The door itself paints an intimidating picture, the marble arch standing out from the walls despite being of the same off-white colour – the carved patterns so delicate the objects depicted look almost real. Below this a large solid dark oak door stands proud, elaborately decorated with the same detailed carvings along the edges. A brass plate at the top of the door proclaims “Honoured Skatodi; Hall Of Heroes”, and this same brass fashions the archaic door handle, also decorated with intricate carved patterns. The door is heavy, yet opens silently, with not a hint of any rusty hinges despite its otherwise ancient appearance. Stepping into the room, the silence seems almost oppressive - though some would call peaceful, claiming it held an air of sanctity.

The gold leaf in which the names are written continues the elegant theme – and the names cover almost every space the walls can afford, a sizeable space considering the immense size of the hall. Names of every great Skatodi who died in battles past, preserved for years upon the walls of the Hall – every so often there is even a picture depicting a particularly notable figure in history, the bold, dark colours creating an almost sinister air – or one could say it was the power emanating through the painting. The plain white walls are lit faintly by the huge windows opposite the door – despite covering an entire wall and almost reaching the ceilings, the dark drapes with their silky, almost transparent quality, do not afford much light from the ancient, brass windows. This creates a pure, clean, yet dim effect, and seems to suit the general style of the room; a room where Anyeli come either to learn more about their history or to pay homage to their idols.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Lily had neither intention in mind when she entered the room, blithely skipping into the centre of the Hall having finally managed to push that huge, heavy door open enough to slip through. Curiousity had inticed her into the Hall; she hadn't even read the sign, simply deciding, spur of the moment, to explore the Palace a little more. Obviously, she had started with the first room she had come across, and as she had just descended the stairs from Suka's office - having been up there to ask him about something but discovered the room empty - the Hall, at the foot of the stairs, was her first stop.

She spun around slowly whilst in the center of the hall, to take in the general look of the room. The grandeur impressed her little, and she frowned a little, only briefly, as she went on to walk jauntily beside the walls and read a few of the names and the inscriptions of their famous deeds in battle – those weren’t much to her taste either. Returning to the front of the hall, Lily got to work pushing the rest of the door open; she wanted more light in the room, which seemed rather unsettling and unwelcoming with its lack of it. Hoping to glean more light from the corridor outside, she applied all of her strength, but the door barely opened. Lily could tell it was going to take a long time, but she had time to spare, and she was uneasy in such a dimly lit room - the glares from the Anyeli painted on the walls would seem less harsh in the light, she reasoned.

Skylar walked into the Skatodi faction building, knowing very well that the faction leader was not around she decided to bide some time in the Skatodi Hall of hero's which she had heard about from her family members. Walking toward the door she noticed it's intricate carvings admiring it's uniquenesses she noticed that the door was slightly ajar. I wonder who would be careless enough to leave this door open? Giving the door a slight push she squeezed through the opening. Hello? actually meaning to speak in a normal voice it came out as a whisper. She turned to see the names on the golden leaf reading down the list as she walked.

Deciding to try a new approach - as standing in the corridor and pushing from the front hadn't seemed to help any - Lily grabbed the edge of the heavy oak door and swung around to the other side, hoping pulling it back would be more effective in opening it. Her skinny fingers curled around the edge of the door, and her tongue sticking out of the corner of her mouth ever so slightly in concentration, Lily tugged at the door, looking down at the dark marble floor as she did so. She smiled, pleased with her efforts, as she saw the strip of light filtering through the gap from the corridor widening, but let go of the door in surprise as a shadow darkened the doorway briefly, before a figure passed her by.

Hidden behind the door, Lily appeared to be unnoticed; she turned, forgetting about her self appointed task of opening the door, and watched the fledgling Anyeli as she walked around the hall. She almost giggled at the situation, she felt like a spy, watching someone whilst hidden in the shadows; it reminded her of a game she used to play with her cousin. Hearing the girl's meek "Hello?", however, Lily felt a little guilty - she thought the Anyeli sounded a little scared, what with her quiet whisper. Eager to comfort the Anyeli if needed, and excited at the chance to meet someone new, Lily bounded forwards; her light footsteps quiet upon the smooth floor, she may have been unheard if not for her friendly cry, "Hiya!" Upon nearing the girl, Lily smiled at her in a friendly manner, and added, "My name is Lily. What's your name?" as she tucked a stray golden curl behind her ear.

Suprised that she had opened the door so far Skylar walked into the dark hallway. As she was observing the the names and murals she bacame engrossed in thought. "Hiya!" the word rang loud and clear through the eerily silent hall. Pulling Skylar out of her reverie she gave a slight jump. Swrling around she saw another Anyeli walking toward her. Her blond hair stood out in the darkness. "My name is Lily. What's your name?" Oh um Hello. My names Skylar, but everyone calls me sky. I'm new here to Elysia. Clamping her mouth shut Skylar blushed as she realized she was babbling.

