[Kaida]

When her dagger made contact, Kaida grinned as she finished the motions of her attack. But because of the slight victory with the dagger, it caused the Hydra to move back, making her miss her intended target. She was pleased however when her spear went through the beasts neck. The entire motion of the attack was a blur. She didn't even feel the pain when they hydra broke her arm. She saw it happen, but was so high on adrenaline, that she ignored it.

Hanging onto the spear still, Kaida barely dropped away from it in time to miss Kaethe's sword flying at her and the hydra. Ducking backwards just as Aithe's sword as well landed right where she'd been, she scowled at them. Watch where you're swinging that thing! She yelled at both of them. Not a moment later did she begin to shift into her dalmatian form. The pain in her forearm ad so intense she yelped out. Forcing herself through the pain, she finished her shifting, and looked around. Aithe and Ryou were on some bushes, and Kaethe was near a tree. No doubt that had to hurt.

Running toward the Hydra full speed, she moved around it swiftly until she was sure she had a good clear shot. Running forward, she leaped up, aiming to bite and lock her jaw on the throat of the injured head. Its neck was so damaged, with the right pressure, she could probably kill it. The other head however... she just hoped the others would come back over soon. And this time be careful in where they were swinging.

[Kaethe]

When Kaethe found herself flying through the air, she relaxed her muscles as much as possible, but she couldn't avoid injuries. Hitting the tree with a thud, Kaethe winced as she slid to the ground. Pushing off her now-cumbersome lingbow and quiver, she pulled herself up from the ground, hunching over from the pain. She noticed that Aithe and Ryou had landed on bushes, and mentally cursed whatever had given her the hard lot of life. After a moment, she redirected her anger, uttering in a low, angry voice to herself.

It's going to -I'm a potty mouth! x_x- pay for that. Practically ripping open the zippers to the pockets holding her daggers, she wrenched them out with a sharp intake of breath. Narrowing her eyes, she focused on the Hydra, noting that Kaida, the one who'd flung that utterly inane and pointless comment at her, was already back at it, attacking the Hydra directly. Idiot. If there was any way to get killed, that was it. Well, someone had to save her, and Aithe and Ryou were still lounging in the bushes, so it looked like she was it. She'd have to exact a punishment for such idiocy from Kaida later. Business was business.

Digging her toes into the dirt, Kaethe tensed for a moment before propelling herself forward with a vicious shout. Her daggers flashing in her hands, she went after the largely uninjured head. Leaping into the air, she unfurled her wings and soared a good deal into the air, before diving back down towards the Hydra, her hair streaming back from her face and the points of the wicked-looking daggers she held in her hands pointing down, directly at the uninjured head.

[Aithe]

Dammit... Aithe sputtetered, spitting out leaves as she moved uncomfortabley in the branches of the bush. It took a few seconds to get her clothes untangled before she could hop onto the ground. The dragon gave Kaatje, who was lodged into the dirt ground, a hard tug and turned to inspect the hydra. For a moment her eyes saw a medium sized cut on its skin and, assuming it was her work, smiled slightly.

Something...but definitely not enough, she sighed, glancing over to find that Ryou and Kaethe had also been launched into the shrubs. Whether it was she assumed they were okay, or if Aithe frankly didn't care, it couldn't be told. She advanced once again.

[Ryou]

Sprawled in a bush, Ryou could only be glad it hadn't inflicted more injuries on him as he shook his head to clear his vision. He gripped his sword tightly, glaring at the canine 'shifter. Yes, he was glad she was here to help, but she wasn't close to Mahesa. If she was, she'd be swinging a sword around too!

Okay, well, maybe she wouldn't, as she was a 'shifter. But... Figure of speech, sort of. Pushing himself up off the shrubbery, he lifted his sword again. Turning to the hydra once more, he did as he had been doing before being so rudely tossed away--twice.

This was not good for his pride.

