Umm...hi.

So I'm not sure if this is totally down with you guys, I mean...random stranger spamming your boards and all. But Ms. Emma ate my arm down there you can see it just scroll ohmaigaaah pinged me down there in the shoutbox annnd instead of having you guys wonder wtf this Nicolay is, I thought I should step up and try to introduce myself, anyway. So please hold your tomatoes until I'm done (although I prefer oranges, they're nummier).

Ahem. So, hi! My name's Liv and I've been brought here -- as some of you might have guessed with the name of my character -- with the influence of Ms. Amber who plays the dearest Isabel Armitage. I'm 23-years old, a proud Asian, and when I'm not roleplaying, I'm listening to music, whiling away the hours in PS (until I find a job), reading a book or writing more things. Speaking of roleplaying, I've been in the hobby for about a decade already -- started in an X-Men Play-by-E-mail game and went into a hiatus a few games after. I hopped back into the RP scene around 2004 and that was when I started journal RPing -- like in LiveJournal, the late GreatestJournal and InsaneJournal. Amber and I were both in a short-lived (really, really short-lived) game, then and we vowed we'd make a game together but I wonder where that vow went. Anyway, I've been a steady RPer until 2007 when drama exploded at my face and I pulled out altogether 'cause it wasn't worth it, anymore. 2008, I made a soft return to the RP scene but have only been into very few games with very few characters since then. I guess I'm still taking it slow right now (I used to play 15 active characters, what. Where did my life go?) but the last game I'm in sort of like...died down and Amber invited me to the fanpage of Elysia over at Facebook. That was when my interest really started. This, by the way, is my first forum game. See how green I am?

And so here I am, sitting in the boards with you guys with a character named Nicolay Armitage who is Isabel Armitage's foster (yes, foster) brother (like, they aren't even twins. The liar.). Long story short, he's not a blood Armitage and was used to replace the real Nicolay Armitage who I killed in my bio I mean, what can I do? I needed a smooth entrance and the opportunity presented itself. He's fun-loving, outgoing, he loves friends and dates and going out to movies and all that stuff. He cares about a lot of people, too, so when he sees your character moping and he offers his help, that's the time to ask him for money! Currently, though, Nicolay is still trying to figure out what's happened to him and still doesn't acknowledge the fact that he's not human; he's a Therian and he turns into a white cheetah. He's recently just made the unconscious step away from Earth and into Elysia and would have died if he didn't have such good luck. He's living with two NPC couples in a small apartment in the west bank of New Alexandria but aside from them, he has no friends and he's feeling really sad and lonely. Won't you come and play with him?

Hello to you, Liv! I'm Colleen, and not so long ago, I was in your shoes. I started RPing here in November of last year, and I swear that I haven't noticed how fast the time has flown! Emma, Skyla, and Amber have helped me to feel right at home here in EF, and I know that Russ probably would, too, but the guy is super busy these days.

Let's see, stuff about me ... I'm 31, and have been RPing for several years now. I'm a gamer, DnDer, dice roller, writer of poetry/songs/stories, am lucky enough to work at a job that lets me use the internet, adore cats/elves/unicorns, have a penchant for shadow based things and characters, couldn't walk in heels to save my life, and am a non-practicing bisexual. That last part is only because my boyfriend doesn't like to share, the silly goose.

I'm wacky and strange most of the time, so feel free to tell me to chill if whatever I'm writing bugs you. I respect people who are open and honest about their feelings without being grumpy about it, and I love to read things that suck me in and won't let go of my imagination. That can be anything from a really good book to a fantastic RP entry.

RPing with creative people is my fave pasttime of all pasttimes, and from what I've read of your stuff so far, Liv, I couldn't be happier to welcome you to EF!

Oh yeah, and if Emma ever says something to a "Colly" or a "Collykitty", that'd be me. Mew! =^-^=

Oh, oh! I can't forget this part! Emma allowed me to become a part-time writer for EF, so that's why you'll see the "Writer" title listed as my Group. I help out with plot stuff, and try to keep the lifeblood of EF flowing at a steady pace. I'm kinda like a nurse to Emma's doctor.

Just a sec! *Zips out but returns quickly enough, pushing a winged girl in front of her* This is Euphenia! She's half anyeli and half nymph, with her nymph side being the dominant of the two. She's a bundle of creative energy all rolled up into a very pretty package. Oh, and she blushes. A lot.

