Regaining his equanimity, he said aloud, "I'm Vadir. And why are -you- here, miss?"
In the darkness, he could vaguely make out her long hair, but not much of anything else. He did not have a weapon, and even if he did, wouldn't be able to ward off much more than a kitten. If the other girl was foe, then, he was screwed.

She glanced back at the open gates. No way was she going to admit she'd come here to remember the night she was bitten, that she felt she had to do this so she could get over the fact that she was unwillingly turned and get on with her life. She wasn't going to admit, either, that she'd changed her mind, that she wasn't ready for this.
I have to go, she said to no one in particular, lifting a hand in a gesture that could be either greeting or farewell. She didn't want to be rude, but this place was starting to creep her out in a big way.
Nodding at the demon's companion, she cast a final glance at the gates before turning and walking quickly away.

She let out a sigh of relief what she saidI'm Piper.... I have to go Piper? I know that name..doesn't she help out at the Pet Shop? No matter.
She stopped figiting and calmed down. She looked back at Vadir, not sure what to say Well, should we go in? She motioned to the gates.

"Yeah. Let's go," he said with a tone of finality. Turning at a slight angle, he saw the girl, still walking away. "Do you know her? Do you know anything about this island?"

Alieh decided to answer the Piper question first. She shook her head, Not personaly, but I've heard about her. She looked back at the island. As for the island...I really don't have a clue, I've mostly accident I got here.

The demon stopped, and gazed in wonder at the broken, ancient amusement park in front of him. No wonder it had felt so forboding; nothing good ever came from these types of places. There were so few people here. I shouldn't have gone here.
"Where can we go in a place like this?" he asked Alieh.

Alieh walked through the gate Spooky Her family had owned a huge library, and it had a large collection of horror books, which wasn't helping Alieh now.
Where can we go in a place like this?
I don't know, wander I suppose. She approached the nearest "amusement" It appeared to be a coconut shy, but the coconuts looked twisted and deformed in the light. She gave a small shudder.

Soon Thryn arrived at the corroded, rusty gates of an abandoned amuement park, Coney Island, to be exact. She looked up and shrugged. The park seemed to hold an ominous air, the silence inside of it emphasized grimly. But what could happen in someplace like this? Curious to know the answer, she grabbed one of the bars on the gate and hoisted herself over it, glancing around. She noticed a few figures up ahead, but they simply could have been shadows of her imagination.
Suddenly, entering the park didn't seem like such a good idea. There was definitely something gloomy about it. Repeating to herself that she had been in many places like this, she breathed deeply and walked forward, looking at the forsaken rides and games.

[b]Better stay out of they're way, incase they're not friendly.[/i] She relised her pale skin showed brightly even in the little light there was. She approached the coconut stand and pulled the black backdrop sheet off it and wrapped it round her self with some skill so that it looked like a hooded cloak.

Trying to furtively avoid the figures, Thryn turned at the next path and strode away, stopping at an enormous roller coaster. The letters on the sign naming the ride were very faint, and only a few thin lines were discernable. There was a machine several yards from the beginning of the track with a lever and chains protruding from it. She guessed it was the contraption that started the ride. Tempted to pull the lever, she walked further along the path and wandered among the numerous attractions.

She wasn't exactly afraid of nearly barren places, but they usually gave ominious vibes. Intensely staring at the scene, she tried to figure out if there were any people in this ancient-looking abandoned park. A new thought sprang to her mind. Maybe the rides still worked? Silly thing to think, but she sighed and pushed the gate, watching it swing as it closed behind her.
Immediately regretting her decision, a twinge of fear spread. She breathed quickly then sprinted off somewhere, didn't matter where, as long as she stopped looking at the gate. Abruptly finding herself in front of a run-down roller coaster, she caught her breath.

Quickly turning her head, she saw a girl with deep auburn hair a sort of lost expression on her face. She didn't want to be careless, but it was highly unlikely the girl was a foe. She lowered her guard down a bit and asked with as gentle and friendly tone she could muster, "Who are you?" She thought she remembered the face, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Suddenly she heard a voice that scared her nearly half to death.
"Who are you?"
She jumped, startled, immediately whipping around. Frightening thoughts poured through her mind until she realized she thought the voice was rather familiar. Suddenly she snapped her fingers, remembering who it was.
"Thryn."

"Thryn."
So she knows me, that means I must know her...right? Then a memory abruptly pushed through her clouded, anxious mind. She was drinking water from the creek in her animal form, and suddenly the same girl had walked up to her then. Stuttering a few words and racking her brain for the girl's name, she had come up with Kia.
A bit embarrassed to mention it, Thryn decided to act as if she didn't know her. "Yeah, that's me. Who are you?"

Suddenly she realized she'd said the 'shifter's name instead of her own. Blushing a little, she said, "Aekya, good to see you again, except for uhm, in this park."
Her view studied Thryn's figure in the dimness, then she wondered what the equestrian shapeshifter was doing here, though she could ask herself the same question.

Oh, I remember it now, Thryn realized. She recalled seeing the avian shifter around the marketplace and the first time in the grove, but she noticed the girl wasn't around very much. Lips forming a small smile, she replied, "Good to see you, too." Awkwardly pausing, eyes darting from the roller coaster to the creaking ferris wheel in the distance, she attempted to strike up a conversation. Gesturing to the grim place, she inquired, "So, why are you here?"
Thryn didn't know the answer to the question herself. She had been in the alley for no reason, and here was no different. Somehow, in a strange way, the dourness of the place was alluring to her. Why else would she agree to come into this evidently unpromising place? Or perhaps her curiousity had taken the best of her.

"I-I, uh, got lost." She gave a small, sheepish smile. "What about you?"
Her gaze shifted from Thryn's dark figure to the tops of the roller coaster. The loops and twists and the tracks were apparently still existent, if not a little rusty. Something about the coaster drew her attention, though she pretty much disliked the raging speed of the all coasters.
"So, what do you think of this park?" She swept her arm and turned around, imagining there were dark, ominous figures watching them. She shuddered, willing the thoughts out of her mind, then span around in Thryn's direction.

"So, what do you think of this park?"
"I think it's kinda creepy," she said, stating the obvious. She noticed that Aekya was looking at the rollar coaster a few meters away. The tracks and chains were very corroded, colored dull and ocher, creaking a bit in the stale breeze. A ridiculous thought popped into her mind suddenly. "You think it works?" It probably didn't, but the lever was quite luring.

The gate swung closed, the shifters began to cast dubious looks at the amusement park. A twang of irritation struck him as he realized they were completely ignoring him. That needed to change.
"You think it works?"
He smiled cheerfully, replying with, "Be careful. You never know when something might break and crash down."

"Yeah," she said, a little less tempted to try it out.
