[Destiny]

Destiny launched out of the portal not even thinking to look back. She ran as fast as her for paws would carry her, weaving in and out of the trees working her way further into the jungle. The deeper she went the darker it became. Tears glistened on her fur as she ran. Furious with herself for letting herself open her heart again she kept running jumping over the low branches. How could i have been so stupid?! I never should have trusted him. I should have known he was a fake he never loved me he only wanted to use me. Destiny's pace slowed as she tired out. turning around she realized she ran aimlessly into the forest and was now so deep in that not even the jungle animals were stirring. She let out a howl and started ripping at the trees with her sharp claws and tearing at everything around her. Never again will i open my heart never! Slowly the anger subsided and destiny plopped down and observed what she had done. I need to stop bottling up my emotions like that she said this in a slight whisper. Slowly she shifted into her human form and climbed up the tree that stood behind her. Tears slid down her face as she observed the mile and miles of trees.

[Kaida]

Kaida watched silently within the height of the tree. Seeing wolf pup running so blindly, it caught her attention. Taking out her knife, she gripped it casually, preparing herself for the beast no doubt following it. When it stoped however, and began tearing apart the forest around it, she narrowed her eyes. Its actions were not like any wolf's she'd come across. Which ment one thing. Shifter.

Not more than a few moments later were her suspisions confirmed. The wolf pup sat, and spoke aloud. Watching her shift, Kaida moved slightly. She'd met the girl before. Squinting her eyes, she pushed herself up off the treebranch, standing, watching as the girl climbed a tree close by. She wasn't sure if this was a good idea, not liking having met her before... but she thought she might as well try.

Taking ahold of a nearby vine, she rapped it around her arm, and held on tight. Pushing herself away from the tree, she launched into the air, swinging around intil she landed on a branch beside Destiny. Moving to take hold of the girls clothing in case she were to startle and plumit to the ground, Kaida re introduced herself. Kaida. From halloween. Fox shifter.

Gripping onto the branch, she looked down at Destiny. Having the ability to climb these trees was certinaly a good quality. Especially within her tribe. She'd already recruited two, and the other was coming along nicly. Seeing how Destiny was a canince shifter made it all the more intresting. Kadia began to think, maybe, just maybe... she could be an asset. She'd have to test her though... but how?

[Destiny]

Destiny felt the branch shake as someone hopped onto it. Thinking it was probably a harmless animal she kept her focus on staying on the branch.Suddenly she heard the some one speak. Kaida. From halloween. Fox shifter. Raising her hand she quickly brushed away her tears. Hello again... I hope you didn't see that...she pause thinking for a word i guess you could say outburst a minute ago. it's not usually how i act but..well.. Her throat tightened as she tried to hold back her tears. I will not cry. This is in no way my fault i will not cry over Him She stood up on the branch to try to get a view of were the portal was she needed to get some things from her shop.

[Kaida]

Kaida nodded. I was actually hoping it was. Ramaining where she was, she wrapped the vine around the branch slightly above her. Looking back down at the shifter, she decided to come to her level and sit. After making sure she was firmly positioned on the branch, she looked toward Destiny.

I have no buisness prying into your life, and frankly, i really don't need to know. Looking away, she tried to remember how she'd recruited the other three. Each had been different, yet all eager to join. Maybe Destiny would be no different. It seems rather obvious that, something has happened to you. I see the same in you that i saw in myself. As of now though, i've move past that. Learned to block it from my heart. Looking back at Destiny, she tried to show her how much better it was this way.

You can do the same. Pausing, she looked out over the rainforest. It was dark and damp, but nothing she hadn't gotten used to. I've gotten a rather small tribe togther. Each joining for thier own reasons, but all with the same purpose. Becoming a warrior, and showing no mercy to those who betrayed us. Your welcome to join... however. There is a test. Just... a way to prove your loyality. Standing up, she took hold of the vine, reading herself to take off if the girls answer should be no.

