First Impressions: Even though Fahim is permanently dressed to the nines, it doesn't even take a cursory glance over him to see that those nines are well past their hay-day. His suit was obviously cobbled together decades ago, and whilst it is still going strong, it is looking a little shabby to say the least. It has been ripped and patched over multiple times in a whole range of interesting colour and material combinations, with the fraying edges looking more like some sort of exotic lace trim than the moth eaten mess that they actually are. Aside from his travel stained coat and tails and batterd tophat Fahim is adorned with a bevy of clutter ranging from a whole hoard of jewellery attached to every conceivable part of his person through various feathers he has picked up on his travels to some rather ominous looking skulls attached to an ominous looking collection of what seems to be finger bones (but lets not peer to closely at that).Despite his well travelled attire and slightly odd collection of ornaments Fahim carries himself with an easy confidence and arrogance that can't really be faked, wafting his twisted cane around like he owns the place.

Distinguishing Features: If his massive black wings and somewhat unusual ensemble weren't enough to get him noticed in Elysia, the massive tattoos twisting out from beneath his clothes certainly would.

Fahim was born the fourth of five children to the fairly standard Zanaryan couple Imam and Nadia Zahir. As the youngest male in the competative Zanaryan family it is fairly unsurprising that he was pushed on the backburner slightly in order to favour his older siblings.

Akim, the eldest, held a stately attitude and cunning which manifested itself from his early years. Many would say that he was born to be a politician, and indeed, the grace and finesse he held himself with grew with his ever bloating head. He ran many a scheme in his youth, often resulting in blame being passed to Fahim or one of the other brothers if matters didn't quite run according to plan. He is currently married to a trophy wife with a high profile family who is expecting her second child. He has already proven himself in the political field and looks set to continue his climb to the top of the pile.

Jabril and Rafiq were born the closest together of the five and are most similar in attitude and aptitude. Hot headed and gung ho, Jabril is the bruiser of the two, whilst Rafiq is more calculating and graceful in his fighting style. They are the fighters of the family who have moved on to join the Zanaryan army and achieve great things in their respective elements of fire and earth. Rafiq married young and is expecting a third child with his beautiful wife, whilst Jabril has only fathered one child with his rather more recent spouse.

Fahim was always closest to his sister growing up. Raniya has always been rather more feisty and opinionated than a Zanaryan female is supposed to be (much to the disapproval of her parents) and his relationship with her is probably the reason he has been unable to find a suitable mate as he wants more than the classic Zanaryan wife who is seen but most definately not heard.

Whilst growing up Fahim was always the more bookish and studious of the five, actively going and seeking out the book keeper of his Fathers Shrine Lord whilst he was still young, so by the time he was old enough to swear fealty to Lord Ciro Fahim was already a common visitor to the clan library. The Djinni book keeper, Kimir, was a kindly fellow, elderly and a little unpredictable at times, but he was grateful for the young Zanaryans company and help. Fahim was a good student who really took to the Zanaryan scrollmaking as well as more traditional bookbinding that he was introduced to. After swearing fealty to Lord Ciro Fahim continued his lessons with Kimir as well as learning to mainpulate the element of air. He was a fair student, but it was clear right from the get go that the books were where his talent lay.

After studying for a number of years Fahim proved himself to be quite adept at both his element and the bookbinding, however, on his way up the temple steps after a rather over indulgent night out he slipped and fell through a portal into Elysia. Having grown bored with the same routine he decided that this was the perfect exuse to go travelling and made a name for himself as a travelling bookbinder. His first few encounters with Elysians were interesting to say the least, but he soon learnt who best to approach in terms of plying a successful trade and how best to go about doing so. He currently makes himself a fairly solid living from this and still drops back into Zanarya to continue lessons in his element, though not nearly as regularly he possibly should.