While Eli seems to be the epitome of social experience, my Phen is the opposite. She was teased quite a bit when she was younger by the "pureblood" nymph children, so she hides her body when she isn't dancing professionally. Yes, my seemingly reclusive nyad (water nymph) is a dancer at a place called The Birdcage, and while dancing she bares a lot of skin and uses every bit of her nymphly beauty to enhance her performance. It's kinda hard to explain, so I'll just sum it up in a sentence or so. When Phen's on that stage, she becomes a different person. She feels safer, more secure, and when she feels safe is when she isn't shy about her body. *Shrugs* I hope that explains it okay.

Anyway, she's best friends with Emma's Kiel, and Skyla's Lazuli is a good friend, too. She's getting to know Amber's Isabel right now, but so far so good. She had a romantic interest in Jon's Dante, but Jon has elected to stop RPing at EF, so that's out. Phen's still a bit depressed over that, as Dante was the first person she'd ever had such an interest in, but she'll work through it.

She also has a pet! Phen was given an angel snake (a small winged pearly scaled reptile) for Xanthmas, and she named her Sanna. Sanna practically goes wherever Phen goes, so expect her to be in almost ever scene Phen's in unless otherwise stated.

I'm afraid that Phen doesn't speak either English or Gaelic, so ... yeah. However, she'll be happy to try and communicate, and will work with whatever method Eli elects to try. She loves to learn new languages, so perhaps he could teach her English if they become friends? Anyway, I'll send you a PM about that, as I love to get Phen into as many RPs as I can handle.

My fave kind of chocolate? Hmm ... toughy. I think I'll have to say cadbury's dark chocolate. So yummy!

Okay, okay. So I'm 28 (I think...) and a girl, obv. I'm into all kinds of arty creative stuff, like crochet and drawing (poorly), pixel art and dolling, web designing, graphics, and all that good stuff. I also used to want to be a professional romance novelist, but that dream kind of got lost so now I roleplay instead.

Believe it or not, EF was my first ever experience of roleplaying (beyond a few short *thwaps* in IM with friends), so I kind of jumped in at the deep end. This is the big reason why EF's always changing and evolving because we're kind of making it up as we go. ¬_¬ But can you believe we'll be celebrating our fourth anniversary this August? Four! FOUR!!!

You can probably tell I suck at intros (honestly, anything past "Hi, my name is..." and I call it good ). Oh oh! My charries. I play Kiel (which you know). I also have a few retired characters who pop out from time to time, so if you ever want to RP with someone else feel free to wave a flag. Daz is an ex-Aide anti-social grumpy guts who'd probably find Nic's enthusiasm annoying, but she can be cool and she has a winged tiger named Dante. Piper's amazingly shy and stuttery, although she's been making progress off-screen since I retired her in November. She also has pets, a clingy fox called Fawn and a protective wolf named Comet. I also had a lesser god called Vicious but he took off into the aether. Who knows if he'll be back?

Oh yeah, and the biggies. Xanth, my goddess. The big (purple) cheese who likes to interfere in peoples' business then act like she's totally hands off. She's nice, normally, but she can get really really mad and scary.

And Farfar the dragon! omg he's so cute! And red. And watch out if he gets the hiccups because he has absolutely no control over where he sneezes his flames then. He also has kleptomania too so watch Nic's wallet. And, well, anything shiny really, including tin foil. He likes tin foil for some reason.

Ohoh! I told you already I have a poor memory, so I probably ought to tell you why. I normally try not to make a fuss about it because who wants to hear about it when there's fun to be had, you know? But it can affect my performance as an admin and you'll probably hear about it sooner or later, so I figure it's best to get it out in the open.

Hahah, I made it sound like I have lurgie or something, but it's Myalgic Encephalopathy (ME, aka CFIDS, or CFS) and Fibromyalgia. I won't go into details (unless you want them), except to say that it can really affect my ability to concentrate and remember stuff (along with a whole bunch of physical things that can mean I might be unable to post for a couple of days here or there).

So when I said don't be afraid to poke me if I forget stuff, I meant it.

Okay, okay, so back to the good stuff. All our members are crazy awesome and really friendly, so don't be shy or nervous! They'll drag you into a niche just for you before you know it.

