So that it's easier on me when reviewing applications, I ask that all members use this template when posting a new character's initial profile. (You can pretty it up and elaborate as much as you like once the application has been approved and moved to Journals, as long as all the pertinent information is intact.) If you have any questions, don't hesitate to PM me or post in the Help & Feedback board. Please use third-person past-tense.

Applications should be posted in the Characters board. They will be moved to Journals once approved. ^^

Naming your characters:

Your account display name should be your character's given name, whether that is their actual name or an alias. (For instance, if your character is called "Ezekiel Taskel" and goes by the name "Kiel", your account display name should be "Kiel".)

I strongly encourage you to choose names that fit your character's culture and background, so be sure to check the Naming Conventions section of their racial profile.

Race, Class and Specialty:

You can find out more about the individual races, classes and specialties on the wiki. For the application, you would list whichever you have chosen for your character (eg. "Bonded Rutilus Dracovarian" for a Bonded Summoner who belongs to the Rutilus Sept). However, not all classes and specialties are available with Starter Packs (eg. the Summoner specialty for Dracovari requires 5 skill upgrades spent in Sept skills first), so you only need to write down the ones you can claim for and then add the rest later.

Age:

Characters get 5 free skill upgrades which must be spent during the application process, so they should be in the Young Adult age band or older.

First Impressions: What will people be able to notice about your character at first glance? (Things like what visible weaponry they're carrying, what type of clothes they tend to wear, really noticable features, etc.)

Distinguishing Features: Tattoos, dyed hair, scars, jewellery/accessories worn, etc. If an Anyeli/Zanaryan Vampire, remember to include about the damage done to their wings.

Play-by or Description: If you don't have a play-by, please describe your character's general appearance (posture, overall appearance, typical expression, physical habits, fashion choices, voice, etc). You can include both if your character's description differs from the base play-by, but make sure face claims are appropriate.

You can either list key aspects of their personality or describe it in paragraph format. You can combine personality with history if you like.

B A C K G R O U N D

Name: If your character is Zanaryan, you should only give their short name (given name ibn father's name) at the top, and then provide the full version here. (It doesn't have to be huge if you don't want to explore their background that much.) If your character goes by an alias at the top, please give the character's real full name. Otherwise, delete this field.
Birthdate: In XA if Elysian, ZT if Zanaryan, or AD if from Earth.
Date of Infection: Delete if not a vampire.
Original Species: Delete if not a vampire.
Secondary Species: Delete if not a hybrid.
Hometown: Where were they born and raised? Optional.
Financial Status: How wealthy/poor are they? Has this changed since childhood (ie, the daughter of a wealthy merchant striking out on her own)?

Clan|House|Commune|Coven|Division|Tribe: Delete as needed, then put the name (eg. "Clan: Sullivan"). Clan for Therians and Mystriders, House or Great House for Zanaryans, Commune for Nymphs, Coven for Vampires, military Division for Anyeli or Tribe for Malaki. Delete if your character is affiliated with none of these.
Marital Status: Is your character hand-fasted, mated, lifemated, married, in a relationship, etc?

Please note that significant personal NPCs (such as children over the age of five) should have a profile on the wiki.

Skill Master: Optional. Your character's skill instructor. Can be PC or NPC. Can have more than one for multiple skill types.
Boss|Master: Optional. Only include if they work for the same person/people all the time. A boss is just a boss, but a Master is someone to whom the character is an apprentice or journeyman (such as with a craft or trade), which could be a relative or other.

Organisations: List any organisations or groups to whom your character is affiliated or a member (such as religious cults, mercenary gangs, etc) and the rank (if applicable) your character holds with them (eg. Knight-Captain of the Hesian Knights).
