As soon as he mentioned Zephyr, Nymphadora's face hardened. She was still to angry at him to do that. And she wasn't going to. She had wing protectors. And that was good enough. Besides. If she wasn't going inside, she hardly needed armor. She was about to tell Max as such, but he began making his way towards the hospital. Letting out a sigh, she looked back at the portal. If Chenoan was planning one coming for her... he would have already.

Turning away from the direction of Zephyr's shop, she started walking toward the MPD. There was no way she was going to see Zephyr. And if he was at MPD, she'd find somewhere else to wait.

Dialto sat down on the fountain's edge. He looked horrible. He had hardly ate, slept, or bathed since Belle had been bitten. He couldn't stop thinking of her, no matter what.
This was the spot where he had first met her. Where she had pushed him into the fountain.
And then, at the extravaganza, he had gotten so close to winning her over. It was going to work so well, but then that vampire had to come.
That vampire. Dialto shuddered at just the thought of him. What cruel creature could do such a thing? Belle was at least turned, if not completely dead. He hadn't heard any word, and he couldn't stand it.
Dialto reached into his pocket, and to his surprise, found something. He pulled it out, and found that it was the necklace Jade had given him for Belle. Fingering it, he blamed himself for what had happened. He could have stopped it, but he was too slow.
He turned and threw the necklace into the fountain, watching it sink to the bottom.

Chenoan sat in a nearby tree in his Palid Swift form. He'd been listening in on Dora and Max's conversation since he'd gotten here. It had taken him longer than expected as he'd tried his house, then her house, then the grove and then the alps before thinking about going to the underground.

Watching Dora head off to the MPD office Chenoan debated whether to follow her, or to just leave. Finally deciding, Chenoan dove off the branch and flew at full speed to the building. Slipping in when Aiden opened up the door he looked for Dora.

Stumbling out of the portal, a vial of blood in her hand, Belle took one gulp of it before throwing the vial into the nearest alleyway. She definitely needed fortification before traversing the wide world of Elysia. Wiping her mouth off with the back of her hand, she looked down at her dress ((the same one she'd been wearing the day she met Dialto, coincidentally enough)), took a deep breath, and exhaled. She was only going to the Cafe. She'd been there before. Daoine was extremely nice. It was not a big deal.

Just then, her tongue touched one of her new fangs, and she stiffened. Drawing her black velvet blazer a bit more tightly about her upper body, Belle ran through her familiar breathing exercises before lifting her head once more. Shaking her curls back from her face, she took her first steps out of the shadows.

Her heels clicking softly, uncertainly, on the cobblestones, she looked about her, taking in the once-familiar sights and sounds of daily Elysian life. The shops were bustling, and she could hear, could feel the pulses of those around her. She was ready to turn around and run back to the sanctuary screaming, but for some reason she couldn't. A cold, closed expression appeared on her face as she grimly made her way forward. If she couldn't do this now, she never would.

As she threaded her way through the crowds out doing their holiday shopping, a familiar head seemed to appear and disappear from view with the undulation of the crowd. Shaking her head, Belle knew it couldn't be. He wouldn't be there, no chance in heck. Suddenly, the crowd parted like the biblical Red Sea, and she had a clear view. Dialto, clear as day. She stood there, stunned, as all the memories of her past life, the ones she had, up until this point, successfully buried with the necklace. -zap-.

Abruptly, Belle turned and walked away. She couldn't do this. She could not do this.

Dialto relunctacly stood up, dragging his feet as he walked. He could barely keep his eyes open, and it was all he could do to keep himself from walking into the paserbys. He didn't really know where he was going, he was only moving for the sake of moving. In a daze, he wandered, ignoring the looks from the people walking by him.
Suddenly, he looked up, and his eyes focused as teh people in front of him parted.
Belle! his heart screamed. His mouth fell slightly open, and he was frozen in place. His system booted back up as soon as she turned to walk away.
Seeing her made him feel more alive than he had in weeks. He couldn't lose her again. His tiredness evaporated into thin air, and he started running as best he could. Catching up with her, he called out her name. Belle! Wait!
He stretched out his hand to attempt to grab her or at least be near her.

Run. Just run. Get away. Leave Elysia. Hide who she was. That was all Belle could think about. If she let anything in, she knew that the fragile shell she had constructed around herself would crumble to pieces, and so would she. So when Dialto chased her, she couldn't let him catch her. Yanking her arm out of his grasp, she ran through the crowds, crying out, trying to get the people to hide her, help her.