[Kaida]

Getting to her feet, Kaida looked at the head of the snake lying a few feet from her. She yet again, had to let go before Aithe's sword came swooping across, nearly cutting her in half, as well as cutting of the beasts head. Giving her a nasty growl, she turned back to where the hydra was just in time to see it knock down a bunch of trees. Quickly moving closer to the center of the area, the trees landed with a loud thud around them. It seemed Ryou was alright, but the Hydra was long gone. Hopefully, whatever they needed, they could get from this head.

Standing up again, she started to feel the pain in her arm. And walking on it wasn't doing her any good. Slowly she began to shift back into her human form. When she was fully shifted, she looked down at her arm. It was a blood covered mess. A large gash where the bit occurred, and it was deffinatly not at the right angle. That was probably from her walking on it as a dog. Standing from her kneeling position after shifting, she looked down at her clothes. They too were covered in blood. When she'd tore open the things neck, the blood pumped out right onto her stomach. Now she was soaked in it.

Making a face, she shook her head and ignored it. Kaida looked up at the head lying a few feet from her. Her spear was still stuck into its neck. Walking over to it, blood dripping from her wounded arm, she took hold of the spear and placed her foot on the beast. Yanking out her weapon, she noticed it was missing the tip. Welling out a sigh, she moved away from the corpse and tossed her spear in a random direction. Just lovely. She said annoyed. Turning to the others, she looked at them. Well, we taking this thing back or what? The head looked to big for one person to carry. So unless they drained it here, it would be an awkward walk back. It was a good thing the portal was in viewing range. They didn't have far to go.

[Kaethe]

Kaethe's attack had been successful, but she never knew it. Almost instantly after her dagger struck home, her battered body was sliced through by the fangs of the hydra, inflicting major injuries on her as she crushed the severed head. She bit her lip to prevent herself from crying out, and the pain was so great that she actually drew blood. She was reaching for Devi, forcing herself to get over her little ache and get her blooming -fudge- moving when she felt herself flying through the air, and not of her own volition, either.

Landing with a juciy thud, Kaethe's head lolled to the side weakly, her hair trailing in the dirt. Dipping into unconciousness for a minute, she came around just as Kaida spoke. Gritting her teeth, she slowly, painfully forced herself into a semi-upright position, uncomfortably reclining on her elbows. Sarcastically, she gave the shifter the best dressing down she could manage at the moment, although much of the effect was lost due to the weakness of her voice.

Ha. Well. About that. I have the oddest feeling that I am lucky to still be breathing.and will probably expire if I even so much as try and lift that behemoth. Then there's the fact that we don't need the blooming head, we just need the venom contained inside it! Oh gee, someone's real quick on the uptake there. Shakily pulling herself to her feet, Kaethe about dropped back to the ground when she felt the sharp pains in her side begin. Taking shallow breaths, her pallor went deathly pale, and sweat began to form on her forehead. What the? When the hydra bit her, did it poison her? :potty:, if it had poisoned her, the little -thing- better run!

Staggering towards Devi, Kaethe felt ashamed of what she had been reduced to. Some little sissie that couldn't stand a little pain to save another. She took a deep, shaky breath, picking up Devi and sliding her back into her sheath.

[Kaida]

Kaida rolled her eyes at the Anyeli. Her sarcasm was annoying and unwanted. Especially at this point in the quest. She was about to say something, but she noticed the state Kaethe was in. Looking around the group, it seemed Aithe was the least hurt here. Personally she didn't know how to drain the Hydra venom, nor did she really want to. It was the Dragons quest, and she could get the venom on her own. Kaida did what she had to do, and beyond. As of right now, there were two seriously injured people. Ryou with his bite into his leg, and Kaethe with a bit to the side. Unlike Kaida and even Ryou, Kaethe's injury could be deadly if she wasn't treated soon. And as much as she despised helping someone who obviously wouldn't want it, she felt she needed to.

Walking past the Hydra head, she came up to Kaethe. She honestly didn't know what to say. No matter what she was sure to be rejected, and if that happened, she'd be forced to leave. She didn't like being places where she was unwanted. Let me help get you to the hospital. Aithe and Ryou can handle this. She said, trying to remain as soft as possible.

