For our costume competition this year, we'll again be using dollmakers (such as tektek, the Doll Palace, and Arvee) to dress up our characters like the one I made earlier of Dazadi (->).

The theme of this contest is Skills, which means you need to make a doll that represents your character using one of theirs (in Dazadi's case, her weapons). Between the three example dollmakers I've listed, there's enough variety for you to be able to get creative and to accurately represent your character, but the aim of the game is to have fun.

The contest ends on the 31st of July at midnight (California time). You can enter your dolls (one per character) by posting the image (don't forget to credit!) in a reply to this thread, and then on the 1st I'll put up a poll so we can vote for our favourites.

The winner will receive a trophy and ζ150, and if we get enough entries two runners-up will receive ζ50 each!

What skill is she displaying? Well, if she were a Wanderer, I might have been able to say "Beast Taming",
but since she is not, we'll go with Elemental Manipulation, even if the water isn't doing much. Yet.

Used Tektek.org's Gaia Online Avatar Simulator to create my dolls because The Doll Palace confuses me and Arvee has none of my boys' hairstyles, what?

Anywaaay:


Kazuma Uemori with a sword in the library. Which he finds weird because why would he want to cut down books, right? Unless there's a zombie in the back and for some reason, he got himself into that mess. Kazu was also the first character I made because let's admit it, he's easy for his extravagance. Skill displayed is obvsly combat, too! Because I am cheap like that.

Variations:
Kazuma the Bookworm - my original entry except it lacked a skill. Ohsnaps.
Kazuma the Campire (Ah-ah-ah-ah-ahhh) - would have worked except he doesn't look happy in it and the vampire teeth makes him look a little campy to me. ;;


Nicolay Armitage mid-shift in the Quadrangle (that tree is a Chiolen tree, I promise) -- which is happening ICly now! Except his form there is a freak form and this is supposedly him with oh-so-much-better control over his body. Nic was a little harder to do than Kazu but I likelikelike how Nic came out. He even has his necklace! Awesomesauce. Skill displayed is morph and possibly form.

Variations:
Nic with all the food for hungry African children. Damn him. - my original entry except metabolism is technically a weakness, isn't it? And I thought it didn't display him as a Therian best. ;; Although amusing! And IC. And has his normal blue eyes.
Half-formed Nic eating Kiel's pantry and more - would have been the entry I'd submit except wtf, the pizzas are behind the tree. Way to go, physics.
Don't ask. - anyway, it looks like he's hiding behind it.

Random doll for Kazu (that is to say, I'm not submitting this because duh, it has no skill at all)! Doesn't have his face (and age) but has his style very much. I stumbled upon another doll website and decided to just play with it. I imagine the laydeez would have fun with this, though! Lady characters, that is. I'm a lady but you know.



Full view here. Website used it Lord Stevan's Aristocrat Maker but the domain has a few more styles to boot. You guys might find some use with it. ;;

Izzy can be very dramatic at times, especially with her fighting garb while showing her combat skills!

Arvee got all of Izzy's items! Even her satchel, her grandmpther's necklace, the bracelet Xanth gave to Izzy and even her cloak!

Kiel's displaying his dragon summoning (that he doesn't have yet, and also, dragons are way bigger than that wtf) and his combat with his swordybob. Shane's also there displaying her normal feline and her monkey form. Except she's bigger than the kitty there... Plus I think most of the blood on tha sword is probably Kiel's own. The messenger bag is meant to show off his speed skills.

Ack, but I just realised his hat's behind his hair. Layering ftw! I redid it because the layering on the original sucked.

The first one of Piper's not really displaying a skill, just being all "yes, I'm a vampire too!" with her new "friends" at the Crypt. I did her just for fun, hehe, but the second one is her using her fangs and her daggers (except she doesn't really use either, but shhh.) Also, Piper plushies, yay!

And Xanth's there displaying her power over teh butterflies and all things sparkly. Also, she's holding a blank doll 'cause she's about to mould it into something awesome.

But I'm ending this contest a couple of hours early because I won't be here tomorrow, sorry. (I believe everyone who's going to enter already has, though, so it should be okay. )
