Welcome to Summer Camp 2011: a month-long series of writing challenges designed to develop not only your own characters but also the world in which they live.
Every week during the month of June, you'll be issued with a new theme, and it's up to you which of the following challenges (or both) that you enter.
Character Challenges
Character challenges are designed to help you develop your own character's background. They can be short stories, narratives, diary entries, poems or even song lyrics for your journal, or the theme of a new roleplay thread.
Challenges last one week for journal and wiki entries. Since RP threads rely on others, however, you have the full month of June to finish them — but they must be started especially for Camp.
World Challenges
World challenges should be posted in the wiki and are aimed at developing the setting. That could include anything from plants and critters to history and places, and can be related to your character or have nothing at all to do with them.**
Wiki entries don't have to be entirely new. You're welcome (and encouraged in some cases) to build on something that already exists (eg. writing up the Nubia page) as long as your contributions are substantial.
for entering all four weekly challenges,
both Character and World
ζ1,000
GRAND PRIZE #2
for entering all four weekly challenges,
either Character or World
ζ500
The above are in addition to the ζ150 awarded per entry.
Prizes will be given to the character with whom you enter each challenges. Grand Prizes, unless requested otherwise, will be shared equally among your participating characters with the trophy going to whichever character entered the most.
Entries should be 100% your own original work and designed specifically for EF.
All pages submitted to the wiki, excluding approval issues, become an acknowledged part of the EF setting. However, copyright remains with the original creator (so be sure to sign your work).