Theres just one question to answer before you decide. What to you really have left in Elysia? Kaida peered down at her, making Destiny face the awful truth about reality. Each warrior had to do the same, and all came back with the same responce. There was nothing left.

[Destiny]

Forgetting about looking for the portal Destiny stared at the damp jungle that lay ahead of her, listening to Kaida. Theres just one question to answer before you decide. What to you really have left in Elysia? Destiny turned toward her slightly startled at this question. Lowering her head she thought it over. My brother has abandoned me, He betrayed me with Her so now i have no home, My shop gets no business, and my dreams...my dreams of leading a pack why their only dreams and thats all they ever will be. this realization dawned upon her. I have nothing left...absolutely...positively...nothing. Looking up at Kaida destiny wore a face of determination. I'll do it, I'll join

[Kaida]

Kaida saw the same look in Destiny as she saw in the other three. And just as she assumed, the same responce was given. Nodding, she took hold of the rope then slid down it to the ground. Holding it close to the branch so Destiny could do the same, she called up to her. Ok then, lets see what your made of.

She figured she'd bring her to a training site, away from camp. If Destiny were to fail, then she didn't want her to know where it was. Not that she didn't think she could trust her... it wasn't about that. She needed to stick to the rules shed given herself when she first started. No one joined, and left. It didn't work that way. Luckily she hadn't had to deal with that just jet.

[Destiny]

Destiny followed Kaida down the rope. Her voice spoke but she noticed that it didn't sound like her own. Do i need to know what this test is or what I'm to be doing? The exhaustion of the run out her was final catching up with her. Slowly she started to transfer back into a wolf. Looking up at Kaida she was slightly embarrassed. Sorry about this.. i must have used a slight bit to much energy on the way out here. i should be fine in a few minutes just lead the way.

[Kaida]

Kaida nodded to Destiny's explination. She knew exactly how she felt. There had been many times where she'd stayed in her animal form to long, and needed to revert back to human. It didn't happen so much anymore, but she still had to deal with it, especially when she was training. Moving along an uncharted path, only recoginised because of her shifted anumal senses, she made her way toward the training site. The test is fairly simple. You will fight one of my warriors, and i will evaluate your skill. Glancing back at the pup slightly, she continued.

I'm not expecting perfect. No one is. But i need to know how much I will need to train you, and if you have the ability to train. There was more to it than that, and not even Siernia knew it. Of course she'd tell her before the fight, but still, she hoped the Anyeli truested her by now.

After moving through about a mile of forest, she came out into a small clearing. Around it were makeshift traning spots. Dead center was a ring, made so by weak posts and vine. There were also makeshift targets and the obsticle course. Near the ring were many tree stumps, including a rather high one, a place for Kaida to view without interference.

Moving until she stood right next to stump, she intied a hidden vine and opened the bark like a door. Inside the hollowed out tree were all of Kaida's weapons. The girls had managed to make, or buy thier own. But when training, they used hers. Taking out the bow, she grabbed an arrow rigged with a small explosive at the end of it. Pulling out her lighter, she lit the fuse, then quickly nocked the arrow, then let it fly. Nearly as soon as it reached its peak, the bottle exploded and lit up the sky. Siernia would be on her way shortly.

[Destiny]

I will f-f-fight one of your warriors? a hint of fear ran through her voice. Kaida i hate to say this but i haven't actually fought in; well, forever. not wanting Kaida to get angry she lowered her small head and followed her to the clearing in silence. She watched as she shot the makeshift flare. Dear goddess what have i gotten myself into i can't fight worth anything not unless some serious emotions took over like they did awhile ago. Even when we were kids Dracos always won our scraps and at the scrap central not but couple of months ago Suk- He beat me. No I'm not meant for fighting i never was... pulling out of her deep thought Destiny chanced a worried glance at Kaida.

[Kaida]

Kaida looked down at Destiny. Letting out a sigh, she quickly killed her emotion. Destiny... Crouching down before the pup, she braced her weight by placing a hand firm against the ground. Fighting... is easy. It's all in your mind. You need to block out everything, and focus on what needs to be done. Think of it like this. If you are hanging off a rope, thats hanging off a cliff... the last thing your going to think about is dying. If you think about that, your emotions will over run you, and you will plumit because of the weakness you are giving yourself.

