"Hmm, I think I'll risk it. I think I prefer you when you're angry." Faith blinked at Synnove's comment, surprised. "Well that's a first. No one's ever told me that before."It's nice to know he won't run away if I get angry, then.

"He gets worse if you keep going at him, he finds it funny to get people mad at him." Usagi whispered in Faith's ear. Faith nodded, understanding Synnove's comment. So that's why he prefers me when I'm angry - because he thinks it's amusing. She made to whisper back to Usagi, but was interrupted by Synnove. "Stop whispering, I have a right to know what you're thinking as well you know."

Faith laughed, raising an eyebrow. "You have a right to know what we're thinking? Oh really? And are sure you want to know what we're thinking?" She replied.

[Synnove]

Synnove gasped and fainted dramatically.

"Don't tell me you're talking dirty. Uuurgh, I expected much more of you Faith." He said crossing his arms.

Synnove laughed and shook his head. Girls will be girls. He thought looking at Faith and Usagi.

"I think I can guess, but yes it would be nice to know." He said, finally.

[Faith]

Faith raised her eyebrows as she watched Synnove gasp dramatically, then pretend to faint. Someone obviously has a taste for theatrics she observed, before she turned her attention to what Synnove had just said: "Don't tell me you're talking dirty. Uuurgh, I expected much more of you Faith."

Faith gave a short, sharp laugh in response - though it was rather a rough, bark of a laugh. Nice, Faith, real lady-like she thought, before remembering that she didn't care about being unseemly. She considered what to tell Synnove as he went on to say "I think I can guess, but yes it would be nice to know." . She toyed with the idea of teasing him right back, in going along with the pretence that they had been talking dirty, but she decided against it. It sounds like he genuinely wants to know, she thought, and so replied: "You know, just girl stuff. Usagi's just filling me in on you actually, seeing as I don't know all that much yet. Aaaand... I'm just returning the favour, telling her what I think about you." She hesitated, then added, with a smile. "Don't worry. It's good stuff."

[Synnove]

"Don't worry. It's good stuff."

"That's good, 'cause if it wasn't good stuff I'd be the one doing the biting." He said, laughing.

Synnove plucked some grass from the ground and knotted them together. He could hear some music in the distance, looking up he could see brightly colored balloons and streamers hung up. Wonder what's going on. He stood up and stared into the dtsance. He could see people standing in groups by rides. A carnival? He thought.

"Hey, you guys. I think there's a carnival or something over there. Wanna check it out?"

[Faith]

Faith laughed along with Synnove at his first comment. "You should have been the vampire - you seem to have a liking for biting." She remarked, and was suddenly sombered by the thought of biting into people's throats. She looked at the ground, downcast, unconsciously biting down on her thumb with one of her fangs. She hissed as she felt the pain of her fang pentrating the skin, and withdrew her thumb, shaking off the blood.

"Hey, you guys. I think there's a carnival or something over there. Wanna check it out?" Faith looked up at Synnove, who was now standing up, looking into the distance. Following his gaze, she too noted the gathering on the far side of the park. I hadn't even noticed that was there she thought before getting up and replying.

"Sure, sounds like fun. I haven't been to one of those in years." Faith brushed herself off - she had been covered in grass - and turned back to look at Usagi. "I'm up for it. How about you, Usagi?"

[Usagi]

"I'm up for it. How about you, Usagi?"

Usagi looked up and listened to the noise and music coming from the carnival. There must be a lot of people there. She thought. Usagi stood up and nodded.

"I haven't been to a carnival before, guess there's a first time for everything." She said, smiling. "Lead the way."

[Faith]

"I haven't been to a carnival before, guess there's a first time for everything. Lead the way." Faith blinked in surprise when she heard Usagi mention that she hadn't ever been to a carnival. She smiled back at Usagi, reassuring her: "Carnivals are great fun. I'm sure you'll find something there that will interest you."