Everyone's been nice to me since I stepped in. ♥ Ms. Emma's told me about your role in the back works of the game, too, so to be honest, I didn't think you'd have just joined last year -- like maybe you're one of the oldest members, etc. So I guess I was a little surprised. ;;

Ooh, a gamer? Like, video games, etc? I used to be an avid one and then money said "No" so. But I still play when I can. Also, you don't have to worry so much about my reception on your writing or anything. I've been reading a bit of Phen's play especially in her log with Isabel and the books I read pretty much have a good range from light to dark so I'm not squeamish or particular. I like to take things as they come and besides, what's fun in controlling the other player's actions, right! Unpredictability is the key to enjoyment. \o/

I will! Eli probably wouldn't like some winged reptile's presence in the conversation (and wonder if she's an ancient dinosaur) but he'll get over it. Trust him to do it. When he communicates this late in Elysia, it's by drawings and hand gestures but he's doing his best to learn Elysian only because God knows how long that guy can keep quiet. Which is umm...not for very long so. He enjoys people, he likes talking to people so he's going to overcome whatever obstacle lies before him just to freaking talk to people. Trust that he'll do his best to teach Phen English, too, for that same reason!

Wow! Seriously? I've honestly never known anyone whose first experience in RPing involves being a mod at that. And four years, I can say, is really, truly awesome. I can totally understand that. I probably would react the same way. I'm one of the more active members, so that's possibly made up the difference. I think? Anyway, I can still be consider a "fledgling" EF Writer, as I have only just gotten my fangs wet (Is using vamp terminology, dontcha know!), but I'll be sinking my teeth into meatier plottage very soon.

You betcha! I'm more into MMOs and single player roleplaying games than others, but I dabble in just about everything sort of game. I like to try things at least once before I decide if I like them or not. The only exceptions to that ruling would be the obvious like drugs and stuff. I don't do addictions beyond not being able to live without my computer.

My fave genre of book these days are dark romance, so I get you there, Liv. I've also done a lot of "adult" writing in the past on different forums and other mediums, but I respect the rules of EF and keep things PG-13 here. I'm a spontaneous person, and I do my best RPs while writing things as they come rather than planning them out detail by detail, but having a general idea of where I want the RPs to go works well. I have to agree, keeping things unpredictible encourages RP to stay fresh and fun!

Oh, I called him Eli because, well, it fits. Seriously. I look at him, read about him, and the name "Eli" gets plastered all over my brain like wet wallpaper. Thank you for the compliment to my Phen. She's one of the first characters I've ever RPed that is so self conscious. She has a whole lotta me in her, though, which is in part why she so struggles to keep to a schedule. I hope that her birthday present of a watch will help. For that matter, maybe the time keeper on her COM will help, too! *Cheers and bounces* Yay! Phen will get a new friend! Oh, The Birdcage? Well, I've been meaning to add that as a location in the wiki, so thank you for the reminder. It's a dance club/restaurant with a twist. It was originally a sanctuary for lost or injured birds, and in many ways it still is. The outside is framed by a HUGE rounded cage with thick gilded gold bars, and the actual walls of the building are painted to look like the inside of the enclosure with birds all over the place. Inside there are several sections, but the main attraction is a round surrounded by glass enclosures where The Birdcage's "feathered friends" roost. The whole thing is made to look like a forest grove, with trickling water and greenery. The stage and the enclosures have vine-like curtains that hide them when needed, and unless a girl is performing, the stage is almost always hidden in plain sight. The dance routines often involve the birds in one way or other, and are usually very seductive in nature. It's kinda like what saloon girls would do in the wild west, only there is no stripping involved. Phen herself does a fan dance and a belly dance, with the fan dance on Thursday afternoons and the belly dance on Friday nights. Phen's dances have gotten attention because she is not only a very talented dancer, but she's a nyad who is close to becoming what her people call a Master Shaper. In short, she makes sure there is water available for her to do "tricks" with to keep her audience enthralled.

*Snicker* Well, actually, Sanna is a very delicate looking snake, though her wings are pretty big for her size, just so they can keep her in the air. He might not feel all that strange around her, but we'll see. Sanna may like him, unless he smells too much like the cheetah he can turn into. Then she'll spend most of the time hiding in Phen's hair.

Oooooooh, no wonder people love her! The whole thing sounds a bit risque from what I've read but Eli's not an innocent little fella, he's had his own experiences with some similar places so pretty sure the only thing that'll catch his jaw dropping would be the Shaped water. She should take him down to The Crypt some time! Nic probably won't even dare let go of her arm, though. *cheercheer* ~ Ah, our kind are everywhere! I live in the US so I guess I'm pretty far too, and I can speak the language but my knowledge is elementary-level.

