Marshal's Mess Continues
Several weeks ago, renowned journalist Mary-Ann Portello, writing for the Alexshire Gazette, reported on the Marshal's surprising move towards bringing rogue vampires to justice by creating a new policing force tasked with the finding - and, it would seem, arresting - of vampires in Alexshire.
Since the new warrant was announced, we have printed numerous follow-up articles regarding the abuse of this warrant by the Marshal's new task force. It would seem that, far from having the purpose of exacting justice as the Marshal declared, he has instead granted authority for these men to do as they please.
Citizens are crying out daily for the Marshal to withdraw the warrant and disband this so-called task force, but shortly after issuing statements that "Alexshire cried out for justice and protection and it's past time we responded" in January, his doors closed to all comers.
"[The Guard] have tried talking to him about this, but his secretary just turns us away, claiming he's in meetings or otherwise unavailable. He's got to know what's happening on the streets. We're going to have an uprising on our hands if these men continue to abuse their authority like this," said Oisín's second-in-command, who has been vocal in his disapproval.

"My vampires aren't going to stand for this much longer," said the Vampires' queen, a woman known only as "Bailey". "We have men and women who have never once preyed on animals, let alone humanoids, yet they're being tossed in jail and treated worse than beasts. They can only tolerate so much injustice before it becomes a real problem."
And still it seems that the real culprit for the grisly murder of Oisín's wife, a vampire according to evidence collected at the scene, goes free with no sign of the Marshal's task force even attempting to catch him.
"It's horrifying. The real killer is out there, maybe even on some killing spree, but they're too busy locking up the innocents to bother tracking him - or her - down."

The Sword and the Shield
The Sword and Shield, tucked away in a quaint little corner of Fisherman's Wharf in Espur, might have begun as little more than a lay-over for merchants and their guards, but these days you'll be hard pressed to find a better meal for such a bargain.
Modelled after taverns of old, the Sword may look somewhat run down from the outside, but once inside it becomes quite clear how much love and care has gone into this family-owned and -run little pub.
There are no modern gimmicks at play here. No plasma screen to watch Sunday gladiator matches live from the Coliseum, no jukebox, and no arcade games. They don't even accept credit cards here as everything's done cash up-front. Yet where the Sword and Shield fails in entertainment, it more than makes up for in atmosphere, focusing instead on what people truly want from a night out: Good food, good booze, and good conversation.

- If you're looking for a quiet night out with close friends, look no further!
