This is just to let you all know that I've signed us up for Mystic Moon Hosting today. I'm not sure if there'll be time to post again before the transfer begins or exactly how long EF will be unavailable. However, unless I hear otherwise, it will probably be best to not post again until the transfer is complete.

I'll try to keep you updated via our Twitter feed in the meantime. :)

Well, I haven't heard from Becky yet, but with the New Year weekend, this may take longer than originally expected. In the meantime, I think it's safe to keep posting and I'll take another back-up once I hear from Becky. :)

I sent Becky an email today to make sure she got my order. There may have been a problem with Paypal at my end, but I haven't received the welcome message yet so I'm not sure how much longer this will take.

I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience this is causing, guys. Once we've moved, EF will get back on track and I can roll out some of the contests and events that I've been planning!

We're on the new host now. :) I'm sorry to say that we have lost a couple of posts in the transition, but hopefully they weren't too vital.

Hip hip horrah!
As a BIG added plus, the website is now loading about 2/3 faster than it was before.

AND my ping is showing that we are twice as fast as google as far as contacting the server goes. (But we have a lot of stuff on our webpages so it takes some milliseconds to load).

Performance is a feature - and we have it as a bigger, better feature!

I'm sorry to say the migration hasn't gone as smoothly as I'd thought, after all. I just tried posting with Kiel in Frightful and got a 403 Forbidden error message (but obviously I just posted this so it's only an intermittent fault). The same is happening with a few pages on the wiki, though not all - and obviously some of you can post on the forums just fine, so it's not a global error.

I've submitted a support ticket, and I'll let you know when it's fixed. In the meantime, I'll keep my fingers crossed that none of you have trouble posting. X

Well, it seems like that problem's fixed. I've edited the Prize Shop and managed to post in Frightful with Kiel. :D
