Rumour: A murderer has just reached his second murder in Hesia, particularly a child killer. His modus operandi would only be known to members of law enforcement, as the bodies have yet to be publicly discovered. Officials only have and released the detail that the suspect is a man with long and unruly black hair, with no facial features of mention yet.

Oh, and I'm completely BSing this next part/making it on the fly, so anyone who wants to call me out on something that doesn't seem right, feel free. For law enforcement (there has yet to be a bounty placed on the man, until further identification of suspect's features can be made. aka, no one wants mass "arrests"):

Both bodies have been marked with several bite marks on their body, suggesting either cannibalism or vampirism in the killer. The first body found was a homeless child, a mere street rat, who also seemed to be forcefed blood and flesh from a few cuts on her body. Likely imprisoned in a nearby location, so searches have begun near the area she was found at.

Cause of death: Puncture wound to the heart caused by an item of unknown origin. The size and depth of the wound suggests that the killer had murdered the child quickly, though the reason for this murder is unknown.

Some say the blood on the mouth might be the cause of alarm of a vampire being the killer, but this work could also easily be that of a strange fetishist involving flesh consumption with blood as a secondary aspect.

As for the second child, this one was actually dead before the homeless child, kidnapped, in fact. Body suggests signs of torture from numerous cuts or bites and far longer imprisonment than the first found victim. The body was dumped almost a mile from suspected location of the region of the second victim's imprisonment, so that would be the second region to do a search for any evidence.

Cause of Death: Excessive blood loss.

Note: This is more of a hidden quest, meaning there is no material reward, though it'd be nice to make a literal bounty reward if this guy continues. The nice guy side of me says I hope he doesn't, while the side that wants to spread the love-*cough* money*cough* says he should.

Note 2: Every week to week and a half I will update this rumour both sides of information as to what the public rumour is regarding this guy, and what the law enforcement knowledge is currently at. Also note that a player MAY completely leak that information.

(OOC: This is viewable on COMs, right? If so, this would be law enforcement or cabal members. As THC has not been approved yet, I'm keeping it as vague as it's alias, which could be much of anything, really.

POSSIBLE LINK IN THE CHILD KILLINGS AND KIDNAPPINGS

Before elaborating on this topic, I first must report that this afternoon two children were reported missing by their parents. One is a human child named James Upton, age seven, who went missing very close to the region we under watch today for further kidnappings. The other child is an adopted Anyeli child named Kalypso Galanos, thirty-five years old, who apparently caused an small scene at the docks that was looked over as perhaps an issue with a guardian. During this time, she was last seen with a pale man who looked about thirty-two, with short black hair parted from the left side of his head, according to an anonymous witness. While this contradicts another statement regarding the killer, this might be the same man. It is unknown if the man was a vampire or not, though, so it'd be much appreciated if the Hesian Cabal could continue their ongoing assistance.

Ooh! Can we plot?

I've wanted to reintroduce my vampire character, Remy, back into the game. She is part of the Espur cabal. But if something vampire-y has been feeding on children, which we might assume is taboo even in vampire standards, I think Espur can loan Remy to Hesia on the grounds of preventing the situation from becoming another vampire hunt.

Oooooo foreign vampire coming in to Hesia. Hesia's vampire cabal isn't going to like it one bit. I think the Ruby Claw is going to step on a couple of toes by sending Remy over (ooooo tension +_+) (and to paraphrase a certain line from a certain movie, One does not simply send an already-affiliated vampire into Hesia)

PS. I'm volunteering this girl for plottage as well! *points to Argyris*

Plotting should be fine —unless I screwed up with something in the intro lore-wise >< -- especially bringing in relatively unused chars. lol Though understand my actual character wouldn't be too involved in this, unfortunately. It'll be more me offering NPC input while any participants in the search came around, and good to know you already have basis on the idea for how/why she'd be there. Just gotta question if this might rile up group spats. ._. I also how her investigation would go for the time, maybe even meeting Argyris via vampire connections/some sort of agreement due to personal reasons? :X Unless the Ruby Claw had some sneaky access to Hesia's guard information and have something to gain (i.e the target being one of theirs)

Haha, admittedly, I am just keeping any plans maellable. I merely want to do something that might stir up some trouble with several groups. That said, if some more plotting is to happen, I'm not sure this is the place to do so, given this is rumour land. ;(

Yarp, you'd be better off creating a thread in the Plotting Board to discuss details of threads based on the rumour, this section's just for updating/creating rumours themselves. And then maybe link to that thread (as well as whatever RP threads come about) as part of the updates.

I dunno if you meant the "rile up group rivalries" thing as a potentially bad outcome, but I'd love more tension between guilds and cities, so I say go for it if that's the case!

Thanks, and nah, I wanted to stir up things a little. More that I created this on a whim, more than anything, though. lol