Assuming the others would follow, Faith set off in the direction of the carnival. She spotted a glint of glitter and, intruiged as to what kind of stall it might be, decided to head there first. "How about that stall over there? The glittery one - it looks like it's covered in pictures. Nearing the stall, she added in delight, "Oh, it's a tattoo stall! Temporary, but still... I've been wanting to get another tattoo for ages. I'm going to get one, I think." And that said, she left the main park area of Central Park and approached the carnival's tattoo stall.

[Faith]

Faith walked briskly into the park, having just emerged from the portal. She looked around for signs of the carnival - but couldn't see anything. Damn it, it's gone. So that means Usagi and Synnove are probably gone, too. She kicked angrily at the grass, then moved over to a nearby bench, sitting down heavily. " :X ." She cursed vehemently. She looked around again, trying to spot them; her eyes eventually fell on the spot were they had all sat and talked just before going to the carnival. Maybe if I wait there, they'll find me. She thought, and made her way over.

Sitting down on the wet grass, she looked around and, once sure no one was watching, took out her Dirk. She twirled it in her hands idly for a while, then picked up a nearby stick and started to whittle away at it randomly whilst looking out for Usagi or Synnove. When she looked down at it after a while, she was surprised to see she had unconsciously whittled it into the shape of a wooden stake. Well isn't that ironic she thought, smirking, before throwing it away into the bushes. She wondered whether the contact details she had given Synnove would be any good. If only I hadn't had to leave so suddenly. She thought as she waited a little longer.

[Usagi]

"You don't think she was pretending do you? I mean, I could've said something to upset her or something."

"I don't think so, she probably was feeling a little hungry." Usagi replied. "Hey Syn, I want to show you something."

Without waiting for a reply, Usagi began making her way back to the cluster of trees they had been sitting in before leaving for the carnival. I just hope he won't be too shocked. She thought. She spotted a figure sitting there already and was about to turn away, when she saw her familiar face.

"Faith!" She exclaimed, running towards her.

She plopped down beside Faith and smiled.

[Faith]

"Faith!" Faith looked up when she heard her name being called, and grinned as she saw Usagi running towards her. She put her Dirk away and smiled back at Usagi when she sat down. "Hi! I was worried I wouldn't be able to find you guys again." She pushed her hair back as she looked for Synnove, her heart racing again at the thought of seeing him. Woah, have I got it bad. Whatever it is. She wanted to leap up and kiss him again, but thought against it and so stayed put.

I suppose I owe them a proper explanation. She looked down at the ground, and ran her tongue over her fangs, which were still slightly wet with blood. "I'm sorry I left. But I didn't think I was able to resist attacking someone. I felt like I needed blood desperately, and I wouldn't have been able to control myself any longer. It's this vampire thing, it's just..." Surprised, she felt tears -zap- the corners of her eyes in her frustration. She looked away so they wouldn't be able to see.

"Still, I'm glad to see you guys again." She said sincerely, smiling at them.

[Synnove]

"I don't think so, she probably was feeling a little hungry. Hey Syn, I want to show you something."

Synnove nodded and followed Usagi through the park. He was a little surprised when she led him back to the small wooded area where they were sitting before they left for the carnival. What could be that interesting in there? He thought.

"Faith!"

Faith's here too? Synnove shrugged and ran after Usagi. He grinned when he saw the two girls sitting beside each other. He walked over to Faith, placing his arms under her back and knees, he picked her up and planted a kiss on her forehead.

"So how's my little temper girl doing then?"

I assume you had permission to godmod Faith.

[Faith]

Faith's smile grew to almost reach the corners of her eyes briefly as she saw Synnove approach her. Her eyes widened a little in shock as he picked her up, but the shock was quickly replaced by pleasure. She felt warm inside and her forehead tingled as he kissed it.

"So how's my little temper girl doing then?" Faith smiled, and replied, "She's doing fine, but I think she missed her bite boy." She laughed. Why the hell am I talking in third person? A voice mocked her at the back of her head; smitten, that's what you are... but she ignored it, and lay a hand on Synnove's bicep.

