[Chenoan]

Chenoan smiled even more when Nymphadora agreed to meet him tomorrow. "I was actually hoping..." Chenoan paused for a moment before continuing. "Would it be alright if I took you home?" He asked hopefully. This night had been so amazing that he didn't want it to end just yet. "And maybe tomorrow we can stop by the Grove after the carnival, I feel bad that we didn't make it tonight." Chenoan said looking back at Dora. "I can't wait until tomorrow. He thought.

As th sun set all arouund them it was all so romantic. "The only better place would be the space needle. He thought, remembering the place he lived before coming to Elysia. Running away hadn't been his smartest move, but he couldn't deal with how his mother hid thier shifting abilities, and then how his father reacted when he discovered the truth.

Then something occured to Chenoan. "How will Dora react when she finds out I'm a half-breed?!" Chenoan knew Dora was one, but she seemed to hate it. Would she stay with Chenoan if he told her? But then again, what if he didn't tell her and she found out on her own? HChenoan mentally decied he'd have t tell her... eventually.

[Nymphadora]

Nymphadora's grin reached her eyes as she nodded at Chenoan's request to take her home. The thought of how he was a gentleman was overidded with the thought of how glad she was that this wasn't the end of their date. I'm not too big on crowded places, but I heard the carnival is going to be a blast. And you deffinatly should be there. She said playfully touching his arm. You did kill the scorpian She smiled.

Nymphadora borke free of Chenoan's grasp and walked to the ledge of the roof. Jumping on top of it, she stood. The wind around her kicked up making her hair and dress flail in the wind. When she turned to look behind her, her hair fell into her eyes, making her sweep it away with her hand. Ever since she'd become stronger, the wind had no effect on her balance. Part of her almost felt as if it flowed right through her body. Her clothing on the other hand, said something compleatly different. She smiled at Chenoan, her body standing before the radient sunset, casting a shadow on his figure. She streched out her wings, preparing for flight. You ready? She asked gently.

[Chenoan]

Chenoan smiled a little bashfully when Dora mentioned the scorpion. He hadn't been of much help during that fight. In fact it was his fault Suka got hurt. But did Dora need to know that too? Eventually it'd all come out, but now didn't seem the right time to dive hide on into all the issues they'd face.

As Dora's silhouette stoof out against the colors of the sunset like a beautiful work of art. The wind whipping all around her didn't phase her at all, and she soon arched her wings to fly. "You ready?" Chenoan heard Dora say. Quickly snapping out of his entrancement Chenoan began to quickly shift nto a Kestrel hawk. "Let's go." He shriek-spoke to Dora as he took off, feathers ruffling in the wind around him.

Flying towards the sun at first, Chenoan quickly started to descend at a gentle angle towards the portal.

[Nymphadora]

Nymphadora jumped from the roof without responding. She spread her wings and soared toward the ground, following Chenoans angle toward the portal. Once they arrived, she smiled at him before stepping through, aiming for her home.

[Belle]

Finally emerging from the steps to the top of the empire state building, Belle panted heavily. She definitely hadn't remembered how long of a climb the trip was. After a moment, however, she had recovered to notice the magnificent view her lofty perch allowed her of nighttime New York. The scene took her breath away. It was one of her favorite things about New York- no matter where you were or what time it was, there was always something happening, be it clubbing, shopping, or just sitting in the park. She leaned against the balcony, her lithe form languishing with a supine grace. Absentmindedly, she brushed a thick dark curl away from her face and behind her ear, as s small smile played itself across her lips. She could almost break out in singing that cheesy old song, "New York, New York!"

[Kaethe]

Gliding silently over the city, like its guardian angel (which Xanth knows it needed one), Kaethe eyed the hustle and bustle of city nightlife below her, and longed to join. But no. She didn't have enough control over her powers to fully shield her wings, and any coat she wore would be suspicious looking. Sighins, she flew on, until she reached her favorite haunt, the Empire State building. She couldn't help but love it, not with their history. She had first visited with her parents when she was young, and when they died, she had fled there, not comprehending the magnitude of her situation, an orphan richly left. Of course, all that was behind her, but she still felt the powerful need to visit the building again; since she had made the pilgrimage to her parent's memorial, it was only natural for her to revisit another site so enmeshed in who she was. So preoccupied was she that she didn't even notice the human who was there as well, at least, not until she almost landed on her.

Veering out of the way just in time, she landed next to her almost silently, the air currents stirred up by her wings easily mistaken for breezes at this high altitude.

It's awe-inspiring, isn't it? Kaethe said softly, so as to not disturb her apparent companion.

[Belle]

More than a bit shocked to see someone suddenly appear out of thin air, Belle jumped before replying, a bit flustered.

