Dracos found himself in the branches of a beautiful tree along the banks of the River Cora a little ways away from New Alexandria. A warm summer breeze ruffled his long hair, sighing softly he looked up toward the sun, it's warmth fueling the fire within him. He thoughts were were strangely blank, despite the fact that he had just read the letter his sister had left him. Shrugging softly to himself he leaned back against the trunk of the tree and began to pelt small thumb sized flames at the river enjoying the hissing sound that it made when they hit the water and vanished in a puff of smoke. After several moments he came the the realization that Raider, his raven companion, was not on his customary perch of Dracos' shoulder, whistling loudly to the bird he wondered where he was. It had been several hours at least since he last saw him. When the bird did not respond to the whistle Dracos shook his head softly, chances were that the animal had gone hunting near the cabin, and that when he discovered Dracos wasn't there he would wait somewhere safe, at least Dracos assumed that he was smart enough to do that, since he was well trained.

As the day continued Dracos continued to sit in the tree in quiet reverie enjoying the sounds of the nature around him. It was getting hotter as the day grew it seemed, and the armor he was wear was finally beginning to make him uncomfortable. Unfastening the many buckles, zippers, and ties that held the armor closely to his body and the clothes that he wore beneath, he began to slowly but surely rid himself of the armor dropping it onto the river bank below, careful to ensure that it did not land in the water, how he hated that element sometimes. The only thing he kept on himself was his two blades. His white t-shirt glared the rays of the sun off of him, his loose jeans now wrinkled from the removal of the weight of the armor. Sighing with relief as the heat of his own body began to dissipate now that his skin could finally breath.

The last thought Isabel had before Xanth transported her out of the smith's shop was that there was no chance of changing the smithy's or woman's mind. She remembered the last words the blacksmith said and felt the tears starting to fill her eyes. She closed them and took a deep breath to calm her nerves. It wouldn't help if she cried all the time. She wasn't really expecting that this world would be Utopia, now did she? She took another deep breath and slowly opened here eyes, though red rimmed still.

Not noticing the person perched on a tree, Isabel slowly took in her surroundings wondering where Xanth had sent her. Being new to the place, Isabel felt a little panicked. She was on a bank of a river, albeit a beautiful river surrounded by a beautiful landscape with lots of trees but not where she started nonetheless. If it were any other time and she knew where she was, this would be the perfect place where she would spend her afternoons reading a book or taking the time to think and reflect on things. As it is, she was lost and alone with no survival skills whatsoever. Could her day get any worse? Facing a homicidal blacksmith, discriminated by unknown people because of what she is, and then getting lost in the middle of nowhere all because she was curious to see the inside of a blacksmith's shop. Brilliant.

Isabel took another turn and looked at her surroundings carefully. She finally saw what looked to be a pile leather a few ways away on the river bank and moved slowly towards it to investigate. Upon closer inspection, Isabel realized that the pile of leather was in fact clothing of some sort. At least, that's what she thought. She looked towards the river, thinking that someone was bathing in it, but it was clear of anyone. Hmmm... Someone would probably come back for these leather clothing and not leave them lying around. Isabel hoped that someone would come and help give her directions back towards the city; not even thinking about the danger of being a woman alone in a place where there are no other people around.

Dracos was relaxing, enjoying the quiet serenity of his new spot, he did not take notice at first of the girl who randomly appeared out of thin air. Then he heard a muffled sound, like someone was crying. Slowly sitting so as not to startle the individual, or animal, he looked around and spotted a female, who appeared around the age of a young adult. Dracos new better to go by appearances, here in Elysia age was a tricky thing, Dracos himself was 240 years old but looked 21. Looking her over several times he figured she was possibly a foot shorter than he was. He was not able to see her other physical features from where he was other than her long dark hair. Dracos observed the girl as she stopped crying giving her some private time to collect herself and her surroundings.

As she moved closer to him Dracos though se had seen him in the tree, but as she inspected his pile of leather armor on the ground and looked up and down the river he smirked a bit. This girls physical attributes were beautiful, though she seemed a bit lost and confused and from his point of view this did not suit her. Stretching his wings a bit so that she could see that he meant no harm Dracos began to talk in a gentle voice. "It's armor, I would be careful not to touch it's probably gathered quite a bit of heat in the sun. Are you alright, you seem a bit upset."

Beautiful. Summed up in one phrase, the river Cora looked beautiful, its waters glistening in the sunlight, so clear. It was a warm day and Sabrina wore a pale blue dress, tennis shoes and sunglasses, the light still bright but its lack of UV rays made it harmless. Which was the cause for her decision to wear no suncream at all, seeing as burning was based on the whole UV ray and skin cancer thing. It was a really, truly magnificent and glorious day. The sun was shining, the streets were bustling, and the Anka were... squawking. Same difference. She much preferred the casual and calm atmosphere that the river gave her, where the buildings were sparse and the amount of people was much, much less dense. It was hard to believe that she lived in this city. Instead of sequoia village, hidden from view and carved into trees. Sabs felt much, much more mature in comparison to when she had first entered Elysia, and it was a feeling unparelleled by anything else - it was wonderful, to not be one of the newcomers anymore. Sabrina preferred to stay a decent distance away from the riverbank as she strolled along, admiring what she could say her five meters away from it. She couldn't swim, and thus, would rather keep away than tumble in and be unable to get back out. And drowning. It was too glorious a day to have her life ended, and she somewhat wished that she had taken swimming lessons, though she doubted that they would have made much of a difference for her. There was a girl, some way up the bank. She didn't see the Zanaryan and cocked an eyebrow - the dark-haired girl was crying, whatever species she was. Sabrina hesitated, stopping in her tracks and torn between heading up or turning on her heel. The former was the option she went with, quickening her pace and seeing if she could avoid any conversation. Sabrina didn't spot the Zanaryan up the tree, but as she closed in, she could see tears in the girl's eyes. And then she was examining something. "Hey," she called out, stopping two meters away. "Hey, are you okay? I saw you crying." She didn't see the girl talking to anybody else, so Sabs must've been a little belated to hear the demon actually speak.

Isabel jumped as she heard a male voice somewhere behind her. She blinked a few times to compose herself and looked towards the trees. She didn't saw him at first but when she looked up, she saw a man sitting on a branch of a tree with impressive wings. She was frightened at first but when he spoke, it calmed her somewhat though now aware of her dangerous position.

"It's armor, I would be careful not to touch it's probably gathered quite a bit of heat in the sun. Are you alright, you seem a bit upset."

She was about to reply when another voice spoke. A woman was coming towards her, a very beautiful woman. At first, Isabel could only look, captivated by her.

"Hey, are you okay? I saw you crying."

Isabel blushed; embarrassed that two people actually saw her crying. She looked towards the man on the tree then on the girl. "I um... I'm alright. I'm sorry you had to see that. I just had a rough day, is all." She shakily smiled at them; not sure whether they were friend or foe and cautiously took a small step back.