Don't touch me! Leave me alone! Someone, help! Please, anyone! Tears began to stream down her face. No! No! He had to let her go! She didn't want him to touch her! She wanted home, not Elysia. She was going to wake up, and this would all be an awful, awful, awful dream. Now outright sobbing, Belle ran from person to person, her expression desperate. But they all turned away. She was an outcast.

Checking to see if Dialto was still with her, she ducked into an alleyway, and looked around for an escape. Spotting a fire escape, she quickly lunged for it, grabbing the lower rungs and beginning to pull herself up. Slowly she managed to bring her feet to the ladder, and she started to scale it, steadily but surely. Maybe she could throw herself off of the roof when she reached the top. Let's see if vampires can fly faster to the afterlife than humans.

Dialto smiled, relieved, when his hand grasped her arm. But he made a small yelp of surprise when she pulled away and started running. He ran after her, as fast as he could go. Ughhh I need to work out more! He groaned, his legs getting more and more tired. He ran around some people, and crashed into others. He could only mumble a small sorry. Keeping his eyes on Belle, he followed her as best he could.

He saw her look behind her, and he could see she was crying. He wanted to rush up to her and hold her, but he knew he couldn't. Instead, he assumed she was checking for him and Dialto ducked behind a bush as she looked. He then popped back up, hoping she hadn't seen him. He sprinted after her as she ducked into an alley. Pressing his body against the wall, he peeked in to see what she was doing.

When he saw she was climbing up a fire escape, he knew he had to follow her. He had no idea what she might be doing, but he had a bad feeling. Dialto creeped into the alley, and grabbed onto the bottom of the ladder. Praying she wouldn't feel the extra weight, he started climbing.

Pulling herself up the ladder with surprising speed, Belle clambered onto the roof of the building. The heel of one shoe got stuck in some sort of drainage grate as she went, and the tears in her eyes were blinding her so strongly, that rather than fumble about trying to pull it free, she simply wrenched her foot out of the shoe (rather violently, truth be told) and continued on in her journey.

Half stumbling, half walking forward, she made her way around the various apparatus and such that littered the roof, until she reached the opposite edge of the building. Only hesitating for a moment to tug off her other pump, before hurling it at the brick wall of the opposing building across another alleyway, Belle stepped onto the ledge that marked the edge of the roop, sobbing quietly to herself. She tugged off her blazer, letting it fall the long distance down to a homeless woman. Lifting her now-freed arms up on either side, she stood there, looking straight out at the world, waiting to fly.

A cold wind came up, blowing past her into the iron sky, tugging at her curls, and Belle herself. It spoke to her, whispered of the wonders it saw, the places it went, the people it caressed gently as they traveled ever onward in life, never stopping, never ceasing. And Belle listened, dreaming of the life she could live on the wind. And, making her decision, she lifted her head, took a deep breath, and, putting on a brave front, began to slowly raised her right leg, ever so subtly beginning to take her first step to a new world.

{OOC: If you've ever seen the Princess Bride, this would be the part where the grandfather interjects and says "She doesn't die, you know". Just so you know.}

Dialto scaled the ladder rather quickly, gaining on Belle. Carelessly, though, he wasn't looking up. So, he was rather surprised when her shoe fell and hit him on the head. He let go with one hand, rubbing the sore spot. Oww... he moaned. But he couldn't let her get hurt like last time. He looked up, and saw that she was already at the top. Putting in a burst of speed, he pushed himself to climb to the top. Looking down, he realized one thing he had forgotten- he was terrified of hights. He swallowed, and pulled himself up on the top of the building. He sat there, panting, for a second, and then stood up and looked around.

When he saw Belle, his heart stopped. She was standing on the edge, arms stuck out, hair blowing in the wind. He couldn't see her face, but he could guess that she was crying. And then, he finally got it. She was up here to jump. She was going to end his life. He watched in horror as her right foot raised slowly, going over the edge.

NO!!! he cried, and ran forward. He grabbed Belle around the waist, and almost violently pulled her back. He fell backward on the roof, groaning on impact. Belle fell on top of him, and he could see that she was indeed crying.

Dialto started crying too, but he held tightly onto Belle, lest she tried to get up and jump. Shifting his arms so that he held her with one arm, he brushed the hair away from her face with the other hand. He stroaked her forehead and mumbled, choking on his tears, It's okay, it's okay.

Before she could reach her dreams, Belle heard shouting, and felt herself pulled back almost instantly, falling to the ground with a thud. But when she landed, it was not on the hard roofing, rather, she landed on someone. However, she was still too terrified at what she had almost just done to see who had saved her.

