Some prizes cost money (ζ) while others cost karma? (KP). For most of them, as long as you pay for them out-of-character, you can say your character has discovered or inherited them in-game.

To buy something from the prize shop, please post the form on this thread to state what reward you're buying and which character is buying it, then send the cash to Xanth.

Footnotes

  1. Karma exchanges are purely out of character.
  2. You can purchase cursed items using Enchanted Items?. (You can get creative with both in terms of what the enchantment does, as long as you discuss it with Emma? beforehand.) However, please note that cursed items can only be found in-character; Xanth won't make them in-thread unless your character really, really annoys her.
  3. Enchanted animals are pets that have either been bonded to their owner by Xanth or that have special divine abilities. They are not the same as Companions.
  4. Divine abilities must be discussed with Emma? beforehand.
  5. Animals from Xanth's menagerie are usually different from the species they originated from (she likes to experiment) so you can customise them as you wish, within reason.
  6. Divine elixirs are only available from Xanth and cannot be found or made anywhere else. They're usually stored in ornate glass vials.
  7. Certain apothecary items can sometimes be found in the Bazaar for better value.
  8. Books for purchase are extremely rare and expensive. There are more available from the Great Library in New Alexandria? and the Anyeli Library in the Cloud Palace?, but there's only a small selection available for loan and the rest must remain on the premises.
