First Impressions: First and foremost, the most noticable feature on Despot's effeminate face is that his eyes are always covered by a dyed, silk bandage. Though blond hair is not uncommon in modern Anyeli, Despot’s hair is distinctive. A wheat blond in color, his hair waves down to his waist. He adorns this full, lovely hair with thin braids, wood beads and feathers, giving him a very tribal appearance. His clothes never seem to follow the latest fashions. He wraps himself in formal silk robes, ageless and elegant, always matching the bandage over his eyes. His wings span almost ten feet, and are the purest of snow white.
Distinguishing Features: Beyond his wings and his odd style choices, Despots most distinguishing feature is the silk bandage across his eyes. This is because he cannot open his eyelids, and even if he did, there would be no eyes behind them. Born with a rare mutation, Despot has no eyes, and has never seen light, color, dimension or proportion.
Description: Despot stands at a medium height of five foot seven inches. Under his loose, draping silk robes, he wears a white cotton tunic and pants. Below the light clothing, his body is thin and lithe, almost female in nature. His waist is small, his shoulders brought tightly in and his hips slightly extended. Despot’s legs are long, over dainty feet. His arms are long and thin, with delicate hands, topped with long, rounded nails. His face is heart shaped, with a delicately pointed chin and soft, round features, all placed atop a long, thin neck. His right ear is pierced, only once, through which he wears silver or gold ear threads, with a stone that matches his outfit dangling just below his chin. He is often confused for a woman at first glance. Upon hearing his soft yet deep voice though, it is clear he is male, though perhaps a very feminine one. His skin is fair and soft, smooth and blemish –free.
Despot is the least threatening Anyeli one can possibly come across. He stands openly, wings folded in a relaxed nature, with a gentle smile on his lips at all times. He moves with the grace of an angel, but with careful precision, as if he has memorized every inch of the ground below his feet. When he walks it is not uncommon for him to reach out in front of him harmlessly, looking for objects. His set of colorful robes were a gift from a wealthy man he helped when traveling to Alexshire. He treats them with the utmost respect, and goes to great lengths to care for them.
P E R S O N A L I T Y
Despot is a kind and gentle man. Forthright and true to his heart, Despot is always honest. He goes out of his way to aid others, and cares for those in need perhaps more than he should. He laughs and smiles genuinely, and loves with all his heart.
However, he is meticulous about organization. Everything he owns is marked with a label of some kind with a lifted marking that remains unique in his mind so that he can always know what he’s touching.
He enjoys learning, but since he is incapable of reading the few books available, all his knowledge is learned first-hand. A genuinely curious man, he tends to ask a lot of questions about his patients, keeping them calm while he heals them.

H I S T O R Y
9795 XA Despot was born with no eyes. His parents, who were Peacemaker Apali, both, decided that they would raise him a healer, as they were. His father immediately began to research blindness in his free time in an attempt to help his only son adapt.
9860 XA Despot began basic training as a healer. No magic training, but basic herbal knowledge and first aid information was taught to him.
9995 XA Despot dyed his wings white and took his position among the Apali for a short while. During his ten years as a Peacekeeper, he trained with his father extensively in healing, but very little in any elemental work. Both were under the impression that a blind man who could not actually comprehend light would have little use for its power.
10005 XA Despot left the Anyeli Empire to move into the Alexshire region and begin his own work in Alexandria. During his travels, he encountered a man on the side of the road, bleeding and unable to walk. Despot, hearing his cries for help, ran to his aid. After healing the man, he was told that the man was a Lord whose carriage had been attacked on his way from Alexshire. The bandits had only taken the coin he was carrying and rushed off. He offered Despot a set of six colorful silk robes as a token of his gratitude. Despot gladly took them, and now wears them over his usual attire.

Description: Despot’s home is a small, studio-style unit on the second floor of an Insula. Made up of one, scarcely furnished room that includes his bathroom and kitchen toward the back, Despot has managed to make minor adjustments to make the most of his limited space. In the back corner is a door that leads to a set of stairs into the shop space below his studio.

Address: 89 Carriage Road, Unit 1-7, Alexandria
Description: This shop space is included in his costs, acting as a replacement for a full living room and second bedroom in cost. He uses it as a small office to conduct his healing business. At the front is a small desk and file cabinet where he keeps records of his customer’s ailments, costs and what service he provided them. To the left of that are a few comfortable chairs to sit in, and in the back, beside a table with basic first aid equipment are two small beds.

Description: Skye is a black, grey and white Merle Border Collie male with sky blue eyes. He seems to be constantly smiling, with a waggling tail until he goes on his leash. When his lead is placed on him he seems to transform into a serious dog, knowing that it means it’s time for him to work. Skye is a trained seeing eye dog, who leads Despot around when he leaves his home.

Item: Hand Crafted Staff
Description: Though the heirloom rarely leaves its place within his home, Despot does have what looks to be a mage's staff. Though on it's own it has no magical abilities, it was once used more as a centering device for the energies required to preform magic. Made from the heavy branch of an elderly dogwood tree, the staff is topped with an unusually large orb of moonstone. It is unknown how the piece was acquired by Despot's family, but it has been passed down to the first born son for as long as anyone can remember. Despot was given the gift when he joined the Apali.
MISCELLANEOUS | MUNDANE
Item: First Aid Kit
Description: Used for minor injuries in order to keep from over extending his energy. The items in this kit help prevent infection: thorough cleaning supplies, basic wound dressings, a stitching set for minor cuts and basic fever and pain reducers.
Item: Silk Robe and Sash Sets
Description: Six sets of colorful silk robes, which Despot wears over his clothes. They each came with matching sashes to tie the robes shut, but Despot uses them to cover his eyes. There is one in each of the six main colors: red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet.

- Transform him, within reason. Please discuss specifics with me first.
- Torture him, again within reason. You MUST discuss this situation with me first, with specifics. No random “oh by the way, I tore his arm off”. Remember, I have to keep playing him once you’re done with him.
- Injure him, within reason. Message me for specifics, please. There are certain things I’d prefer were NOT done to him.
For all of these situations, I must be actively involved in the thread.
You may NOT:
- Kill him. I’m quite fond of him. When/if I’m ready for him to die, you can feel free to ask to do it though.
- Control him without my express permission. Those who would like permission to control him in a situation must discuss specifics with me first and abide by my permissions.

- EXTREME violence takes place.
- Things get hot and heavy in the bedroom. I am perfectly okay with taking it to PMs at that point if it pleases you to do so, but in the rules it asks to fade to black, so that is what I ask you do in threads with me. Note that if you are NOT of legal age in your country, I will NOT PM the continuation with you.
Note that I reserve the right to change these permissions at ANY time without any warning. This is my character and as he develops and proceeds to either annoy me or make me love him more, I may be more keen to certain situations than I am now. If you message me for a situation and I say I’d rather not allow that, please respect my wishes, as I will do the same for you.
