The Marriage of Mahir

"My son was to be wed tomorrow morn. It is a political marriage of House Mahdi to Great House Qadir and it is vital that we not insult his fiancé. Yet, when I approached his room this morning to begin the pre-wedding rituals, he was gone! This spells disaster for Mahdi! If we cannot find him and return him for the wedding tomorrow, Khalik ibn Haik will have no choice but to end negotiations with our family in order to defend his daughter's honour. Surayya is such a pretty thing; how can Mahir do this to us? We already risk so much holding the wedding here in Elysia instead of in the homeland, and it seems the freedoms of your people have gone to his head. Oh, please find him and return him before my husband discovers his betrayal!"

So...yeah. Alain's Dracovarian, I know, but when I saw that Pchan doing another quest by herself as I headed off to work, one of my weird ideas sprouted. I know, they emerge a lot. So, like, this will require permission before I can actually claim taroch dunge.

Okay. Now to finally explain. First off, timing doesn't really matter here. It can be before or after the meeting with Jericho, as I doubt Alain&Jericho's thread would be the day before what they're planning anyway. I'll let that suit whatever Faris's timeline currently has going on. And to actually get into the meat of things, I was thinking that maybe one of the Mahdi members might actually want/try to sabotage things, as they despise the Great House Qadir. Especially this marriage. That's not to say they actually have done something yet, as I don't want to disrupt too far of any existing backstory here. :X Could've been secret, if so.

As a result, this person sends in a request for a specific Pet Septed Dracovarian judge, as he/she heard stories among his contacts regarding this person. Not only could anything that happened be filed as lawful due to this person, such as the murder of someone, if such a thing were to occur, but he'd also have a telepath readily available to find clues regarding Mahir's current activities. Influence on both sides, should he ally with such an individual, would definitely allow his or her's agenda to be pushed. Specificially, seperating their family from Zanarya, as Elysian society offers more, let's say, benefits.

Plenty is available to change, I just figured I'd throw that out there, as it seemed (and still does, to me) fairly interesting. Of course, it opens what is potentially one player actually counteracting or aiding the actions of another either directly or indirectly (preferrably the former, as it'd be boring to RP with NPC the whole time for two different people), but we'll see how that plays out, won't we?
