[Lazuli]

While Naava went off to buy tea, Lazuli had stayed alert for any potential buyers. An old couple had wandered by and glanced at the stall several times in curiosity, and Lazuli had watched them intently in case they came over. She perked up when Naava announced her return.

"Welcome back!" she said. She glanced at the cups in Naava's hands and pointed to the strawberry one. "Oh, I would like that one, please! Thank you so much!"

Flit's sudden movement alarmed her for a moment, and Lazuli unconsciously reached out a hand with the intention of steadying Naava's arm. She seemed to recover, though, and having obtained a refreshment, Lazuli happily sipped down the deliciously cool tea. She remembered to save some for Chiko for when he woke up.

"Cease!"

Naava's outcry caught her attention. She gazed at the anyeli--was she just an anyeli?--with wide, interested eyes. Her suspicions rose from earlier. "Can you speak Sylvan?" she asked in obvious curiosity. Well, her accent was a little strange, but Lazuli was pretty sure that's what she had heard.

[Naava]

Naava was very happy that Lazuli wanted the strawberry one. Safe guesses always seemed to be the right ones, as far as the anyeli was concerned. Once Lazuli had taken her drink, Naava sipped happily at the large straw, chewing the little bits of fruit and such that came up with the drink.

Flit had reluctantly responded to the command Naava had spat out. “Oh, uhm... a little bit?” Naava said, blushing slightly in embarrassment. “It, uhm, might seem odd but I don't really know where I learned it...” She said as her cheeks started to turn red from embarrassment. It was hard to believe that she'd spent so long in this confused state, still only recovering some of her memories.

She had spent some time working on trying to recover her memories and such. She thankfully knew her name from the hospital information from when she'd woken up. She'd slowly recovered her parents names through the library in the Cloud Palace, too. She had also recently learn of a rumor about a plant that grew in the rain forest and could restore memories that had been hidden or lost. Supposedly if you drank the fresh nectar of this plant then it worked like a forced reset of your mind, removing both real and artificial blocks and restoring all memories. But according to this rumor the plant was too fragile to be moved, and it grew so deeply inside the forest that it was rare for even an herbalist to know about it.

At least, that's what the most recent apothecary she'd visited had told her. She had started looking for a way to acquire the nectar, but as of yet she'd not even found the location where the plant grew, let alone anyone who sold the product. “I... think I probably learned it as a child, but I can't really remember.” Naava said, suddenly realizing that she was revealing much about herself to this stranger. She wasn't even sure how Lazuli felt about half-breeds, it was foolish of her to tell the girl much of anything.

“Uhm, so, you'll be back later to pick up the painting?” Naava said, abruptly changing the conversation. The skotadi awkwardly diverted her gaze away from the nymph and towards Flit, who was still sitting on the ground, impatiently waiting to be returned to her prized nuts. Naava took a few steps over so that the cheefle could reach her goal without causing a catastrophe. “Just in case one of us leaves unexpectedly, I'll give you my COM number so that you can reach me,” Naava said, bending over to set down her tea so she could fish out her furry-cased COM. She really wished that she's thought to bring a table or something, but carrying all of these paintings from the Palace hadn't exactly been easy. Naava was just thankful for the pulley system that had been set up for lowering heavy objects that you couldn't fly down the tower with. Otherwise she'd have never made it here at all.

"Oh, I see." Lazuli couldn't help watching Naava in a bit of confusion as the winged girl responded to her question. She didn't press further, though, for judging by Naava's hesitant tone, it seemed that she didn't know so much herself. She smiled nonetheless. She considered Naava a new friend and yet there was some aura of mystery around her. It invoked Lazuli's curiosity but she didn't wish to pry in other people's affairs, especially if they seemed as though they liked their privacy respected.

"I am a nyad," she said light-heartedly, thinking it would only be fair to tell Naava a little about herself as well. "I was born in Sequoia, so I've spoken Sylvan since I was young. Not as much now, though, since New Alexandria is so diverse! But it's very nice to keep a part of my heritage."

She returned to sipping her drink, enjoying it as the cool, sweet tea flowed down her throat and cooled her spirit. "Yes, I definitely shall not forget!" she assurred the anyeli after a few more gulps. Lazuli pulled out her own COM and promptly recorded Naava's number. "Oh, I will give you my number too! It would be amazing if we could meet again sometime."

Communications having been set, Lazuli realized that quite some time had already passed since she'd stumbled into Naava's booth. "Ah, I think I've distracted you from your work for a little too long," she remarked with an apologetic smile. "Thank you so much for the drink," she continued cheerfully as she prepared to leave, just a little disappointed but also excited for the next prospects of the day. "I think I would like to look at some other merchandises, but I'll definitely be back for the painting. See you soon, Naava!"

She stepped out into the sun and moved both bag and drink to one arm so she could wave with the other.

[Naava]

Naava was kind of sad to see Lazuli go. She was so nice. The anyeli silently hoped that they would meet again, and who knows, now that they had each other's COM information maybe they would be able to arrange that.

Regardless of if they would meet again after today or not, Naava waved farewell to the nymph as she left before turning her attention towards other people that were filtering through. The skotadi tied Flit's leash to the base of a nearby lamppost that was practically in her booth. After several sales, and drinking the entirety of her delicious bubble tea, Naava began to pack up.

Thankfully Lazuli returned in time and the two spoke for a few moments before heading their separate ways. Yes, Naava liked that girl. She was nice. Naava retrieved Flit after finishing her packing and then headed off, dragging a small cart full of her tent, the easels on which she'd displayed her art, and those pieces that didn't sell (such as her painting of Acheron's Tear), behind her.
