How did you start with your world, Xanith? Was there ever a time when there was more added?
What did you do about it in-game? I don't think towns and cities just poof here!
I love your concept, and your site is so well organized! I love it.

[?] How did you start out? More of a curiosity thing.

Hello, Ghostflowers. Welcome to EF!
Ohhhh, you're asking something now. We started out really small. Originally, the Elysian Fields were on Earth and non-humans were hiding in pockets of uncivilised land. The races were really simple and we had a level system based on post count. Over time, the species and the setting just evolved. I've tried to incorporate things that people have come up with for individual characters into the racial traits. Members have contributed tons of lore, too, so we've just built and built on each others' ideas.
You're right, things don't just "poof" into existence. If we add something new OOC, we pretend it's always been there. For certain things, we'll try to introduce them through plots or as new discoveries, but yeah, most of it is a case of "yeah, that village was always there, we just never talked about it before". Our setting is big enough that characters can go their whole lives without hearing about a commune in the far north, for instance, so it's not that far-fetched. And for everything else, there's mastercard we just gloss over it a bit.
I hope you consider joining us. The more the merrier!