[Ryou]

The hydra wasn't dead, no. The questers hadn't been that successful. However, it had left a body part, hopefully with enough venom to fill the jar Aithe had. Kaida and Kaethe bickered, causing Ryou to look up from the head of the creature. "Kaethe, you go on to a hospital. Like Kaida said, Aithe and I can handle this."

He glanced at his Wyvern, the one he had last seen the jar with. "So, how do we go about filling the jar?" Squish it? Stomp on it? Cut it open and pour it?

[Kaethe]

When Ryou voiced his agreement with Kaida, Kaethe decided she might as well go. But there was no way in hell that that -badword- shifter was coming with her. Turning away from Kaida and tossing her blood-spattered curls back over her shoulders, she inspected the rents in the leather of her outfit while she causally spoke.

Alright then. Aithe, Ryou, I suppose I'll see you later. Then, without so much as a backwards glance, she started off towards the portal, her head held high and her spine strait, her hand resting on her sword. Kaethe refused to show any sign of the blinding pain she was suffering as she went. She was better than that. It wasn't until she had been gently swallowed into the portal that she let loose the scream that had been threatening to eat her from inside out.

[Kaida]

Kaida's mouth dropped when Kaethe left without so much of a word to her. She could feel the bitterness inside of her trying to tear through into the world around. Glaring at the back of the disappearing Anyeli, she clenched her jaw and her fists. Her eyes hardened while her fingernails dung into her skin from her anger. Looking around her, she searched for the tip of her spear. Locating it a few feet away, she walked over to it and picked it up, then walked to the head of the beast. She didn't care if they tried to stop her, she didn't care if they thought she was stealing. She helped bring down the beast. In fact, she was the one who caused most damage. And that was while she was avoiding the idiots barrage of attacks aimed straight for her.

Bending down, she took her spear head and with a warrior like shout, jamed it into the beasts mouth, cutting off one of its fangs. When she was done, she was splattered in even more blood, and she looked up at the others. Picking up the fang, she held it like a weapon. I'm taking this. With a hard cold look in her eyes, she turned from the Dragons and shifted into her latest fox form. It was lighter on her paw, and she could run faster. When fully shifted, her broken leg landed hard on the ground, and she yelped in pain. The tooth had fallen to the ground, but she picked it up in her mouth. Turning back to the others, she growled a warning, then took off running, her broken paw lifting off the ground every few steps. It wasn't long before she disappeared into the portal.

[Kaida]

Kaida came through the portal to see the head of the Hydra laying where fell. She didn't bother to look for, or even notice the other quest members. If this was all that was needed, then she was going to retrieve it, and let Zephyr know she'd done what was needed. And maybe... because she'd shown more than just a messenger would, maybe he might see the potential in her.

Carrying her makeshift harness she'd made out of tree vines, she took a s-zap- of animal skin and wrapped it around the beasts head. Tying it up securely, she tied the other end extremely tight on her waist. With a little concentration, she shifted into her dalmatian form, the heavier of her two forms. With a lot of pull, and a lot of strain, she pulled the Hydra head towards the portal, aiming for the market, and the hospital.

(Ooc: Sorry ya'll but this has taken too long. Ive had to come in twice now just to move it along, so im taking over. I tried not to G-mod, but after waiting forever, this quest HAS to end. Again, sorry, im sure you can come up with a good way to RP your character out of it)

"Aithe, are you okay?" The wyvern had been quiet for quite a while, and it worried Ryou a bit. Not only did it worry him, but he was growing irritated. She led this quest, and chances are she'd get -mad as a hatter- if he took charge, what with how she had snapped at the others earlier. Although, he couldn't blame her for getting mad earlier--he'd been mad too.

Then, the 'shifter--Kaida, was it?--came back, not paying any attention to them and took the hydra's head. -yargh-! He glowered at her retreating form. She probably just wants the -zap-ing glory for bringing it. I bet she doesn't even CARE about Mahesa!

With his anger rising, he darted after her, reaching the portal and stepping through.