Ah, ehm, yes, it's... quite lovely. Amazing. As she spoke, Belle took stock of the newcomer. She seemed to be quite lovely, in a buxom, sensual way, with flowing black curls and piercing blue eyes. Other than that, Belle couldnt tell; the darkness had cloaked the girl in shadows hard to penetrate.

[Kaethe]

The girl seemed quite startled by her sudden arrival; she had jumped nearly a foot in the air when she had spoken. Extending her hand, Kaethe introduced herself. Might as well try and be friends, if they were to tolerate each others' presence.

Hi. I'm Kaethe. Kaethe Raesean. And you are...? She trailed off indicitively, suggesting that the girl might introduce herself as well. When the girl didn't reply, Kaethe thought it best to extricate herself from the situation, and flew off silently, leaving the girl tp stew in her thoughts alone.

[Lily]

Having taken the advice of the tourist leaflet she now held clasped in her fist, Lily grinned as she finally reached the top of the empire state building. Feeling a little out of breath - it had been a long climb up, and maybe it hadn't been the best idea in the world to run almost all the way up the stairs - Lily squatted down, bouncing on her toes with her arms draped across her knees as she took in the view. It was amazing, and seemed to encompass almost all of the city. Lily's eyes darted about eagerly as she tried to see all she could, and she smiled as she mentally picked out places she had already explored that day - and she had explored quite a bit, wanting to cram as much sightseeing in one day as possible.

Content with the amount of places she had managed to visit, Lily jumped up and stuffed the leaflet in the back pocket of her jeans. So, she had seen everything then. Almost. Time to go home, Lily thought as she evauated the darkness of the sky - wouldn't want to get caught out in the city when it gets dark. She shivered a little at the thought; her father had always warned her about these city places. She knew they were dangerous, and wasn't keen on the idea of staying out alone in pitch darkness anyway. Still, what harm was there in staying here a little longer before returning home, she reasoned - it was a beautiful view, and she might as well stay awhile for all the time it took to get up there. And who knows, Lily thought to herself as she plopped herself back down on the ground to survey the view again. Maybe when I learn how to fly properly I can fly up here, and won't have to walk. Maybe this place will turn out to be a good place for flight practice. Humming contendedly, Lily twirled a curl of her golden hair around a finger absent-mindedly as she sat.

((OOC: I wasn't sure if Belle was still here or not, but if she is, sorry - um, I guess Lily just didn't see her in her eagerness to see the view?))

[Aiden]

The Empire State Building, a 102 story building in New York City...Aiden hadn't a clue why Aki wanted him to visit it so badly, but now he knew. It was a magnificent building, but he bet she'd wanted him to feel the pain of having to climb the stairs by foot. He wouldn't expect less of his sister.

Having climbed the stairs in his cat form, Aiden reached the end of the steps, panting with exhaustion. Perhaps he should've taken a break sometime along the way. Seeing a girl at the top of the building, Aiden mewed in surprise.

He hadn't expected someone else to be here so late at night. But then...he thought, as he looked at the girl's wings...Elysians can't visit during the day. Mewing again, he stalked toward the girl, stopping at a distance. He would have shifted to greet her, but the climb had taken his energy. For now, he'd succumb to his primal instincts...he licked his paw.

[Lily]

Lily shivered a little as she looked out across the New York landscape, not so much from the cold breeze tickling her wing feathers but from seeing that the night sky had gotten dark, much darker than she was comfortable with. She'd stayed out here much longer than she had intended...

Lily pulled her pink cardigan on over her wings as she prepared to leave the building. She was about to get up, intending to bolt to the staircase and down it again in her eagerness to get home, when the wind carried a small sound to her ears. Lily paused, her brain slowly trying to connect the noise with one she recognised. Had that been a cat mewing? Surprised, she whipped her head round to scan her surroundings, her face lighting up as her gaze fell upon what appeared at first to be just a small bundle of fur, but upon closer inspection turned out to be a typical, household cat.

'Squee-ing' in delight - Lily had always adored animals of the cute and furry kind - she softly ran over to the small cat, kneeling down in front of it with a huge grin on her face. The cat's unusual fur print or the odd fact that it was a cat on top of the empire state building didn't even register with her as she tentitively held out a small hand, rubbing the fingers together in a motion intended to attract the kitty and allow her to stroke it. "Here, kitty, kitty." She called softly, all previous worries about being out late at night forgotten for the moment.

[Aiden]

Here, kitty, kitty.
Aiden smirked inwardly, though the emotion didn't show on his feline features. His cat form was popular among children, and among some females too. Yawning, as cats do, he stayed put. He wasn't about to go to her like a dog would...but the other part of him thought otherwise.

I'm a human...human... chanted a part of his brain, but these days, his cat self often got the better of him. And now it wanted a back rub. In a fluid motion, Cat/Aiden got to his feet and moved toward the hand, rubbing his face against it.

