t have thought much of it. Most of his already long life he had lived with just his grandfather and the unique, neither of whom blushed, rarely coming into contact with anyone else. The only thing he associated a flushed face with was illness.

A second girl, who seemed to have come to help a little too late, introduced herself and asked what she was drawing. Danube, having been curious about that himself but not wanting to pry, was glad someone else had asked, but they didn’t get much on an answer. The young Dragon considered trying to look at the sketchbook as she put it in her bag but decided against it. If she didn’t want people to look at it then it really wasn’t any of his business.

" Thank you for your help," the girl said after introducing herself "it seems most people here are too busy with themselves to stop and care for a moment."

"Maybe they just didn’t notice." Danube suggested. "It’s quite busy, it's possible that they didn’t realize anything was wrong."

He stretched out a hand to shake. "I suppose I should introduce myself, too." he said with a smile. "My name is Danube, pleased to meet you. I've never met an artist before."

((OOC: I'm an awful person ;--; please don't hate me for being so slow ;--; ))

Naava's eyes wandered back to the man as he spoke. His voice was pleasant and fit his form well. As he finished speaking, however, Naava found herself once again blushing and looking away. She no longer noticed the girl who left sometime after Naava brushed off her comment towards her drawings. In fact, if Naava had noticed the girl leaving, she likely would have gone after her to make sure that she wasn't upset. Right now Naava didn't really feel much like upsetting people, so she was more than prone to going out of her way to make sure everything was alright.

But as it stood, she didn't notice, and for the moment was more than happy to be in the company of the man. His name rolled off of his tongue nicely and Naava repeated it a few times in he mind. It was an unusual name, but that only added to his attractiveness. Stretching her hand out, Naava gingerly shook his had as he spoke rather eloquently to her.

"I'm not much of an artist, really. I just started... I think..." Naava's words tapered off towards the end of her statement as she silently wondered if she'd been an artist before she'd forgotten everything. That would be an interesting twist of events. But still, she didn't have much time to wonder right now as she wanted to actually be cordial. At least now she knew that she DIDN'T know the man before hand. Now there would be no risk of needing to know something she didn't know.

"I'm very pleased to meet you as well, Danube." She said with a bashful smile, unwittingly flirting with him and using every bit of allure she had subconsciously. "Can I ask what you do?"

Naava smiled flirtatiously. She didn't know quite what had come over her but this man was definitely cute and without consciously even trying to she was letting her allure run wild. It wasn't long, though, after she'd spoken, that her watch's alarm began to beep. "Oh no! Flight practice!" Naava shouted, jumping to her feet while still trying to be careful not to drop anything she was carrying. "It was really nice to meet you Danube, and thank you for helping me, but I have to run!" She said, blushing furiously as a cool breeze blew both her hair and skirt about.

Curtsying briefly, Naava smiled and then turned and ran to the portal. She was going to be late for her "Flying with Shadows" class if she didn't hurry, and if she was late again she wasn't quite sure what the instructor would due to her. The old battle axe had far too many sticks up her rear, in Naava's opinion, but still, in order to understand and control her abilities she needed to make sure she got to these classes. With any luck sooner or later her memory would spark again and she'd be able to skip some of the ones she'd apparently passed already and move on with her life once more.
