Ayren Weyr, hidden amongst the mountains, distances itself more and more from the rest of Pern. Desperately trying to keep its secrets to itself.
Each turn brings them closer to the 9th Pass, and each turn brings with it more of the strangely coloured dragons. Afraid of what the other Weyrs may think, Ayren lives the way it's always done: alone and burried beneath the snow.