"Aren't you the strong one? Shame I'm not some weak damsel in distress, or we'd be the perfect fairytale couple." She said, then added, "Though I'm not too sure fairytales include vampires or shapeshifters."

(OCC:Yeah, Synnove has permission to godmod Faith (I suppose we should put that in our signatures?), and she has permission to godmod Synnove, which she did in this post, I think.))

[Usagi]

Usagi shook her head and laughed when Synnove lifted Faith. She felt a pang of jealousy as her brother kissed Faith, shaking her head, she scolded herself mentally. What's the matter with you? You should be happy for them.

"But I am." She whispered quietly.

She drew her cloak closer to her and chewed her lip. She felt different; she felt something she had never felt before. What's happeneing to me? She looked up at the couple and the feeling rushed through her again. She shook her head vigorously. No, I'm just being silly. She thought uncertainly.

[Synnove]

Synnove laughed and placed Faith down next to Usagi.

"Then we would have to be our own kind of fairytale couple the, shant we?" He said, winking.

He glanced at Usagi, raising an eyebrow when she shook her head. So I was right then. He thought. She's finally opened herself up. He sighed and kneeled down infront of Usagi.

"Yuu, please don't hate me. It's your time." He whispered.

He stood up and turned to Faith.

"I gotta go somewhere now, see you later Faith." He said. He resisted kissing Faith again, incase he hurt Usagi. Giving Faith an I'll-explain-later look, he ran off.

[Faith]

"I gotta go somewhere now, see you later Faith." Faith looked after Synnove as he ran, confused. That was.. weird. Like he suddenly didn't want to be here anymore. Did I do something? Trusting Synnove to explain later, she ignored her thoughts and turned to Usagi. She smiled at her, but faltered a little when she saw that Usagi looked a little uneasy. "Are you OK, Usagi?" She asked, plucking at the grass. "You look a little unhappy."

[Usagi]

"Yuu, please don't hate me. It's your time."

Usagi felt uneasy. She twitched and kept twirling the grass in her fingers. I'm going mad she thought. She shook her head again and leant against the rough bark.

"Are you OK, Usagi? You look a little unhappy."

"I don't know; I feel...different."

[Faith]

"I don't know; I feel...different." Faith uneasily ran her tongue over a fang, thinking. Different? What does she mean by that? What would have made her feel different? Faith sighed, idly looking out across the park. She watched as people rushed around, busy with their normal lives. She looked away, wondering if her life would ever resemble her old one again, then flicked her eyes back to Usagi, still curious as to what could be wrong.

Could it be... is she unhappy about me and Synnove? Hmm.. maybe. But she seemed OK about it before. Ugh, I'm no good at this consoling thing. She looked up, eyes flashing, suddenly angry at herself. Well, she's my friend. If I can help her, I should. I shouldn't be moaning about not being good at it.

She turned to Usagi, and asked, "What do you mean, you feel different? Bad different?"

[Usagi]

Usagi plucked a flower and brought it to her nose. Closing her eyes, she inhaled the aroma. She felt herself drift off; the smell of pollen always made her sleepy. She saw a light mist float into her mind - it reseambled a female wolf. The 'wolf' mist began running and drifting, almost as if it were dancing. Then, another mist appeared, but this one took on the shape of a human. He held the wolf's paw and began taking her away. No! Usagi screamed, mentally. The sound of Faith's voice bought her back to reality.

"What do you mean, you feel different? Bad different?"

"I don't know, it was sort of like when I saw him at the lake, but different."

[Faith]

Faith sighed in exasperation, running a hand through her hair. What does she mean, "when I saw him at the lake"? "You're not making a whole lot of sense." She told Usagi, looking at her hard. "Do you think you could be ill? Or maybe it's some weird shifter thing. Like levelling up or something." She didn't like to admit it to herself, but Faith was a little worried. What if she really is ill? She does look kind of haggard...

[Usagi]

Usagi retraced her footsteps from that day at the lake. She hadn't levelled up then, nor was she ill, just a little tired. But, right now she wasn't at all tired, just confused and 'different'.

"I don't think so. It's been so long, I really don't know."