My PB is Shoko Nakagawa. She's a Japanese idol who's known for liking manga/anime. ^.^ She has that cute, large-eyed look with smooth features so I thought it would be good for a nymph character.

The thing with Haribo, I got it second-hand so who knows how accurate it is, but apparently they bought out Cadbury's and are closing down the chocolate factory in Bournemouth (?) and everything. No one knows yet if they're changing the recipe, but if they do I think they'll lose a lot of customers. I tried Cad's from the US once when I won a friendly contest and got a ton of stuff in the mail, and it's much saltier than Brits are used to, so if they switch to the American recipe I think we're done for.

So sad they're shutting down the factory. I went there for my birthday once and it was so crazily awesome!!!

ME/CFIDs often (not always) starts from virus, stress, or a combo of. They're not sure exactly what it is, what causes it, or how to cure it so it's long-term and can be majorly debilitating. I'm not hospitalised, thank the stars, but I'm largely bedbound (although I have been getting out of the house with the help of a support worker once a week, which is why I've had less time for EF the past couple of months). In a way this actually gives me more time online, since I don't have to work, but some days I just don't have the energy or brain cells to get up and do anything.

(You might be wondering how I function at all since I share a brain cell with a friend, but that's a whole 'nother story... ¬_¬)

But ooh, I haven't done any crocheting at all this week. I'm slacking, slacking I tell you! *flails and flees*

Oh hai. I'm Russ, and I'm a guy. I thought it would be polite to say hi. I'm EF's resident lurker ghost for the moment since college has eaten my soul, but I'm getting it back in about a week! I may or may not end up writing a more adequate intro for myself later, but I've been at EF since the day after it's creation. My first character was Chenoan (who is now retired, but appears every now and again) a therian himself, as well as being both an ex-aide and ex-sentinel of the Therian race. I aslo have Zephyr (obviously) who is a Rutilus 'Vari and a black smith. He also happens to be Kiel's boyfriend, haha. Apart from my boys I have Naava, a half-Anyeli half-Nymph who is predominately anyeli, to her dismay. She also happens to have amnesia at the moment, and that's been going on for like two years now. We'll see if I ever get around to RPing her out of it. Her poor brain.

And uhm, yes, if you were able to decipher any of that, congradulations! You win a cookie. YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

Woooo~ Dude, did you know that some scientist thinks we came from aliens? I saw it in Nat Geo once and this scientist claims that there have been alien-human interactions as far as sexual relations are concerned. And by that he meant the Chinese and sort of went, "How else are there billions, right?" That was the best thing I've ever heard ever. (We gonna dominate the weeerrrllllddddd~~~)

Truth, truth! Lots of time for ideas to simmer and percolate. Also have neber heard of Shoko Nakagawa. But that's prolly because I'm not familiar with the idols in her field (then again, I'd be lucky if I was even familiar with the "mainstream" idols. >.>;; I tend to keep myself occupied with the music scene far too much). She's a great choice for a nymph character, though!

Oh, wait, that was Haribo's relationship to Cadbury? I mean, I'm aware of Cadbury selling their souls or something but I thought it was Kraft who bought it. O.o Weird economics is weird. I'm a gamer too! I am a big fan of most single-player Square-Enix games, and they really chop at my time. Dabbled in MMORPGs a few years ago but that was hazardous to schoolwork, so I quit. So now I balance my gaming between EF and Okami...and Super Mario Bros Wii, and Little Big Planet, and...darn I still play a lot. D=

At the moment, Aiden is my only active. He's Therian, quite friendly, and works in the New Alexandria Guard. My other charries are Elise, Kiril, and Remy, but they're retired. College gets busy really fast so I've taken a lot of hiatuses from EF, and so I don't think my characters are developed at all. Even so, I try to keep my RPs interesting. ^__^

Ooooh, Squenix! &hearts; Although the last game I've played from them was..."Final Fantasy: Rings of Fate" or "The World Ends With You" which is an awesome, awesome game. I never got beyond "Final Fantasy IX" in the main series, though! I am seeking to remedy this in the near future. In the meantime, I've been more concentrated on DS games since those are the more easily accessible ones. Never heard of "Okami" or "Little Big Planet", though!