Looking deep into the pups golden eyes, she tried to pass her confidence into her. You are not weak. In your mind, you think that you can't do something, and that makes you weak. If you block it out, you can do anything. Emotions only get in the way. This is said many times.. but its very true. All you have to fear, is fear itself. Without fear, without... emotion, your abilities will flourish. Standing up, Kaida moved over to the tree stump. Putting back the bow, she shut the flap and turned back to Destiny.

I used to let anger consume me. My emotions told me what was right, and what was wrong. When i blocked them out, i've done nothing but thrive. Looking away for a moment, she looked back toward her. Giving her a soft smile, she crouched down again. This takes time though... and training. I was lucky enough to be shocked into this reality. For everyone else... they have to learn it. And its not easy. For now... id say anger would be the best emotion to show me your abilities with. Although remember, when your angry, you get careless. Watch your back.

[Destiny]

I've never thought of it that way before...but in a way you are right aren't you? looking toward kaida she said in a barley audible whisper [b]The power i had behind that burst of anger earlier was the most i have ever had before but it's gone now. The only way i can get it back is if i held in that emotion once again and that would take forever. There has to be another way. Turning around to observe her surroundings destiny saw the makeshift training ring made of vine and wood.[b] This is a great site you know... if i could get some supplies and such from my shop we would have enough to build things out here.

[Kaida]

Kaida stood, and looked toward where she assumed Sierina would come. Nothing. Looking back down at Destiny, she tried to clarify. Well... emotion in battle is useless. In time I hope you learn that. But for now, just do your best. I'll see what you can do. Even if you don't win, if your trainable... that all im looking for.

Looking back towards the main entrance from camp, she nodded to herself, pleased the flare worked. Sierina was slowly making her way over, her Axe in hand. Kaida had never tried using the flare, and its purpose was for many things. Calling one another to eachother, calling for help, or just simply making a note of where someone was.

Seeing Sierina come to it was pleasing, and the fact she had her axe in hand was even more so. For all she knew, trouble could have been here. Looking back toward Destiny, she nodded toward the Anyeli. You ready?

[Destiny]

Destiny nodded in response to Kaida's information about emotion in battle. Watching as Kaida glance at the entrance of the camp. There was, what destiny assumed, an Anyeli making her way toward the training ring, with an axe in hand. You ready? Of course, but a question i have no weapons so is it safe to assume that i am only allowed to use my claws or no?.

[Kaida]

Kaida smiled. Moving to the stump again, she opened the flap wide. Take your pick.

Inside was the weapons she'd brought from the desert. All still new, all waiting to be claimed and mastered. From left to right, they all fit snugly inside the hidden trunk. Scimitar, Twin Axe, Bullwhip, Long Hunting Knife, Set of 2 Small Daggers, Small Warhammer, Med. Spear, Small Wooden Crossbow, Stone Throwing Knives.

Looking toward Destiny, she tried to pic down which weapon she'd pick. All her girls had their own specitaly, and she wasn't about to prevent one from using a weapon the others decided to master. But she hoped to have the tribe be very diverse. And at least gain some knowledge in a secondary weapon. Kaida had had been mastering the spear all her life, accompanied by a hunting knife. But her secondary weapon was the Bow. And she deffinatly would admit to not training with it like she should. Her skill level should be up to par now, but it was lacking, majorly.

From how she'd seen Destiny act eariler, she pegged her for a dagger type, but people continued to suprise her. She'd soon find out.

