So, I was writing something about an Iron Maiden and how it might power an evil deity...

It seems like Elysia is primarily populated with Xanth, the good, and ... well, everything else.
I thought it might be interesting to have a source of evil in the realm? I know that there is Abdiriz and Danae but neither of them strike me as a "pure fiery-hellish evil demon-spawn". I saw some threads about an event to kill a giant scorpion...

o___O
Thoughts?

Ah, I missed this, sorry. :o

I would like to have more of a duality here. It's tough because the background for the Tanakheimein (gods) means that Xanth can be the only actual deity for Elysia (Abdiriz really would be the hellspawn and fire demon type if he ever found out where his daughter was lol). She literally created Elysia, Zanarya and Nirim; Danae created Acantha and a few rocks that don't support life; Abdiriz has a whole network of planets he created somewhere... and the creators of these planets have to constantly funnel energy into them (this is how the elementals came into existence, but they're not on the same level as the Tanakheimein in terms of godliness and were scattered across Xanth's realms to stop them destroying her worlds...).

I think there's plenty of room for villains without using gods, though. Or, like, false gods, maybe, like how the Sect of the Dragon believes that Dimitri (who was actually a demi-god) will return. Criminal groups, people who just like to kill, etc... It's just a case of actually adding them to the wiki and stuff, and I personally kind of suck at the bad guys. ¬_¬ Though I have tried to make an in-road with Faust's gang (once I write him up for the plot (: ).