Lily smiled, pleased at the other Anyeli's friendly response - Lily had been apprehensive that the fledgeling may have chosen to be antisocial and shun her cheery greeting. Although most Elysians she had met so far had been friendly, there had been a few who had been not so friendly - more so since she had become a Skatodi; Lily was finding it hard to evade the harsh looks from a few Apalos. It reminded her of the way her uncle had looked at her mother - she'd never understood it then, but now she knew what it was, much as she wished she didn't have to. Prejudice, just because of wing colour; it was something which deeply scared Lily, in a different way to other little fears such as her fear of "creepy crawlies" and fear of the dark. Her eyes flickered briefly towards the names on the wall, names of famed warriors past, she hoped that the battles for which these names were famous wouldn't re-erupt.

Looking back at Skylar, Lily took in the Anyeli's appearance; the purple hair was unusual, but looked really pretty, Lily reflected before replying in her usual chirpy manner. "Skylar - that's such a pretty name! Do you mind if I call you Sky, too? Your hair is really pretty; is it naturally that colour?" Lily paused for breath before she continued in her babble, bouncing on her toes as she spoke, her arms swinging slightly by her sides. "Oh, you're new? I'm new too, kind of - well, I've known about Elysia all my life but I've only recently moved to the Anyeli Sanctuary and only just started interacting with other Elysians..."

As she spoke Lily briefly wondered how long she had been in Elysia; it didn't seem that long, considering how few people she knew and how little exploring she had done outside of the Palace. An idea coming to her, she voiced it, "Hey, have you explored much of Elysia yet? We could explore together, if you wanted." She suggested to Skylar with a smile, not even considering the idea that the other Anyeli may have wanted time on her own. Despite the higher level of light now in the room, Lily still felt at unease in the Hall; it was so big, dark and focused on paying homage to warriors, praising them for their skills and contributions to battles. Not her kind of thing at all. She almost shivered as she looked around the ancient Hall again, thinking of the acts which the named Skatodi would have been famed for.

Slightly taken aback by her cheeriness Skylar stared a lily in disbelief. Yea it's fine you can call me Sky as well, actually yea this is my natural hair color.Looking over Lily Sky noticed that she had the dark wings of a Skotadi. This is actually my first time in Elysia. This is the first place i came to when i got here.I wanted to talk to the Skotadi faction leader. The whole of my family are Skotadi so i've known nothing else. Staring at the ground she thought over the proposition of exploring Elysia with lily. I would love to explore Elysia with you Managing a smile, Her eyes glowed as the light hit them.

Lily beamed at hearing Skylar's affirmation about exploring Elysia, responding brightly; "Great!" Wondering where they could explore first, Lily spun around energetically and began to walk towards the Hall door, wanting to leave the room as soon as possible. She decided to leave it up to Sky whether to follow her to the door or not - even if the other Anyeli wanted to remain in the Hall a little while longer, Lily planned on waiting at the door for her. As she walked, she continued talking, feeling knowledgeable for once; "The Skatodi leader is called Suka. He's really great - he's trying for peace, isn't it wonderful? I don't think he's in his office though..."

Lily paused in her chatter for a moment, thinking on what Skylar had said regarding her family all being Skatodi - and from the sounds of it that was influencing her decision. Lily's family were all Skatodi, with the exception of her meek, kind hearted mother - but that didn't influence Lily a bit. She wondered whether Skylar felt pressured into becoming a Skatodi - that would be terrible, being pressurised like that, Lily thought sympathetically. Having reached the door, she paused in the doorway, turned back to face the Hall, and looked at Skylar. "Where do you want to explore first? The Elysian Marketplace? Or do you want to stay in this Hall a bit longer?"

As Suka walked through the Palace, his mind was going a million miles an hour. As much as he hated what he'd done in the past, he was glad he could remember it. He had new duties as the Kurio, and he felt at least that was one thing he could do right. If not fix anything else, at least he could lead the Skotadi to victory. Peace, is an intriguing idea. And so long ago, it would have been the only idea. But now. He saw the light, and he knew somtime peace dosn't solve everything.

As soon as he rounded the corner, Anchora trotted over to him form no where. Lifting a brow, Suka looked at the pig. He wasn't sure his feelings toward the beast anymore. But he felt neither strong like or dislike. Shrugging, he'd use him as he'd planed to previously. Maybe he might even become friends with the beast.

Continuing walking, Suka passed by an open door. He didn't think much of it until he heard voices from inside. Pausing mid step, he turned around and peered through the door. A young Anyeli was talking with... Lily. Lifting his brow, he sucked in his breath. If he wanted to regain his life back, however altered it may be, here's where to start. From what he recalled, he'd decieved Lily... but she wasn't aware. Now that he knew what was going on though, he'd respect her wishes not to fight, and in time, let her in on his plans. Plans he hadn't developed yet.

Opening the door the rest of the way, Suka looked back at Anchora and shooed him to his office. Getting a soft grunt, the pig trotted away. If Suka was to use him, Lily couldn't see him. Not yet anyway.

Walking through the threshold, Suka cleared his throat, and waited to be recoginised.

