Oh yes he did. XD

Rahil is subjecting himself to a major threat atm, all in hopes of supporting a Cause that he is just realizing might not be entirely backed by his own family. Of course, whether this succeeds or not won't really matter for him (beyond a personal level), as he won't be able to return home as things stand. And submitting himself to Elysian life naturally? As if. Uppity noble Zanaryan and all.

I'll try to be a bit more detailed later, when my brain isn't friend from working so dang much, although it'd be great to plot a bit. As I mentioned, this could really go any way. Although I'd like to state right now that if this does take off, it'd be nice to keep Na'im alive for the ride, as he has his own plans to make with Danae (off-screen, I don't want to reveal too much too soon ;( )

Note that later on anyone is free to join in on this. I doubt Faris or Zozeko would be too pleased by this happening should they find out (and they totally could with Alim's foolishness), especially not the latter.

I'll try to post Danae for you asap. (btw, you can change a topic title. When you edit, click on "use full editor" and you should be able to get at the topic title and description boxes. ;) )

Zeko most definitely doesn't want the portal closed. He likes his freedom, and he wouldn't willingly go back to Zanarya because that way lies responsibility, but if he was cut off from his homeland he'd have a hissy fit. And would probably go quickly mad because he'd have too much freedom. He's the kind of Zan who carefully straddles a very fine line between pride in his culture and nationality and all that jazz versus laziness and lack of ambition. (:

I might be able to get Jeri in this thing, too. He's a merchant, and I expect he'll be much more ambitious and arrogant now that he's "led those morons to safety through thick and thin". He also doesn't have Rusty to make him feel bad with the puppy eyes now (Nin is a great bodyguard but can be kinda cold), so there's no one to hold him back from the darker and more illegal opportunities any more. :o I was planning to have him approach Faris and Rahil as a merchant trying to get his claws into the Zanaryan trade, so if he finds out "someone" is trying to get the portal closed, he'll be inclined to help stop it. (I'm not talking about proactive stuff her, just lending financial and logistical support, passive sort of "help". XD) He'd also be good, I think, at throwing a spanner in Rahil's works by upsetting their own supply routes if they have them, and they could squabble over allies. >D

Sorry for taking so long, got sucked into Dragon Age: Origins for a day or so. :P

This'll pretty much affect any business/political/Zanaryan category chars, including my other character, so I can imagine that if it gets leaked, it'll be quite the race against time. Of course, I plan for Rahil to be screwed either way. Na'im is plotting, and even if Rahil succeeds he'd be stuck in a world that despises him (hence the neccessity of getting to know Acantha better). He didn't exactly help his chances in Neluna yet either, unconscious or not.

As for my post, I tried to give plenty of reply to, both dialogue and mentally. I'll leave what those images in his head are to you, whether you want them to be of his own slightly insane mind. Danae rubbing off on him a bit, perhaps. :P Though Danae is mad in an entirely different sense, most of the time. As for the portals...still didn't want to go out of my own territory there. I read up a bit, but still can't go too technical. Or can I? ;)

Ehehehehe, DA is fun. :3

Don't worry about getting too technical! :D If there's ever anything wrong, I'll just PM you to let you know, but a lot of the time the world evolves and develops from ideas the members come up with, not my own. ;) Portals are kind of lacking in information, some of which is stuff only the gods know so hasn't been a priority for getting it written down (like that they can't just be destroyed). With Danae's help and the years of study they've put in, though, the Zanaryans may well have begun to at least theorise on how to manipulate them or block them somehow. To be honest, I haven't put much thought into the science behind them beyond the limitations and that they require huge amounts of energy, so we can cross all the bridges as we get to them. (:

The thing with Alim saying they know how the portals work, I used that as an opportunity for Danae to get mad, and the imagery in Rahil's head may serve to pique his curiosity enough to let them stick around for a bit. >D

Too bad for Rahil, that his writer wasn't nice enough to give him more than his technique to calm himself. :P

Alim lives! For now. Someone in the group will have to be alive to stop more of the ants from pestering Danae, unless he wants his own farm swarming Acantha. Too bad for the Zans in the Temple, though, as they are unaware that Danae can't actually disable the portal. At least, so far, since that was in Danae's thoughts. He could have them go off doing whatever he wanted for nothing in return.

"We've given all of the Malaki scrub baths, Sir, as you've asked, along with challenging the Mystriders to a three legged race in a pit of alligators." <- totally expecting it to be over

"Oh, yes, I forgot to tell you...there is no way to close your precious portal."

Zans: ">O!"

I think he'd find that amusing. So it's hard to decide whether that would be in character or just dreadful "side questing" to write out. I'll leave that decision to you. As usual, just lemme know if you want any slight edits to make something easier to respond to. I believe I left enough, but I've been proven wrong on that account before. :P

Indeed lol

Did you have anything in mind for them going after the vosa? Atm I'm just logically ruling that they should ask the Mystriders for help and probably encounter the Malaki in there, since from the description, it sounds like the Malaki would be eager to get some supplies from the region after the recent battle ruined/eliminated some of the warriors in a few tribes.

Nah, I didn't really have any plans for it, just something to send them on a bit of a goose chase, really. XD The vosa and kizi are up, though, here and here. :3
