Hai, so I wanted to try breaking into a quest because everyone is doing it and I want in. Unsurprisingly, Kazu is my victim of the day because the guy can at least hold up his own while Nicolay...well, idk what that kid would do.

Anyway, I chose this quest:

An engraved envelope is pinned to the billboard. A note inside, written in gilded penmanship, reads: "Rumors that miners have uncovered substantial cuts of alastis in the Mines of Kyriake have piqued my interest. Bring me back the pretty stuff, and you will be paid handsomely." It would be near-impossible to extract the gem yourself unnoticed, so you will need to find another way to get the alastis to the employer.

• Employer: Aziz Vikki ibn Doeh, Zanaryan
  
• Starting Location: The mines of Kyriake
  
• Objectives:
  
  • Locate the alastis vein inside the mine.
    
  • Acquire as much of the gem as possible, however you please.
    
  • Bring the gem to Vikki's mansion in Kyriake.

Anyone want in with a peace-loving, fashion-loving centenarian with a sword, anyway? They don't even have to tolerate vampires, the tension would be awesome. I also don't know what ol' Aziz has to say about vampires but since he's into the pretty stuffs, I figured he has enough greed to cloud his racism? >.>;;

This might come off as a little gratuitous, too, because the only way I can think of to involve Kazu in this quest if it's because of work so it's going to explore his business relationships a little and well, they can't all be smooth, can they?

Xep is a herbalist and in training to be a healer and has good first aid skills...you never know when you might need such skills on a mining expadition!

Maybe Kazu could suggest she tags along incase they need her and because it's a good chance to get to know each other more if they're gonna go into business?

I daren't hop into any more threads at the minute, but erm, I think the employer is a girl because her name's Vikki. Aziz is her rank. Her being female might affect how she interacts with you, so... yeah, I just thought I'd mention that.

Vikki is indeed a girl. One of those upstart females that's taken control for herself, in my mind at least. Of course y'all are free to RP it however you would like. I'm just posting to confirm what Emma said 'bout gender.

She and her, then! Sorry, I shall keep this in mind. ;; As well as for everything else you guys said. I like having a little background on her. Less brainwork for me on developing her!

Lith! About Xephia, I'm not sure Kazu might want her to tag along. :X I mean, OOCly, who's stopping her, right?! But Kazu himself has this way of separating business contacts unless business contact A already knows business contact B or if them knowing each other would be fruitful for the economy or something. Additionally, Kazu wouldn't want to drag anyone other than the miners down the mines with him and in my mind (or the way I want to do this), Kazu doesn't really like this job but he has to see it through so he wouldn't want anyone he knows to get involved with it.

One way I can think of is Xephia coming into contact with Vikki by herself. Then Kazu wouldn't know she'd be along (and his mood would rot a little more ;; ).

(Btw, yes, we can consider that other log finished. )

Other suggestions are totally welcome, though!

I've given it some thought and I think she'd probably sit this one out then. I can't think of any reason why she'd be involved with this Vikki character but I shall be watching this with interest

I have spare Kiel now! And he's so curious/proactive/a nuisance that I can easily get him down the mines (he's probably down there to take care of another monster-type threat). It's just a question of how they come together then.

But since Kiel has this tendency of accidentally interfering with anyone he meets, that should be a piece of cake too?

Maybe he was recommended to Vikki by the friend of a friend of a friend? Or he could have seen the ad and signed up? And got hired because he's the cheapest? ;;

Ah, I was thinking more like he's down there for another reason entirely and bumps into Kazu and somehow becomes part of his quest. 'cause he's not the business type so he has no reason to be looking for alastis (maybe if he were with Zeph, but I doubt Zeph'd trust Kiel to acquire new materials for the smithy by himself ).