[Lily]

Lily beamed as the cat nudged her hand; although it had appeared to be uninterested initially, it was now asking for attention, which Lily was only too happy to provide. She let the cat rub its head against her hand for a little while, then she moved her hand over the cat's back to stroke it gently, smiling as she felt the soft fur and the warmth of the small body. "Aw... you're so cute!" She crooned to the cat, smiling. Lily had always talked to animals, so she felt no awkwardness in continuing; "What's your name, then, huh, kitty?"

Still stroking its back, she leaned closer towards the cat - slowly as so not to scare it away - to check for a collar or some form of identification but could see none. How odd. Oh, Lily thought as she leaned back again, the oddness of the cat's appearance finally registering. I guess it's a stray, poor little kitty. How did it get up here, then, if it didn't have an owner to carry it up? She looked around for another human, but could see none. Weird. Shrugging, she continued to stroke the cat with a soft smile still on her face.

[Suka]

Flying swiftly though the air, Suka took to NY as he exorcised his wings. It was odd having their color be black, but he had to admit, flying at night, with black clothes and black wings, it was like he was a shadow. In the dark of the night, the odd red sheen that were embeded in his wings wern't visable. He had to admit, the tiny feature made his wings unique, and he rather liked it. He didn't know what it ment, and it probably wasn't good, but he liked it none the less.

Circling around the trees of central park, his eyes wandered to the Empire State building. It was a nice height, and stood out well in the city. He'd been there before... a long time ago it seemed. The memory was vage, but he knew it involved Destiny somehow. Shrugging of unwanted thoughts, he angled his body toward the buildings direction. From there, he could dive bomb the city, and practice abrupt halts. There's something about the pavment flying toward your face at extreme speeds that makes one's flying capabilities increse.

Coming closer to the top of the building, Suka flew up past the roof, then extended his wing out to slow his decent. Right before he landed, he folded his wings to his back, which cause him to land on the roof with a hard thud. One foot firmly planted on the ground next to his knee, he used his hand to push himself up. Half smirking at his landing, he found it amusing. There really was no need for dramatic landings such as that. He'd learned how to land normally long ago. But tonight, he just felt like being rough. Besides, he thought it was an awsome way to land.

Looking around him, he raised an eyebrow. He found it odd others were here at such late a night. Certinaly no human would be up here. Letting out a breath of slight annoyance, as his practice was put off, he looked toward one of the figures. Immediatly remembering her to be Lily, he made his way over to her. Might as well see how my recrute is doing. Make sure Kaethe didn't poison her against me. He thought. As he got closer, he noticed the small orange fluff ball she was petting. This one, he did remember from his past. Oddly enough.

Finally standing beside them, Suka took a seat next to the young Anyeli. Looking at the cat, he leand back, proping himself up casually with an arm. Hey Aiden. Turning toward the girl, he gave her a nod. Lily. Always a pleasure. He greeted, inwardly despising being so polite.

[Aiden]

What's your name then, huh kitty?
He responded with a cryptic 'meow' and tilted his chin upward to be scratched as Lily looked for an identification tag. Content with staying a cat, Aiden bent his forelimbs and sat fully on the ground.

Hey Aiden.
Interrupted from his state of feline-ness, Aiden opened his eyes and looked at the other angel. His eyes widened. Was this...Suka? He'd changed much. Nodding in greeting, he yawned and looked at the younger angel, curious to see her expression.

[Scarlett]

Scarlett finally completed her long walk up the building. She'd never been one for sight seeing, but it was an a nice night, and she didn't feel she could visit New York without seeing one of its most famous monuments.
Emerging into the shadows, from a small door to the side of the building, Scarlett took in the view. The stars here seemed more obvious, now that they weren't covered by the smog of the city - they looked so close, and it was all Scarlett could do to stop herself from reaching out and trying to grab one. Smiling to herself at such simple thoughts she leaned against the wall. Tearing her gaze away from the stars, she noticed two people shrouded in darkness. Using her ever increasing eyesight Scarlett was sure one of them was Suka. He had never contacted her after she had left him the apology present, and she couldn't help wondering why. The other shape was a girl she recognised from the Salon - Lily. Looking a little harder Scarlett also noticed a brightly coloured cat. Thats a bit odd, its a high building for a small cat, she thought. Deciding it was safer to stay in the shadows - away from sight for now, she observed the threesome, hoping that sooner or later she'd get the chance to speak to Suka.

[Lily]

Lily was tickling under the cat's chin when she heard a large, rough thud behind her. Her hand fell as a shiver went up her spine, her mind immeadiately associating that heavy noise with danger - mentally she repremanded herself for staying out so late. Unconsciously she extended her wings out a little so that they closed around her in a protective way, and cast her senses out, listening for any other sounds (she couldn't bring herself to look around, almost afraid of what she might see) - Lily could hear footsteps approaching and felt an urge to bolt. Not wanting to leave the cat alone with a potential threat, she tried to calm herself down as the stranger drew closer, telling herself that it was probably just a normal person, not threatening at all. She shakingly put her hand out again to resume stroking the cat in an attempt to calm herself down and the cat, too, if it needed it - she had heard that cats could sense danger.

