[Tom]

Tom noticed the couple he'd approached earlier had returned. He abandoned his search for Piper and turned to the new arrivals.

"Hello again folks. How can I help?" He asked, slightly stiffly. He hadn't enjoyed being ignored the first time he'd spoken to them.

[Kaida]

Kaida turned her head at the person who was talking to them, she widened her eyes when she saw it was, who she assumed, was Tom. She moved back a bit as if he was contagious, then tried to elbow Niles in the side. Whispering in a hushed tone she growled toward him, Do something... i cant deal with this right now.

Kaida flashed an obvious fake smile then moved around Niles to have him stand between them. Umm...

[Tom]

Tom's face fell as the girl reacted to seeing him. He wondered what he'd done to offend her. He studied her face carefully-he didn't recall seeing her anywhere before. Maybe she'd been to buy something at the store, but it had been closed? Tom bit his lip, and wondered what to do next.

"Perhaps you'd like to see some of the animals?" He asked uncertainly.

[Niles]

Niles heard a voice behind him, well, being the usy place it was, he heard many, but this one stood out. He turned. Uh-oh, Tom. He now wished he hadn't pointed him out to Kaida, he looked to see how she was reacting to all this.

"Um" seemed to be her master line, so Niles took this to mean she might need help.

"Perhaps you'd like to see some of the animals?" Niles stood there, frozen for a brief moment, it almost seemed ironic, after all he and Kaida had talked about here someone was inviting them to look at caged animals. For one crazy, insane, moment he felt like laughing, it all seemed to stupid.

He shook his head, "Erm, no, We...we have to be somewhere soom, we don't really have time." It wasn't really a lie, the day was getting late, and he supposed they did need to go back before the carnival closed, although tehy would certainly have had time to see the animals.

[Kaida]

Grasping for Niles' arm, Kaida moved to hold him close to her. Flashing Tom another fake smile, she turned from him and started to move towards the fourtune tellers tent. Glancing behind them, she looked at Tom through the crowd. Letting out the breath she didnt realize she was holding, she looked at Niles. I don't know how i managed that. She moved squeezed his arm in thanks for bailing her out. I really can't get in trouble again... and my will power sucks. She said. With that, they neared the tent, and she moved to walk into it.

[Tom]

Tom raised his eyebrows-what a rude couple. He shrugged and turned back to his stall. He wondered where Piper had gotten to. Perhaps he'd take a break and try and find her. He was annoyed by those rude people, he needed a break anyway. He called to one of his helped.

"Jon! Watch the stall for me. And if that pair turn up again, tell 'em not to waste our time." Jon nodded in reply, and Tom set off in search of Piper.

[Niles]

As Niles walked away he could help overhearing what Tom said. He felt a twinge of annoyance, after all, they hadn't actualy entered the place, just stood outside, there wasn't any law against that, infact, "Jon" would have no right to move them if they went back and spent all day outside, it wasn't their land.

He decided it didn't matter much, after all, they weren't planning on going back anyhow. He smiled as Kaida Don't worry about it, I think you're handling everything beautifully. And with that he walked beside her to the future telling stand.

[Laurel]

Before entering the Elysian Underground, Laurel dropped her brother off her back. "Let's go to the petting zoo first, okay?" She didn't wait for an answer; Jack loved animals. She smiled, leading the way to Tom's area. It was nice spending time with her little brother.

[NPC]

(Jack Boudreaux, Laurel's brother, played by a guest)

"Okay," Jack said, following close to his sister. He sighed inaudibly, wishing he could stay with Laurel longer than just the day. But he couldn't. He was only eight, after all.

[Laurel]

Reaching the petting zoo, Laurel waved to Tom before stepping over to the rabbit pen. "How about rabbits, Jack." She knew that he hated anything feline related just as much as she did, maybe even more. Cats were the entire reason that they'd lived with their aunt and uncle since Jack was two, though they'd grown to call them mum and dad.

She knelt down in the pen, reaching her hand out to pet one of the rabbits. The rabbit sniffed her hand with interest before allowing her to pat him.

[NPC]

(Jack Boudreaux, played by a guest)

Jack smiled, happily bending down next to the pale girl to pet the rabbit she was. "So... Umm... Laur? When do you think you're gonna be... Coming home?"

[Laurel]

She had known that the question would arise at some point during their day. And yet, she found herself slightly surprised by it. Call it superstition, but with such luck as to find him at the pond, she'd flipped a penny and it landed on heads after she wished it wouldn't be asked.

"Jack, I... I don't know if I'm going to be coming home any time soon... Or ever... I like it here, Jack. But I'll visit you, and I want you to visit as often as you're in the area, okay?"

[NPC]

(Jack played by a guest)

Jack looked down at the floor when his sister spoke. He'd expected that, but somehow it made him sad to hear her say it. "Okay, Laur. I promise I'll visit sometimes."

[Laurel]

"Cheer up, Jack. I'll visit. We'll see each other. But it was time for me to leave, anyway..." Laurel gave her brother a quick hug before resuming her scratching of ther rabbit's head. "What should we do next?" She asked, peering down at the little boy.

Jack considerred the options. "Can I see more of Eh... Eh... Umm... Oh yeah! Elysia? Pleaasseee," he begged, clasping his hands into a begging appearance. "Please, Laurrieee?"

[Laurel]

Laurel laughed as he used the nickname he hadn't used for her in about four years. "Hm. I can't bring you to some of the places, but we can go to... The Market place. It's pretty neat,with lots of awesome shops. What do you say, Jacky. Want to go?"

She rose to her feet after rubbing the rabbit between the ears, waiting for her brother.

[NPC]

(Jack, played by a guest)

Jack nodded, standing up also. "Is that the only place I can go?" he asked, wrinkling his nose. He liked markets, sure. But there had to be more to Elysia than New York and a market.

[Laurel]

"Yeah, sorry kiddo. You have to be level 2 to go to most places, because it's dangerous. I'm only level 2, and you're... Not even a level. You're eight." Throwing her arm around Jack's shoulders, she steered him in the direction of the market place.