Tears still streaming down her face, she just lay there, her chest heaving with every sobbing breath she took. Slowly, her pulse began to drop, and her breathing began to slow. Laying there with her savior, she just let the familiar feeling of warmth and security she had never hoped to feel again begin to wash over her. The man comforted her, although he was sobbing as well, as he brushed her curls away from her tear-streaked face, and she wondered who in Elysia could be this distraught about her safety. Raising her gaze to the man's face, she realized with a jold that it was Dialto. Dialto was her sobbing saviour.

Before Belle even realized what she was doing, she raised her head to his, her chiffon slip whispering as she moved. Softly, she smiled through her tears and spoke.

"Shush. Egyptians don't like men who cry. But maybe not this one." Then, without warning, she pressed her lips to his, only praying that her nerves wouldn't fail.

(NPC Sierina played by Dora)

Sierina looked around at the shops as she passed by. Shaking her head, she focused forward. Bing back n Elysia was something she'd not been keen on. Too much had happened, and she'd rather leave it behind. Besides, she was above all it now. She was a warrior, and like being treated as such. Every other that walked past her however didn't know this, and look at her as if she were common.

Making eye contact with anyone that did so with her, she visually challanged them to not show her respect. Either it worked, or she hadn't run into anyone unruly, because everyone just glanced away.

Her attire might not have been the best for walking around the market, but she could care less. Coming here was only out of necessity, and she'd soon be back where she belonged. Looking over toward Destiny, she reached out to her to take her arm. THe shifter was still new, and could get easily drawn back in. She would make sure that didn't happen. First we'll go to your shop for you gather the supplies to help build as you agreed to, and i'll go run an errand for Kaida. Where is your shop? She asked looking around.

My shop is right around the cornere it's called The Hardware store.Everything we need to build is in there. Destiny stared up at Sierina with innocet eyes. She was the only person that Destiny had felt she had actually had a connection with. What do we need to get for Kaida? I know my way around here pretty well.As she looked toward the sky destiny found the position of the sun. it's nearly noon

{just so you know, Chee's a loser. It's important information}

Shush. Egyptians don't like men who cry. But maybe not this one. Dialto frowned slightly, trying to figure out what she meant. But then, she leaned in, and pressed her lips to his.

He went rigid at first in surprise. He hadn't expected this; he had hoped for it, but not expected it. His body relaxed, and he kissed her back, twisting his body and hers so they were sitting up, almost facing each other. He kept his hand in the small of her back, and leaned her back a touch.

For him, the kiss was beautiful. But suddenly, he drew back. I can't do this.. I'm taking advantage of her.

Dialto made a motion to stand up. I... he croaked. I... I.. I can't.

((Oh hush. Y'alls so totally know that Emmers (Zeem) is the bigger loser))

As Dialto kissed her back, Belle tried her hardest not to flinch. God, was she so desperate, that she would hurt this man, for her own ends? Almost letting out a sigh of relief as he pulled away, she couldn't move for a moment. Sitting there, slightly stunned, she vaguely heard him whisper something.

Looking at him as he spoke, not comprehending, all Belle knew was that she had to get away. Leave, before any more damage was done. Smiling slightly, she gazed off at the skyline as she spoke, with a hushed tone.

I know. With that, she stood up and strode quickly over to the fire escape. Climbing down, she forced herself to focus on the rungs of the lader biting into the soft skin of her palm, to keep the hot salty tears of disgust from flowing freely. Reaching the street, she brushed past the pedestriens, making her hurried way to the portal, shivering as she stepped into it.

{OOC: Now, I want you all to read that, and tell me that I'm the loser, and Chee's not. YEAH RIGHT.}

As Belle stood up, Dialto was stunned. He watched her go, and he couldn't get himself to protest. Finally, he was able to speak. Belle..., he called out, trailing off. He knew he was too late. He layed down on the roof, looking up at the sky. He didn't know what had just happened. Everything was going great... well, for a stopped suicide attempt, until...

Dialto wondered why Belle had just left. He just didn't know what to do. After thinking for a while, he decided he had to get over her. It just wasn't healthy for him to be so obsessed. He stood up, and almost fell back down, feeling dizzy. He started towards the edge of the building to go back down, but he stopped when he heard a scream. He looked down over the edge to see a scene unfolding in the Market Square.

He saw beasts come into the portal, and spread out. One was attacking an anyeli, and another anyeli was coming to its rescue, along with a... dragon?, and another Elysian. Another beast was coming towards the fight to aide his partner. Yet another was drinking out of the fountain, and there were two girls fighting that one.

Pushing Belle out of his mind, Dialto flew down the ladder, and ran towards the fountain.