[Destiny]

Destiny watched as Kaida opened the secret panel of the tree trunk. Take your pick. Observing the weapons she saw the Bull whip. Having previous experience with it before destiny was about to go over and pick it up before she realized she was still a puppy. Taking a minute destiny shifted into her human form leaving her tail and ears as she always did. Giving a sideways glance toward Kaida she walked over and picked up the whip. Releasing it with a slight flick of her wrist she heard the familiar snap and crack of the whip in the air. Grinning slightly she turned to see where the Anyeli was. Realizing that she was right behind her Destiny took a step back and gave a slight nod toward her opponent. Hello

Slowing her pace upon entering the clearing, Sierina immediatly gripped her axe in her hand. Upon seeing the flare, she didn't quite know what to think. It was the first time she'd seen it, other than the practice times she and Kaida had shot. It's warrnt could be a number of things. But they all had the same meaning. Run.

Her eyes landed on Kaida almost immediatly. Seeing the woman next to her, she almost tensed up, but both their casual stances calmed her. Whatever this was, it wasn't an attack. Moving elegantly, she crossed the small field over to the two. Her eyes stayed on the stranger as she noticed the girl had ears and a tail. Shifter.

Walking up behind them, she gave a polite nod back to the shifter. Looking toward Kaida, she raised a brow. What's going on?

[Kaida]

Kaida turned toward Sierna as she approached her. Sierina, this is Destiny. Destiny, Sierina. She's basically my left wing. Sending the Anyeli a slight smile, she looked back to Destiny. Excuse us a moment. Just... prepare yourself.

Moving to hook arms with Sierina, she headed away from Detiny slowly, speaking softly so the shifter couldn't hear. Sierina, I think there is potential in Destiny. I've met her before, but im sure now the circumstances she's come to us in will prove to make her an ideal warrior. But I can't be sure as I don't know her fighting level. Pausing in speack, she looked at her directly in the eyes. I need you to fight her.

Pausing only a moment, she continued on in hopes to prevent her from objecting. I don't mean to harm you, and i'll be watching the entire fight. But I need you to let her win at some point. I can tell you when by signal. At the point, when she'd "beaten you", i wll then instrust her to kill you. The words were... intense. But Kaida knew what she was doing. Hopefully.

I won't let her... but I need to know she could do it. Looking at Sierina, she removed her arm then grasped for her hand to squeeze assuringly. Trust me. She said simply.

[NPC]

Sierina listened carefully. It all made perfect sense, until she said the word kill, and refered to Sierina. Opening her mough to obviously object, Kaida was quicker, and continued speaking. Frowning only slightly, she didn't like the idea of being out of control and vaurnable like that. She'd just have to trust that Kaida would be able to stop the shifter in time. Either that, or the girl would wind up dead.

Nodding silently, she looked toward the girl, and nodded again. She'd spent the morning training, and was already limbered up. Fighting was second nature to her, she'd been through it more than she'd ever imagined she would. Holding back however, would prove very difficult.

Moving to the ring, she took off some of her bulky armor, tossing them to the side, then swiftly ducked under and in between the vines creating the ring, and stepped inside. Placing her labrys on the ground, she leaned against it and waited.

[Kaida]

Kaida gave Sierina an apprecitave smile. It seemed she was willing to take this step and trust her. Kaida knew it wasn't anything she'd have to worry about, but thats because she knew her own abilities. Sierina was still adapting. Watching at she moved off toward the ring, Kaida headed back to Destiny.

Approaching her, she lifted her brow slightly. Sierina is ready. Her weapon of choice is the labrys. Pausing to look at Destiny's whip, she couldn't help but think of it as a defensive tool. She could try hand to hand combact, but in this day and age, you needed weapons. You can choose any weapon you want, but only one. When your ready, step into the ring. I'll signal you two to start.

Turning from her, Kaida made her way to the large tree stump and climped up. Sitting on top, she waited for Destiny to ready herself, thens she'd observe and decide.

[Destiny]

Destiny gave a slight nod as Kaida told her that Sierina was ready. That must be the Anyeli chancing a look in her direction destiny felt a wave of fear . She looks far more more experienced, but i can't let that stop me there has to be a way to get angry perhaps if i see those wings it will remind me, perhaps.. Giving one last snap of the whip destiny walked over to the side of the ring and slid in between the vines stepping inside the ring. Destiny stood waiting for Kaida to signal the start of the match.
