“I know a great place!” Nicolay shared with a sparkling behind his blue eyes as he smiled happily at his new friend, holding onto the crystal he had checked out with Lazuli's help as he walked with her farther from the counter. He talked on as both of them climbed out of the stairs and followed the path out of the ginormous building. “It's actually small and the walls are plain and some of their foods are average but they have this sandwich that is just beautiful!” Talk of food always excited him. “They call it something like mmm...” he snapped his fingers as they departed from the library and as though the autumn sun finally revealed to him the answer, he said, “Ah! I think it's like “Cured Cheefle Meat” or something. But it's like salami?” He held his hands up and closely to each other so that the palms were separated by a mere inch. “With something like the juice of cherry tomatoes and some leafy greens and...and something like radish sticks, I don't know what they're really called.” He laughed.

There was absolutely no stopping Nicolay even as he led her to the west of the library where the cafe was located as he insisted that the sandwich was “so good” and described to her its taste -- tangy, a little sour but tender and flavorful. He talked to her like there was no tomorrow -- next telling her about this Hungarian sandwich he had eaten back in Earth and began asking her if she'd tasted it.

Nicolay decided that one day, when he'd finally man up to take the portal, he'd take her along and go on a food trip with her. It would be wild, he decided, and it would be fantastic.