Lydia was walking calmly on the cobbled stones. Her eyes covered by big sunglasses, her red hair flowing with the wind. She was wearing a certain pair of shoes she had never used before. A pair of high-heeled sandals that her sister gave her. And new shoes were famous for hurting the feet.
Anyway, Lydia wasn't worried about that. She was looking at a fountain, and considered sitting around it for relaxing her feet.
"Yeah, I'll go sit there and take off these sandals", she told herself, walking to it's direction.
It wasn't really close. Actually, it was just close enough to be seen. And quickly, Lydia's walking became faster, faster, became a running, and from a running, she was jumping to the place.
In her mind, she was screaming of happiness. She never felt so alive. Giggling, she was almost there. The cobbled stones she was tepping on were getting wetter because of the closeness to the fountain, that spilled quite some water.
She was excited and happy, though she didn't really have a reason to.

And had less reason when she was close enough to sit, because she slipped almost fracefully on the stones.
And was falling.
"Eeeeh...", was all she could say.
She was falling.

((OOC: Yeah. She still didn't fall. You can be a hero and come rescue her, or you can see her fall on the floor and laugh. Whatever.
And I did this just when I thought that Elysians may not only get in jured on fights, right? There are the fatalities of life, people!))

Lyf was sitting at the fountain, the warm air making her sweat, she was made for the mountains, although the warmth was nice. She had been thinking about her past for awhile now, and wondered why she hadnt picked the way of the nymph as her mother had.

It was because she had been young, and stupid. She no longer had any nymph powers she knew of and being a fledgling or a "Drakling," as some fledglings had been joking about. She was daydreaming about her very own bonded drakling that would someday be withen her grasp to call and summon for a small price when she saw a girl start to fall.

With fluid movements she jumped up and reached forwards, hoping to grab the girl in time, she stood there, arms outstreached and waited for the girl to land in her arms--or in the fountain.

Castalia slowly walked along Marketstreet. She'd just left the Grove and although the water had strengthened her, she still felt miserable. Out of the corner of her eye she saw a girl slipping on the cobblestones near the fountain. She almost turned to run over and help her but for some reason she couldn't get herself to actually do it. Seconds later she saw a young dragon coming to the other girls' rescue and Castalia sighed. Luckily she wouldn't have to feel guilty about not helping the girl as someone else already got to her.

She'd come here because she thought she might feel better being near other people but the crowded Marketstreet and square seemed to have the opposite effect. Everywhere she looked she seemed to see couples; laughing, feeling happy and holding eachothers hand. Couples in love, sweet sweet love .... just like she had with Suka untill recently.

As her gaze turned from the fountain to the other side of the street she flinched. Was that Suka who was walking over there? Squeezing her eyes slightly she recognized the silhouet of the man she'd spent so much time with. It was him indeed. Almost automatically she crossed the street and walked right at him. Maybe if she turned up in front of him unexpected it would trigger his memory. Or something? She had to try something.

Bringing his hand down from his neck, Suka looked at it. No fresh blood. Frowning slightly, he didn't even want to know how he'd healed himself. It was more than just a nick. Feeling his neck to double check, all he felt was the dried blood where the puncture had been and down the sides. Letting his hand fall, he decided to go back to the hospital and clean up. By the look on his face, he wasn't happy. -I'm a potty mouth! x_x- vampires.

Looking up, he saw Castalia coming his way. Letting out a sigh, he looked away from her. Really... he wasn't in the mood to deal with this right now. Closing his eyes as he stoped, he just wished he could not deal with any of this. Xanth, this lack of memory is really starting to get to me. He told the goddess. Really only telling himself. Turning toward the nymph as she approached, he put on a polite smile. If anything, he was polite. She might have different ideas about them... bt he wasnt going to be a rude -donkey-. Hello. He said softly, giving her a polite nod in greeting.

As she looked Suka in the face she immediately saw he wasn't in the best of moods. However displayed a polite smile as he greeted Castalia. "Hi Suka." she softly replied. Then she was silent. She was lost for words and her emotions took over. She wanted to grab him by his hands, shake him to come to his senses and scream at him. On the other side of the street the water in the fountain clearly reacted with her as the water suddenly sprayed out about 10 meters in heigth and splashed back down.

But instead of doing anything she just stood silent after this short greeting. As she swallowed the lump in her throat she looked deeply into his eyes. Those beautiful eyes in which she'd gotten lost so many times before. "Please remember me ... remember us ..." she softly whispered. "you have to".

Her eyes were pleading gently as she stretched out her hand and quickly caressed along his cheek. Immediately retracting again as she didn't want to scare him off again.