Moving away from her position in the doorway, Lily walked lightly forward a few steps, turning midstep so that she was walking slowly alongside Skylar and could focus better on the girl’s words. She nodded along with an enthusiastic smile at the suggestion of going to the marketplace – she hadn’t had the chance to explore it properly yet, and she loved shopping.

At the mention of lodgings, Lily’s thoughts went to her own; she’d only just settled in the Skatodi tower, and was finding it rather lonely there, not having got to know anyone yet. Still, she remained optimistic that she would soon make a friend, or that an existing acquaintance might at some point join her in the tower. Looking at Skylar as she approached the doorway, Lily, cheered by the idea, brightly responded, ”Well, we can go to the fledgling lodgings first if you want; I’ll show you where they are. Or after, whichever you prefer.” Despite having only been in the fledgling lodgings for a fairly short while, Lily felt more comfortable there than, well, than in any other place in Elysia so far.

Looking away from Skylar, her eyes fell upon a figure by the doorway. Recognising him instantly, Lily beamed, and raised her hand to give him a wave. ”Suka, hi!” she greeted him cheerily as she approached, glad to see him again. Remembering how Skylar had mentioned her plans to talk to him, she stopped by Suka and looked back at Sky as she continued to say, "Suka, this is Skylar.” She’d completely forgotten what she had initially been up to his office to inquire about only a few moments earlier – her short term memory wasn’t all too great. Instead she was content to stand by and let Skylar talk to Suka, if she so wanted.

Sky smiled as Lily began speaking. They were walking when she suddenly came to a halt. Yea lets go to the lodgings first. Noticing that she had lost Lily's attention she followed her new found friends gaze. A rather tall out line was visible in the doorway Suka, hi! Skylar gazed in disbelief. So this is THE Kurio Suka, this is Skylar. Oh um Hello, Kurio Skylar gave a bow as she was taught to do when she was a child. I hope that was right to do it's been so long since my schooling. The color rose to her cheeks as her golden brown eyes sparkled in the dim light.

Suka moved further into the hall, nodding a polite hello to the other Anyeli, Skylar. Turning his attention back to Lily, he nearly flinched with the title the young Anyeli addressed him with. Another had done the same only recently, and it was something he wasn't used to. Looking back at her, he gave a smile. Please... call me Suka. He said, nearly pleading with her to do so in the future. The title Kurio was... well he accepted it, and dived into his new job completely, but the name didn't suit him. He felt more comfortable with his given name than any title.

Looking back to Lily, he wanted to take her hands, and express his need for her with his job, but it felt... awkward. Instead, crossed his arms, but did so tensely. I need to speak with you. Erm... privately. He said, with a sideways glance toward the other Anyeli. First off... he wanted to get her full cooperation with everything he needed to do as the Kurio, but couldn't. He also wanted to test her. The test he'd come up with before... it was crude, but it made a lot of sense. A few tweaks, and he could go ahead with it. But first... he needed to talk with Lily... and make sure she could handle the power he was about to give to her.

My office? He said taking a few steps toward the door, a sign he wanted to leave now.

Skylar’s reaction to Suka had confused Lily; it took her a moment to remember that was the formal way to greet a person in an important position, as Suka was. Lily knew that Suka was the Kurios, but she didn’t see him as someone to bow to; then again, no matter how important a person was Lily usually greeted them the same as she did any other person. She stood with her feet fidgeting as Suka talked to Sky, her eyes only briefly flickering around the Hall one last time – she promised herself that she wouldn’t go in this room again, unless she had to – before returning to Suka and Skylar.

“I need to speak with you. Erm... privately.” Lily caught Suka’s glance at Skylar as she looked up at him. Lily was torn for a moment; she didn’t want to leave Sky when they had just decided upon what to do; it seemed a little rude to leave her alone. But then again, she also wanted to go and see what Suka wanted to talk with her about – plus she had agreed to help him out, and she wanted to do whatever she could to do so. She wondered briefly what he could want to ask to her about, but soon dismissed the thought; it wasn’t important, it would probably be something to do with the faction, and Lily was always willing to talk about peace matters.

“Sure.” Lily nodded, with a smile, her affirmation in response to Suka, and then turned to Skylar for just a moment. “Can we meet up again a bit later? Out in the courtyard, by the fountain – I don’t think I’ll be too long.” She said, her tone cheerful as always – but her eyes were hopeful. She didn’t want to upset or offend Skylar in any way, and so hoped that she would meet her again in... however many minutes time. Seeing Suka by the door, and sensing that he was eager to leave, Lily smiled at Skylar before walking lightly yet swiftly out the door, heading for Suka’s office.

Sky nodded as she was told to call the Kurio Leader Suka. She listened to Lily and Suka talk realizing that she was not meant to be in the conversation. She gave Lily an encouraging nod when she looked over at her. No problem I'll meet up with you later I'll probably go wander around for awhile. Giving her a smile she watched them leave.

She turned to look at the hall one more time it was dim in light and a bit scary now that she was all alone. I need to find the fountain but first I'm going to go explore a bit of Elysia. As she left the hall she closed the door behind her and headed toward the nearest portal.