Her fears were assauged, however, when she heard the stranger speak, and her muscles which had tensed when he had sat down beside her now relaxed. Smiling softly, with relief at knowing who it was and also with pleasure at meeting him again, Lily turned to face him as she replied. "Hi, Suka!" She tried to respond brightly, but she was still a little shaken so her voice was softer than intended. "It's nice to see you again." She blushed a little as her eyes took in his handsome profile again - diverting her eyes back at the cat she felt grateful it was so dark, assuming that the dark night would hide her blush. "I told another Anyeli about what you're trying to do. Peace and all... I really think it could work!" Lily added, shyly at first, but ending her comment in a passionate tone.

She turned round to face the cat again - then frowned a little in confusion as she remembered that Suka had also greeted the cat initially. Looking back at Suka, then back at the cat again, she tried to figure out why he would do such a thing - was it his cat? But it hadn't sounded that way. "Oh!" Lily drew back her hand as she finally realised, shocked and worried about maybe having offended or disrespected the cat -er - person. "Is this... are you a shifter?" She asked, not entirely sure who she was addressing and generally quite confused. "Oh, I'm so sorry!" She fretted, biting a nail and watching the shifter - if the cat was indeed a shifter - carefully.

[Suka]

Suka watched amused at her reaction to Aiden. Obviously she didn't realize she was petting a shifter. Funny Aiden would let her though. Then again, it felt good when his wings were stroked. He could see how being given that much attention would be nice. Especially from a lovely woman. Lucky -nice person-. He thought. Laughing when she sat there chewing her fingers, he reached down to ruffle the cats fur. Oh he dosn't mind. Do ya Aiden? He said, not giving a -zap- if he did or not. He also didn't care that he was acting as if they were old pals.

Retracting his hand, he leaned back again. Turning to look at Lily, he leaned in close to her ear. Hey, I don't want to be a stickler, but we probably shouldn't talk about Anyeli issues in front of 'others'. You never know. He finished, pulling away. He's let her come to her own conclusions, but his real reason was Aiden. By now he was sure Zephyr had told him about his behavior and so on. He had no doubt that if he heard Lily talking about him discussing peace, he might open his mouth and say something. Something that could ruin his plans.

Leaning in again, she spoke softly. Oh, and I already talked with your friend. From what I understand, she should be joining our faction. Again, he pulled back and gave her a goofy grin. One he was actually becomeing quite fond of. One that always seemed to work.

[Aiden]

The cat watched the female anyeli with amusement, blinking lazily. Moving his head to the left in a small headshake, Aiden got to his paws and stretched.

Oh he doesn't mind. Do ya Aiden?

A heavy hand descended on his head, ruffling the fur on his head. Meowing in response to having his fur messed up, Aiden twisted in attempt to get away. Lily was pretty and he liked having his fur smoothed, but Suka wasn't pretty at all.

As the anyeli discussed their issues, Aiden moved away from Suka to sit on the other side of Lily. Reverting to his human form, he blew at the strands of hair in front of his eyes. His hair was now messy, mirroring the ruffled fur from his car form.

"Hey Lily," he nodded at the light haired girl, "Suka," he grinned, "Never thought I'd meet you here...You've changed."

Aiden seemed relaxed, but he had raised his caution. Suka's wings were now a dark black, and the tone of his voice had changed. The Suka that Aiden knew before seemed more genuine. Now, he didn't know what the anyeli's words meant. In his cat form, he'd subconsciously felt unease...no doubt from some foreboding aura. The anyeli, according to police reports, had been the cause of numerous disturbances.

[Suka]

Suka nodded an exchange with Aiden after he'd sinished speaking with Lily. His next comment however made him a tad uneasy. Suka knew what he ment, but he decided to ignore it, and make his comment into what he himself wanted it to be. Yea, Xanth got a hold on my wings. My stomach to. He said lifting his shirt to reviel the major tattoo across his torso. Lowering it after a moment, he shrugged it off. Comes with the job i guess.

Lifting his knee to his chest, he folded his arms around it. Looking at Lily, he sopke truthfully, yet trying to steer her toward his vision. I used to be Apalos. But Xanth thought I'd make a good Skotadi leader. Now that she knew this, surly she couldn't hink he wanted anything other than peace. Even is she was told otherwise.

Looking back toward Aiden, he smirked. And you haven'd changed a bit. He ment it as an insult, seeing as he was still a lazy cat. But however he took it was his own buisness. He didn't even know why he'd been friends with this guy before the quest. Looking away, he could care less the reasons.
